I did enjoy the job, but what happened was the company I worked for got bought by a larger corporation. My vacation time was cut in half, my health insurance is so bad that I can't go to the doctor for a basic visit without paying at least 100 dollars. If I ever need to go to the emergency room I will die because it will end up costing me 20k. Its just time for me to move on, and stop being scared of taking chances in life. The plan is to buy some land and start my own cannabis farm, so far I have a couple pieces of land I am looking at I just need to come up with a plan and take action. I am a master procrastinator

When you talk like that about the doctor it scares me.
I don't know how you do it.
Choose your bills or your health, it's a no win situation.
When you get some land and start growing, you will have to get your own health insurance correct?
What does half decent coverage cost?

Yes it's really a horrible health system we have in this country
 
I finally started filling up the self watering bases, and holy smokes they actually work. I am astonished, these things work wonderfully. I filled the bases up on Wednesday afternoon, and all 4 of these plants have been praying since Thursday and have grown at least 3 inches since then. I did a foliar spray consisting of 1ml of PowerSi original last night and my leaves are looking perfect not one of them is droopy at all they are like sheets of glass I am amazed with this stuff, think I finally found my nutrient formula that I will be using from now on, no more switching nutrients every new grow. The plan moving forward is to stop giving the base nutrients top feeding and continue to just clean out the base each week and fill it up with the Jacks nutrient recipe. Every 10 days I will give the microbe mix of recharge, Molasses, Kelp, and Tribus top fed around the base of the stalk. Once per week I will do a foliar spray with just water and 1ml PowerSi.
 
So I decided that I want to up my wattage in this tent. Currently sitting at 22 watts per sq ft with this 450watt led and my goal is at least 40 wattage per sq ft so I have my eye on a 260 watt led. Got my eye on this ac infinity unit that way I can connect the controller to the light, fan, and exhaust and control it by the phone app.

Day 23. Just bought that 260 watt light to add to the tent. That will give me around 710 watts and should help during flower since my par on the edges is low with this 450 watt the smaller light should help fill the gaps. Plants are looking great, upped my nutrients to 80% which I will stay at throughout the grow since my tap water is a little bit high. Currently feeding 3g jacks hydro, 2g calcium nitrate, 1g epsom salt in the base of the self watering pots and then a foliar feeding once per week before lights out with .5 ml silica per gallon of water and then every 10 days I top feed a microbe mix of 2ml tribus, 5g recharge, 2tbps molasses and 2 tbsp Neptune's harvest kelp 0-0-1

The self watering pots worked so well I ended up buying a light from the same company. Every single product that I have bought from ac infinity has been great from the build quality to the performance that company is really stepping up their game
 
just looking back at the last journal on day 24 and comparing the plants to this journal at the same age and this new batch is just so much healthier looking and almost double in size.

Well the plan was to try and keep them in the 1 gal pots as their forever home but I dont think that's gonna work I have root busting out of the bottom of these 1 gal pots.

You're going to have roots coming out of the bottom of any cloth pot with the auto-waterer. The roots are chasing the water.

Yeah I didn't account for this happening. I wonder if I put a spacer underneath just to let the roots air prune if it will fix the issue .
 
Hash day has arrived. More pictures to come
Decided to cut down some buckets to use as spacers between my micron bags, last time I had issues with the bags sticking together so let's see how this works out.

Didnt get as much as I expected but it looks really good and has a nice light color and good consistency. I think my yield would've been a bit better if I had waited until the temps came down to the 60s in fall but I'm impatient and I wanted hash so I had to sacrifice a little bit.
Plus It was only about 3oz that i washed so I wasnt expecting anything like 20 grams of hash but this is defintely less than I expected, hopefully its really good quality

Day 29 on these ladies. I top watered yesterday and took my pots off the self watering bases. Gonna keep them like this for a few days to allow the roots that grew out of the bottom to air prune. 2nd topping scheduled for later this week probably friday. All 4 looking really good.

They look really healthy. Are you just leaving them off the self-watering bases until you uppot?

No I just put them on the risers yesterday morning and checked them and all the roots that grew out the bottom have pruned themselves so I cleaned out the bases and filled them up again with nutrients and put the pots back on the self water bases. They sucked up all the water that I gave them yesterday I'm just trying to get by for 2 more weeks before I transplant to the 5 gal and then flip 7 days later
