Beauties up there man. Looks like familiar terrain. My brother lives in cottage country, just outside Haliburton. We take full advantage of the snow and speck fish in lakes far beyond...lol. Lucky to be up there during the thaw, mild temps will lead to thick black ice.
Good call on the dock structure too.....crazy what shifting ice can do. You'd know on a point, lol.

Cottage looks awesome buddy best place to be in the summer time.....maybe I'll have to stop by @ Cottage 420 later this year!
C'mon up... We will be celebrating the end of cannabis prohibition in Canada on Canada day, eh?
Hey there Guy... it's a lake about 60km direct south of Algonquin Park in Hwy 62. So not that far.... It's a OPI (private island)
great location. A lot of folks fish for Lake trout this time of year. They catch some nice ones. In the spring the ice sinks ... its here and then its gone in 1 day mid April every year.
We bass fish in the summer when the beer aren't biting...

OK so a garden update is due.
I got to worrying about the mite issue and the plant that has/had them. It was the PMB plant that was WAY in the back. Must have gotten them from the soil is my guess. Eggs were prolly there dormant and as soon as the humidity dropped into the 20% range time for life.
Anyway I had no way to get back there and do a a proper treatment so instead of worrying about it, I harvested Labyrinth #2 and DT #7. Lab #2 was in front and not quite ready to harvest. I could have let her go another 7-10 days to fatten up. By that time I'd probably have a full on infestation so chop chop.
Lab #2 will be a smallish yield as she didn't have much time to fatten up. Lab #1 is more than making up for that so I'm good.
Now the DT #7 woah... turned out she was the large pheno. She was massive. I had to chop her down in pieces just to get her out of the flower room. I wouldn't be surprised if she's close to a pound dry and trimmed. The twin colas turned out to be from here and not 1 from each plant. After I tied her main colas back from the lights she put out those 2 beasts in place and they are also massive. I have several colas hanging the drying line that are at least 3 feet long a few are longer and they all have side branches...
So now I have room in there to get at the PMB #1... she turned out to be real tall but skinny, branches are not very thick and most need support which sucks.
I'll reserve judgement for now. If I don't see improvement she's gonna go too! I have a full room of VEG plants that will finish in >60 days so I won't really miss a beat if she has to go due to under performance and general lack of cooperation.
The good news is the Dolato #1 is looking REAL good. Probably could harvest her @ 50 days. Lab #1 she's looking REAL good as well. I could chop here any day but she's fattening up and doesn't look like she's giving up anytime soon so will take a test bud and put it under the scope and take a look see. Her calyx are still swelling and packing on the frost.
I have a Lab #3 in the back behind Lab #1 - hard to get pictures of her but she's a few weeks behind but starting to loose fans and color up some.
DT #6 - she's the plant I pollinated a few flowers and so I'm letting her go until the seeds are mature. I'm starting to see the calyx split now so wont be long maybe another week tops then Lab #1 will be for sure ready. Running out of space to hang plants! Not complaining.
Next round is way over due.
OK so this month there is a blue moon (2nd full moon of the month), it also happens to be a super moon (moon is closest to the earth) AND a full lunar eclipse.
Whats that mean for farmers? Time to plant your seeds.. best days are Jan. 20-21, Jan. 24-25, Jan. 28-30. These are the best days to plant annuals.. of course cannabis is an annual. The Feb 1-2 are the best days to harvest and specially medicinal plants. So that looks like my next harvest day IF I can hold off that long.
I will be starting seeds today or tomorrow for the spring round. I already have a full VEG room with overflow so I will have to make some choices. But that's good, extra plants always a good thing.
On to pics:
Family Picture - before the mini-harvest - Left side with DT #6 foreground & #7 - most of the big colas are DT #7 middle to back. DT #7 is probably the largest plant I've grown so far:
Family Pic - Right side - Lab #1 on the right in the front, Lab #3 behind her (not really visible), Lab #2 on the right in the front (chopped), in the middle front is Dolato #2 - she's still in stretch (has the green tie around her) and the tall girl in the middle back is Dolato #1. She's actually starting to turn out really nice.
Family Pic - right side slightly different angle. These pics are taken with me standing - the tops are head high and above. I'm 5'10"
DT #7 - Twin towers.. hard to really tell just how big these colas are.... look at the first family pic - they are in the center. Think a baseball bat size. Originally I thought 1 was from DT #6 but when I got in there to chop, DT #7 was much larger that DT #6.
Labyrinth #1 - close up side bud:
Lab #1 - side buds on the colorful side:
Another Lab #1 bud:
Dolato #1 - side bud - she's actually getting pretty close to finish here. No new pistols or very few. Time for a test nug! woohoo
Dolato #1 - another side bud:
Dolato #1 - I tried taking this with the flash... and I have a light setting that isn't for flash that I forgot to adjust. I adjusted the camera to try and normalize the light from the 1750K lamps... but then it make the flash turn blueish white apparently.. kinda sorta cool looking. Brings out the trichomes ...this plant is getting pretty frosty.
Here's my creative pic - Lab #1 close up - can't decide which one I like better. Something is getting lost in the transition to 420mag - pic isn't as sharp I don't think??
