Be careful with that pink one'. I mislabeled it.. My bad, Pink Sherbert... The one I grew got big... I mean she does a good jump in the stretch department, mine damn near doubled. It will give ya lots to work with as in toppings etc just to keep her down low. But I'm glad your Red Desiel is good.. It is a pretty plant all around. Good strong weeds. And she doesn't do alot of the stretch. Makes a nice bush with acouple toppings. Got that good indica growth with chunky ass buds. In the last 5 years or so she was second in my judgings after the Puppies...... I know you'll do good with them.. The Honeysuckle,, shows a sweeter taste and a milder sativa stone. I did well with mine. GL and Keepem Green

BTW Cool on the hash.. Did you do with ice in like a bubble bag? I got lazy in my old age and do that dry ice shake thing for keif. throw it in a bubble bag' bag. I callem bubble bags.. Kind of a canvas-walled bucket with a fine screen bottom.. all different micron sizes, all the way down to 220 microns, which is small.. ... Add acouple pounds of crushed up dry ice with your weed and shake for afew minutes and collect it off the glass. I use my counter in the kitchen. And it's dry when it comes out.......... Just have to learn when to stop shaking it.. Or you end up breaking the plant matter to fine and the pounding forces it through the screen along with the trichomes,,, and you weaken the quality and turn it green... Blond is good... But I like what you got there.

There's no water involved. It's a dry sift :)
 
Dude, you should dry a dry sift with dry ice. You can freeze your weed making the trichomes cold and brittle... Add the dry ice crushed,, makes them super brittle and fall off the buddage alot easier with just afew shakes. And as soon as it comes out the screen,,, it's dry enough to smoke as soon as it's gathered... Then throw the rest of the dry ice in water into the flower room to boost the CO2 levels for a minute or two.......
 
So, you dry sift with a coffe filter? Excellent. You must mean a steel one yes? Cause trichs don’t go through the paper ones.

If you add dry ice Amy to the mix and shake through the screen,,, you'll get a larger return? I don't really know.. First time I did any hash was water and ice... But it is alot more drawn out process. And I found dry ice is alot easier? But I don't think the product is as good as water hash myself? That's me lazy as hell... I use to used a drill with a mixer blade and afew different bubble bags,, or screens,,, to size the trichomes for water hash. Just alot of washing and drying to make ice water hash..

Thank for to heads up! Honeysuckle is the most vigorous one so far although she was popped later. Pink Sherbert is growing nicely too. Only Red Diesel is a wimpy, little plant. But maybe she's just slow in the beginning.

I'm ok with my procedure. It's simple and fast. And I'd have a hard time looking for a dry ice here!

Yes get a coffee filter with as small metal mesh as you can get!
 
Thanks C! That’s fantabulous. I have one from the times I’ve done the water hash method that Norcal mentioned. You’re right Norcal that it’s a long drawn out method. If I can find this stainless steel filter I have kicking about somewhere, I’m making some dry sift this week. I have this VB 11 pen I haven’t even tried out yet!

You're welcome, Amy! I have to say, that this hash is quickly becoming my favourite nighttime treat! It's very strong, but not heavy and doesn't give me any munchies. And it's delicious! I also tried Dutch Kush eventually, but I it's nowhere near my SS or WQ.
 
There you go making me jones for some hash. Sooooo I couldn't resist shaking up a batch.
I had some trim from my last WQ, WW and GG. 25g
And some from the last two Panama. 17g

I lightly ground them in the blender, and put them in old spaghetti sauce jars and into the freezer for a few hours.
I then used a small piece of silk screen over the jar opening and shook for a few minutes.
The 25g only yielded .7 hash but the 17g yielded 1.3, go figure.

it was so soft and gooey, i just pressed in in my hands in parchment paper and this is the result.

I'll combine the trim and do a water extraction to get the rest of the tris

Don't judge by the popcorn! Taste is method related though and you won't get a nice tasting bud by speed drying anyway.

No issues so far besides RD being wimpy and slow! I'm popping a seed of Dosi-D. We'll see if she'll make it above the ground. I need to check on my outdoor Gorilla Bomb. Probably tomorrow :thumb:
