Just realized that the Dinachem is not actually under performing but it has too flower sites down below the optimum zone. This is due to me flipping it during its reveg. As you know while cannabis revegges it throws all these whispy branches from everywhere and since it was way at the back i didn’t really lollipopped it this time. So the lower branches were like vines. Definitely a mistake on my part.

I just stripped as much as i can because it still has some time to go. But overall, i’m glad to see that there are no detrimental genetic mutations. But this run even the main colas have these incredibly thin branches and thats why it’s leaning all over like crazy and it really has this vine quality to it. I mean without the neighbouring plants and the stakes keeping the buds straight it would just grow horizontal.

Really amazing properties of a revegging plant. I’m sure there must be a way to utilize this in a grow. Maybe with a really good under canopy lighting, those lowers could be as big as those tops and i would get solid 60-70 cm colas covered with solid buds from top to bottom. Surely, there was more than enough bud sites. Maybe one day, when i have money to spare on undercanopy lighting i may try that but for now, just snipped them off.

By the way even with that stupid amount of fluff, the tops and the mids are very solid and just covered with trichomes. Smells amazing too. Really repugnant as it usually does. First makes you feel sick but then it instantly grows on you. You come back for a second whiff and get sick again and again you take a whiff, it’s addictive. It’s a very good plant.

So overall going great, not only the Dinachem but also the Blue Kush and the NL are showing some real good bud formations and frost. I checked the trics and NL will be ready in a week or so, i’m gonna take another vacation in a couple of days and when i’m return NL will be harvested. Blue Kush needs more time (15 days probably) and Dinachem needs more than 20 most likely. 80-90% of Dinachems trics were still clear. I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to leave them alone for a week at this point of flowering but let’s see how it works out.

Terrible news. I just returned from vacation and what did i find? You guessed it, bud rot! Harvested all asap. Wet trimmed and manicured for a fast dry. I threw away a considerable amount of buds. All the main colas of the Blue Kush were moldy, about 60% or more of the final weight. And on the others lost about 20% of the final yield.

Buds were so dense, i’m still hopeful about the final yield but regardless of that fact, it’s still pretty devastating. I think a long blackout occured when i was away (because i found my air purifier was turned off when i returned) and that caused a rise in humidity for a while which is one of the worst possibilities that could have occured this late in flowering and with such dense nugs. It’s absolutely horrible.

I’m gonna finish trimming tonight and post some pics of the final yield. Still very heavy and solid nugs from the NL and the Dinachem but very measly yields from the Blue Kush. Well you’ll see. I won’t be taking any vacations in the final weeks anymore. Hahaha.

Thanks man. I really did. Yeah horrible stuff. I just finished trimming and still hoping for a solid yield on those. Threw away 3-4 nugs from each but the sad part is those nugs were a part of the main colas as dense flowers gets hit first by mold. Well anyway, the final trimmed stuff still looks like it can compete with my prior grows. Lower parts of the Blue Kush is still going under close watch but rh is normal right now and i don’t think there will much problem and i’ll utilize some microscope action to ensure there is no mold.

Yeah man. Total buzzkill. Thanks i had an amazing vacation. Reconnected with my oldest friend. Swam, drank, smoked and listened to our favorite songs. She’s the best. It was definitely what i needed. Very calming vacation.

But yeah i feel sorry for the Blue Kush. Those immense 9-10 could yield something epic but all of them were covered with fuzzy and dying calyxes. Just guessing here but maybe all that dry dead leaves gave a better chance of infection for the mold. Plus it really had the most dense main colas and i mean like really dense. It would be nice to see what they weigh but i immediately bagged them. I’ll probably still get some healthy stuff from the bottom as those seem unaffected but we’ll see. It’s still going under strict observation.

Keeping my fingers crossed too. It sucks. I just gave my whole harvest an h2o2 bath. Just to clean off any spores and all. I hope they dry quickly and no mold takes over but i had to. I just don’t want to smoke spores. I mean i’m sure there are still some spores left. Spores are though little things and they are everywhere so no getting rid of them 100% but i’m sure that bath helped.

Official weigh in:

100gr of Dinachem
130gr of NL
50gr of Indigo Lily
0gr of Blue Kush

All those big colas of the Blue Kush got thrown out. Mold! Lowers are still going so maybe i can get 50gr afterall. The sad part is those big colas, just a guesstimate based on how heavy they felt, were about 100-200 grams each, wet. Let’s assume they would have lost 75%. There were 8-9 big colas and each would probably weigh between 25-50 grams dry i’m sure. But now i’m shooting for 50 grams total. Fucking mold! Haha.

Dinachem had 2-3 weeks more and we know how that weight increases in those last weeks but i had to pull it early due to mold! Plus not lollippoping resulted in smaller main colas but also probably saved those colas from going moldy too. So i’m not sure how to feel about it. Well anyway next time not gonna leave one fluffy budsite down below.

And the NL, tossed about 15-20% of the buds so maybe i could have gotten about 150 grams and i was gonna do a partial harvest on that one and let the lowers go for a bit longer which could have brought me another 20 grams and really i can’t expect much more from one plant. If everything had gone the way it’s supposed to it was gonna be close to 170-180 grams. That’s my estimation of course. Well what are you gonna do.

Ah also after smoking many many tester buds, the indigo lily weighed about 30 grams. Probably was about 50 before smoking all those “testers”. Hahah. Plus i mostly harvested it at 37th day and the buds were much heavier on the batch harvested at the 45th but hey now i’m just splitting hairs lol.

So overall with inadequate training practices and a devastating encounter with mold that caused an early harvest for most 280gr of weed is mine. That’s not half bad. And i’ll probably get another 50gr from the Blue Kush which would put me at 330gr which is just fine.

Here’s hoping my next run will go smoother than this.

A New Beginning

Just received the seeds i won at the giveaway organized by @George from The Vault. Fast, discreet and intact. 4 went into water. Gonna do a fast 12/12 with the first 4 succesfully germinated seeds. Hopefully without any mold this run. No vacations for poor Crimson! Haha.



Strain is Destroyer from Cannabiogen.

All 10 are in water. 6 were already in wet paper towel but only 4 cracked so far. So i think i can manage 8 if those 2 don’t germinate and i prefer seeing all the phenos side by side to be honest. Memory is deceiving and if i’m gonna keep a mother that’s better.

4 went in. I’m using these pots again. They worked well for me in the past. Also in the background, i transplanted the plants from my test run into the pots of the priorly harvested plants. It has been about 4-5 days. Drip irrigation without nutes in depleted soil. Dinachem S1s look very nice and one Blue Kush x Dinachem cross looks very good eventhough it revegged for a week in the 3rd week of flowering but that happened to both of them. Other one looks cool also but still a bit reveg-y. I’ll have to take individual photos just as soon as i’m done with this germination stuff.

9 out of 10 germinated. A fine ratio. Nothing much to see atm except this dude just broke soil (red arrow).

And here is a nug of Blue Kush. From the lowers. Definitely good sticky stuff.

And here are my flowering crosses

2 Dinachem S1s. Neglected from the start. No feeding. Got transplanted into this pot with 2 other plants. Those 2 are way ahead in flowering and they actually revegged in the 3rd week of flower so they are really fucked up but they look awesome.

And that awesome looking fucked up plant is Blue Kush x Dinachem. Now the photos are from the best pheno of course but i’m only running 3 so if 33% is like this that’s enough. Hahha. I know, i know. Also keep in mind this gal also got transplanted in mid flowering and was grown without any nutes and with much neglect. I mean look at it and it’s still revegging. I have to name it. Haha.

Yeah i’m not sure about it. Not 100%. So i gotta eat it to be sure but it’s not gonna grow much in that tiny pot. Well, we’ll see hahha.

8 out of 9 seem ok. I think, 1 will succumb to damping off. Sad but 8 is better. Less crowded.

I love how adjustable this diy fixture is. I’m growing seedlings and flowering plants side by side.

Here they are all 8 of them. Sadly that one died. I’m gonna add a Blue Kush X Dinachem cross in place. It’s gonna be sweet. By the way from now on i’m gonna call this one “Lignite Blue”.


Here are the Northern Lights X Dinachem seeds. I’m gonna get a very limited number of seeds but it’s ok, if it’s good, i can just do another run.



By the way, i bet it’s gonna be pure fire. Rofl!

Thanks man. I love my diy. Plug and play usually has very limited coverage and even with one piece qb setups ranging around my wattage are not usually individually adjustable. That’s a great bonus. I’m proud of myself hahahha.
