Con's 3rd Indoor Auto Grow - Improved 3.0

i noticed it yesterday probably started a few days ago , i'm going to recalibrate my PH meter & flush with 6.0 water
Just remember to feed her right after, she needs those nutes to finish up.

Good morning Everyone hope your weekend is going well, week 11 and all is good here, still not much for amber trichs on the DG & FC x SN but they are still alive & the late Bud on the DG is starting to bulk up & smelling awesome, i've never had a plant that smells like strawberrys kinda cool, the FB is starting to get some thick & tall colas and Colors are filling in & standing a mighty 22'', the GC is standing @ 17'' and plugging along nicely just have to keep up with some periodical defol & likes being watered every 2nd day as well as the FB, the Mephistos are every 3-4 days now, temps steady @ 24-25c RH 45-50% PPFD 900 @ 18-20'' height, 2 photos of the GC are mis labeled as FB, spent 6 hours chopping yesterday thanks to buddy for filling 2 deer tags (2 nice bucks) & putting some fresh meat in the freezer, thats about it thanks for popping in & don't forget to cast some votes in the monthly contests

Congrats Amigo. :yahoo: :thumb:
Incredible pot and a freezer full of meat.
Hope you and the family are doing well.
Take care my friend.

Stay safe

I know I used to put my spent shroom cakes in my soil and my plants (veggies too) absolutely positively responded to it!! Plus getting a random mushie pop up!! Happy Sunday 😎✌️
spent Shroom cakes ?

spent Shroom cakes ?
I was wondering about that too, lol. I’m not good enough to diagnose that. My guess would be it’s close enough to the end that you’ll start to get that a little from the plant eating itself - the fade as it were. But idk. MH sounds like he’s on the right track to me. And it can’t hurt to flush as long as you feed right after as he said. You’re so close I wouldn’t worry too much.

There are a few ways to grow magic mushrooms, and one of them is called a cake.
When you're done with it it's full of the mycelium and other organic matter.
Really nutritious stuff for plants, and there are growers who use it as a soil amendment.
If it's not entirely dead you can also get a bonus shroom or two.
Someone on here used to live near a commercial (non-magic) mushroom facility and he collected and composted some of the spent medium they grew the mushrooms on.
And, being fungus, the mycelium has chitin in its cell walls, which can activate the plant's immune system.

yeah @Jon thinking about that & did some research and probably fade i don't think it's a zinc issue so i put 5 gal of ph'd water through it then a hour later i fed it & will keep a eye on it, & louped the DG & FC x SN & starting to see some amber on the actual bud so happy about that

Thanks for that @Melville Hobbes i was thinking shroom cake was a actual cake, makes much more sense now

Yeah, I learned that when one flushes, it’s supposed to be three times the volume of the container. So a five gallon pot would take a 15 gallon flush. Lmao. Even when I used to flush, I never once went that far. I always cheated less.

Any one of those plants would make me really happy!
spent 6 hours chopping
Congrats on the (venison) harvest. :thumb:
good Monday everyone, i noticed this yesterday on my FB is this a Zinc Deficiency ? it seems to be on just a few of the larger buds, what would you recommend a flush with PH'd water ? or just nute burn ? or just normal for late flower ?from what i'm finding it the bud sucking out the nutes in the leaves just going to do a flush for now with PH'd water
Two things: there's no need to pH flush water and (as Mel said), feed immediately after you flush.

Personally I wouldn't have tried anything this later in the grow since by the time it gets fixed it will be down.

Likewise! I never wanted to waste 21 gallons of water in Los Angeles so I usually used about 10 through a 7 gallon pot, and I used the runoff for garden plants.

I use grains (oats or birdseed) & grow shrooms with it in a tote. After a couple flushes (harvests) I mix it up in my soil and it helps my soil be really rich. Plus sometimes you'll get a few magic mushies pop up out of the soil!! Plus in nature trees use mycelium to help them. I believe it works great in living soil. Happy Tuesday!! 😎✌️

Good day folks i finally bought a 8'' clip on oscillating fan & also bought every thing i need to reamend my soil for the next grow, i have a question about reusing my soil, is it a good idea to flush it before amending to wash out residual ferts/salts/ions ? that fan is a powerful little sucker even on low she's moving the tops of the plants good & put my original fan on the floor for circulation, $60 after tax at my local hydro store $150 on zon Lol!

I am in love with your grow. Nice call on the fans. One question: are you getting accurate temps and rh readings with the gauge atop the light? And - is it important for you to know the conditions up there? Or would it be more beneficial to put the gauge where you want to know the environment - like near the tops maybe?

@Jon i usually have that temp/humidity gauge hanging on the tent poles at plant height i just put it there to get it out of the way to set up the fan, my hanger for it broke, i just use it for humidity & measure temp with my inkbird & have it hanging at plant level away from direct light but get a true temp reading from my temp laser gun the other 2 are out a bit

That's a good question Con! In an organic grow no. A synthetic one, probably a good idea though that's just a thought. What are you adding to it for the next grow?

Hey @StoneOtter yes i'll be flushing just to be on the safe side cause i'm using syn nutes & will be reamending with Gaia green Basalt rock dust & their kelp with EWC & top up if needed with the last of my FF Happy Frog & perlite

Interesting. I never reused synth soil or coco. I didn’t know you could. I thought the synth made that a fools errand. Glad to be wrong!!!

I appreciate you clarifying that buddy!! 😎✌️
