Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

I think learning to make your own seeds is a very valuable skill. It's a lot less daunting then it seems and can help you build a very nice seed collection. If one day the SHTF and there are no more seed banks it will be an invaluable tool.

Way to true ! But even buying new strains now to refresh your inventory and prepare for new crosses in the future is also a great thing! So many options and I can say that I look forward to trying to make seeds soon!!

Or buying new strains and making more of those seeds. And then look at potential crosses.

Something I have wanted to try is growing a number of plants in 2 liter bottles. I have a small 2x2 tent that I think I can comfortably fit nine of the 2 liter bottles in. I am seriously consider planting nine of my Sensi Northern Lights X Dark Devil autos. I am not sure how long I would want to veg them. I am thinking I would flip them when they reached the 5th node. I will have to do more research but I think I would want to keep the side branches trimmed off and see if I could have just single colas. I've got the first 5 bottles ready to go. I just have to find four more.

Is that how it works @Pennywise ? Keep all the side branches clipped and the plant will grow a single cola?

I remembered to pull out the Quarter Pounder auto plant and apply the pre lights out colloidal silver. The plant has not started flowering yet for which I am thankful. It's picking up it's pace in the growing department. The branches I'm applying the CS to are pretty small, but fortunately getting a little bigger each day.

I just finished painting the branches on the Quarter Pounder auto plant with colloidal silver. Based on history it should start flowering any day now. I wouldn't be upset if it delayed for a couple days to give those branches more time to grow a bit more.

Here is a photo of the bud I pollinated on the NL X DDA plant about a week ago. I'm not seeing any seeds on it. Maybe the pollen used (very first off the male) was too young/early? Maybe the bud wasn't ready yet? I haven't given up hope as other strains have taken this long to show seed production. So I'll just keep waiting and watching.

Here is an un-pollinated bud off that same NL X DDA plant. I am pleased with the purple showing through but also with the fragrance of the plant. Not exactly like a DDA, but definitely not bland like the Northern Lights in flower. There is good sharing going on with this particular plant.
