Costanza's 2nd Grow Of 2022

They look really healthy and your LST did a great job of spreading them out. I know I wish I'd flipped my current grow a week earlier than I did. I always forget how much they grow in that 10-12 days of transition...
Yeah I get nervous that they're gonna triple in size when they stretch. My original plan was to flip on Thursday, I still may do that not sure yet depends how well they grow in the next couple days but most likely I'll wait until the weekend or next week to do it

Woke up to a plant explosion today. All the smaller stuff in the middle grew over night. I had to readjust every clip in the tent and supercrop a few branches. Put some clips on the carmelita in the bottom right. If they continue to grow like this I might be flipping these on Saturday

I'd flip those monsters tonight before they take over the tent! That's some amazing growth.

Ok so I didnt plan on doing anything to the undercarriage until day 14 of flower but I remembered how bad it sucked getting to the ones in the back with the scrog Installed so I decided to do a light cleanup on the bottoms today. Nothing drastic just a little cleanup to get some air flowing under these ladies and make it easier week 2 to do a final cleanup and check for cojones lol

Nice job! That's going to pay off big for you in a couple of weeks :) Do you keep any for clones?

Ya know that's the one thing I dont do that I need to start doing. I need to get a small tent and light so I can stop buying seeds and start growing mother plants. Honestly I am just happy that I finally figured the whole grow thing out last year I was ready to quit and I'm so glad I didnt I finally found my nutrient formula and got it all dialed in now I just need to get some clonex and a small tent and light. That sounds like a good goal for my next grow especially since I will be growing regular seeds and sexing them so that way I'll have another home for them to veg plus the clones

Today is the day for the flip. Will consider tomorrow day 1 of flower. This canopy is the best I am going to get it, so its time. Been giving ph water in base for the past 2 days in preparation for switching to flower formula. Will be dropping jacks hydro from 3g down to 2g keeping calcium nitrate at 2g, upping epsom salt from 1g to 1.5 gram and adding .5g MKP. Will eventually increase the MKP to around 1.2 by week 4 but will continue to run the 2-2-1.5 through flowering.

Day 1 of flower I think I might have a slight problem these damn roots are really busting out the bottoms bad. I watered more thoroughly the past week to promote even root growth but the roots are still chasing the water and growing downwards. Debating if I wanna let it go or try to slide them onto a regular riser on a saucer to let them air prune. Afraid this will only be a temp fix and the roots will eventually start to do it again. Damnit I was really sold on this self watering system well I guess that's why you test things out. Even though the roots are giving anxiety the plants look great, perfect color no deficiencies of any kind this is the healthiest plants I've grown yet.

Why not let the roots go? It becomes a one-piece SIP container, right?

Yeah I'm leaning towards that since its gonna be a real pain moving them onto regular saucers now. I was worried about root rot since there's no pump in the res like a normal dwc. I hope they're gonna be ok

its just insane, I knew they were gonna do this and I thought I had a good plan but once I put that scrog in my plan was foiled. there is no way I am gonna be able to move them off the self watering bases and onto regular risers on saucers its gonna be a royal pain in the ass and then once I put them back on the self watering bases the roots are just gonna chase the water again. I think I may have no choice but to let it go and roll with it so this grow is kind of a hybrid soil/hydro grow maybe I am the first to do it I doubt that but it sounded really cool hahaha

Holy crap, ground control to major Tom haha. I just sampled some of the hash that's been curing in the wine cooler for the past month and its on a whole other level than my last run. This is about a gram of the exodus cheese.

Day 4 F. Plants starting their stretch, I've been doing a foliar spray consisting of
.5ml of powersi bloom per gal of ph water to try and keep the internode spacing to a minimum and prevent a crazy stretch in this tent. Canopy filling out nicely and continuing to supercrop branches as they outgrow the canopy.

I recieved a reply back from ac infinity support. They said that the roots should be ok and air prune since the plate it sits on has a small air gap for this purpose so hopefully they're correct.

Day 5 F the stretch has started. Perfect timing today I received my oscillating fan. Continuing to bend the stems to keep the canopy even but its gonna start to get crazy in this tent in the next 10 days. Looking forward to the challenge.
