Conradino23 Keeps On Keeping On Outdoor & Indoor Using LOS/High Brix Methods

So here are the babies.

Pink Sherbert:

Honeysuckle:

Red Diesel:

No issues so far besides RD being wimpy and slow! I'm popping a seed of Dosi-D. We'll see if she'll make it above the ground. I need to check on my outdoor Gorilla Bomb. Probably tomorrow :thumb:
those look healthy im glad your starting one of those dd I haven't grown any yet to many other things get in the way I would love to watch you grow one those are regs!:)

Yeah keep an eye on purpling ones :)

No it's a regular strain from Bomb Seeds.

I have grown plants from Bomb seeds that were decent. I enjoyed their Big Bomb. Every seed I germ'd popped and the plants were very similar to one another. Easy to grow and alright yields. Their Berry Bomb did well for me as well. I did not care for their THC Bomb. It in no way lived up to its hype. Very disappointed with that one. I also did not get their Hash Bomb to pop (it was only one seed). I grew their Medi Bomb (#2 I think) and it grew ok but was waaaayyyy leafier than I care for. They hype their strains up way more than they deserve to be and that is the issue I have with them. that and they wont give out the lineage of their Bomb male that they hit everything with.

I tried to pop the Auto Bomb, but none of the seeds were viable. And this GB was a disappointment from the start, cause only one on three seedlings looked decent and now it doesn't even want to flower on time. Well at least I didn't pay for the seeds :)

Yeah that is awful. I avoid most companies autoflowers. At this point in my growing career Mephisto has the only real autos I would like to possibly pursue. The problem I have is I have way more photos than I can ever run and trying to work through autos will just further delay getting through them all.

I do not think Bomb really carries any of the genetics that you care for. You seem to really dig landrace sativas. Which bomb offers none of. Nothing but poly-hybrids with more emphasis being put on commercial strains than anything else.

Ok guys, here's a technical qustion here to LED users! I've been looking at different dual spectrum lights and although I'd like to get Advanced Platinum or Black Dog, I cannot afford any of these atm. We all know that the main difference between the high and low end LEDs are chips and everybody seems to point to Cree as the best ones out there! PAR tests in fact confirm, that their chips are most efficient per lm/W, but I've just found this test, which clearly shows how this efficiency is capped at 3000K and drops off at higher temps.

They've measured them against Bridgelux chips, which everybody seems to agree are 10-15% less efficient, but they're also up to 70% cheaper!

Well, the thing is that there are a few lights on the market with their chips, they have great reviews and they're also very affordable, so I'm thinking about buying a COB. What do you think?

I would go with a COB or QB, another big difference is heat sinks. High end lights use machined Sinks and cheaper units use stamped Sinks. The machined sinks are significantly better at drawing heat away for the diodes. The biggest enemy when it comes to efficiency is heat. Take Mars Hydro, if you can deal with the heat they produce you can grow top shelf buds the same as the more expensive lights.
