Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

Just finished applying the colloidal silver to the Quarter Pounder auto plant.

I was feeding the girls today when I noticed 20 or so unhappy leaves on my re-vegged Blueberry plant that has been flowering now for about 2 weeks. Started showing pistils about a week ago. To me this looks like a Manganese deficiency. If it is I have no clue how to get the plant more Manganese other then to increase it's nutrients. There are no pests on the plant.

I am real careful, to the point of being anal with adjusting the PH of not only water/nutrients but also when I give them just water. I PH everything.

Manganese Deficiency:
Interveinal chlorosis of younger leaves, necrotic lesions and leaf shredding are typical symptom of this deficiency. High levels can cause uneven distribution of chlorophyll resulting in blotchy appearance. Restricted growth and failure to mature normally can also result.
-Mn gets locked out when the pH is too high, and when there's too much iron. Use chelated Mn.
Manganese Toxicity:
Toxicity:Chlorosis, or blotchy leaf tissue due to insufficient chlorophyll synthesis. Growth rate will slow and vigor will decline.

I'm pretty sure somewhere in this thread I mentioned that I don't think I've ever grown a plant all the way through the end of flowering where I didn't have some sort of deficiency or toxicity that I couldn't understand.

I get them too and I am horrendously lazy as opposed to your hands on approach. I am curious to see if you can figure it out before me so I dont have to work too hard. ;) the deficiencies I see in flower dont seem to really bother anything so I just ride it out. Somebody told me yesterday or the day before that they get excited at curled leaf tips on the buds, I think over in my journal as a matter of fact. Maybe it is really commonplace and people dont talk about it. Lol.

Do you use a ph pen? I use strips from China.

Hi Amy and welcome:ciao:

Thanks beez :) I was here the first 2 weeks but hadn’t posted... so hadn’t subbed up! Glad i found this agin and I had a great time catching up. Like reading a good book, no days waiting for the suspense to break, just continuous action.

It’s also a very clear and concise journal. Your attention to detail is excellent as is your economical style :thumb: Everything you’ve shared is super helpful and clear. Further, I have thought that I might try seed making one day, but way down the track. After reading this thread I’m now sitting here working out how soon I can get to it! :D Probably next years outdoor run, once I’ve had a successful grow this year with the DBHBB kit (which is just getting going). I’ve already decided on some interesting crosses I could make with what I have  I’ve just been converted!

:Namaste:
