Creating Female Seeds Using Colloidal Silver - With High Brix

Finally got a somewhat clear pic of Aubergine's new parts lol. Even though she was a post flip treatment she may still be in the S1 window.

I'll probably just cut the reversed branch when it explodes and beat that top cola with it

Bio-silver ultra colloidal silver 50 ppm for this one. :) I've been experimenting with early pre-flip and reduced treatments of one or two days. Three successes in a row. Aubergine is the same short treatment, but first post flip try. She still has that STS look like the pre-flips have so I'm really liking reduced treatments in general. I'll try for a pic at lights on.
This is very good to know gypsy, thank you :thumb:

While i have had success spraying once or twice daily for between 12 & 21 days, it can get to be a lot of work so this is valuable information and I will give it a go. I can see where it would be much simpler to isolate a single branch if you only had to do it once.

Yeah the heck with remembering to do something every day twice a day for two or three weeks  I'm not sure I've ever done it without missing a day or at least a treatment or two and the bottle is right in front of me when I walk in 🤦

@TheFertilizer I would quit treatments, make sure that branch is tagged and wait. :) She'll go. Still young yet. Just think of the immortal words of Orson Welles and Paul Masson

lol Well I hope so. I've only dumped 8 ounces of 240 ppm colloidal silver on it over the last couple weeks...

*crosses fingers*

Well I posted about it in my journal but I thought I should share here too... Not sure what to think of the progress of this. I feel like the pistils turning brown is a good sign but wonder if that's just an affect of foliar spraying. Also someone gave me the tip to put it on a brush and brush it onto the pistils and flowers directly.

CP from TF's thread.. finger tired rant lol

I'm surprised she looks that good after so many treatments. CS can beat them up over time. The burnt pistils are normal. Especially if sprayed during lights on. I still say she's going to reverse. Just has that look. I think I see something that could be a problem though. At least the reason why it seems to be dragging on for you. Typically, the Tri-leaflet stage occurs during root development or re-development after damage. Leaflets can be a sort of root system gauge. One leaflet is either very very young or poorly established root system. Three is either young or weakened. Five is good and growing. More is thriving. During one and two the hormones and other conductors are raging in veg and repair mode without much of a flowering hormone demand which is what the CS focuses on. Ethylene is formed with age and right now she's sort of ageless. It's repair mode that has things running slow in general. I refer to it as plant stasis. You can actually keep a clone alive like this in a solo cup for well over a year lol. I think things will speed up for you once things settle in. Right now I'm suspect her roots took on some damage somewhere along the line and she's stuck committing to too many things at once. I didn't read every word, just a quick scan but I saw you questioning the superthrive. I don't want to point any fingers lol, but yeah that can definitely burn roots. I would recommend water only diet for a while with as much dry time as you can give it without wilting. Slow and easy rehydration. Leave the wine glasses in the cupboard for ohhh, if things improve, maybe 3-4 weeks :hmmm:

this was sprayed for 22 days

and 11 days after the stop they look like they will be opening soon?

Break out the cork screw and cheese! :yahoo: Keep the glasses chilled though lol. This is the worst part IMO. Seems like it takes for ever but it won't be long. Once the nanners start poking out give it a little more time and check them by rubbing one between your fingers. The pollen rubs off when they are ready.
:high-five:

:bravo:
I love those calyx seeds. They're the ones that usually drop while drying.
Big fat dark jump right out of the shell .. oh yeah :grinjoint:

I'm learning to quit being lazy when drying plants with multiple crosses. I think from now on I'll cut the branches off and put their own catch tray under them. I've got quite a collection of what I call catch tray specials. The ones that drop, but don't know what branch they came from :laughtwo: Sure is fun working on the ID skills and at least I know what the mother is.. but dang a lot of them fall sometimes so watch out. They do make great donations without cutting into personal stock though. Seems some patients are more excited about the surprise factor lol.

I hadn't thought about cutting the branches off. Don't they still need nutrients for seed development? If not, at what stage do you cut them off? I could sure use the flower room for something else but I wouldn't want to take a chance at screwing them up this far along.

Also, after stripping the seeds, what would you think about using the plant for dry sift hash even though it has been treated with Colloidal Silver? Is that still a no-no? Even though they have a lot of seeds they are beautiful plants, I need to do something with them even if it's just for edibles.

That wasn't very clear, sorry. I meant when everything is done and hanging for seeded plants in general. Sometimes I find them on the floor of the tent too lol. There's another jar for those but it's a lot less common.

Anything the CS or STS has come in direct contact with is so nasty tasting you can't survive a small hit so I have yet to risk hash or edibles from treated material. Now as far as smoking or using the untreated portion of the plant (if there is one) I've had no issues from a flavor stand point. As a matter of fact one of the best tasting American Pies I've ever grown had a treated lower branch. We were discussing it here some pages back and I think the general consensus for the moment is that it's safe to use the untreated portion.

Auberupdate :)

I just cut the reversed branch for collection. I believe the rest of her will S1. She still seems to be in the window for pollination. This makes me wonder if the reduced treatments may also be faster. She was the one done post flip. At any rate I let her air pollinate herself, one of the Gobillygoo and a few other crosses off to the side. Once the branch was cut I also gave them a few taps with it in various locations.

sHe's dumping like crazy. That was just seconds after being bagged. :)

I haven't reversed only a branch or two. I always use a couple clones (one to reverse for pollen and one to seed). The seeded plants make wonderful hash once separated from the seeds themselves. Even using small clones I get many more seeds than I can use personally.

Thanks Gov, this is what I was looking for.:thumb:

I did the same thing and put 2 clones of each strain into 2 gallon pots but the seed barrers went on to become a nice, decent sized plants. They need nutes/water everyother day now so I better start flushing and watching the trichomes, if I can take some bud without interfering with seed production I'll get after them. :high-five:

I made like 50 seeds with 1/5th the amount of pollen in the corner of that bag. Did I tell that story already? I rescued some male branches my buddy threw out from a trashbag. Platinum Girl Scout Cookies x Cherry OG. If I end up liking it, I'll stabilize it, and call it Trashbag Kush.
