Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

@InTheShed So how about this plant? Is it tall enough to start bending it over? I'm not shooting for an upside down letter U shape am I? More like an upside down L shape?

Where the heck am I going to find a little round smooth rock? The plant in that picture is the Quarter Pounder auto. If I hadn't been looking closely at it to see if I thought I could bend it over I wouldn't have seen the small side branches. I believe in about 3 days I'll going to start applying colloidal silver to the two little branches and see what happens. I need very few pollen sacks to make myself 30-40 seeds.

I thought the consensus was that was the seed candidate! Your plan is better than LST at this point :thumb:. How old is it?

It sprouted on the 26th of October so that makes it what....18 days old today? I buried probably about an inch and a half of stem when planting it into that pot. The autos in the past that took well to topping I did some LST on.

And I thought because it is the seed candidate it's the perfect reason to try the LST on it. If I can bend it to the L shape won't those two small branches then start to grow like they were the main branches thus giving me more area on which to apply the CS? And more area for pollen sacks to form?

I've been rolling it in between my thumb and index finger like if you were going to super crop it. Trying to soften it a little. The main stalk is pretty thick/tough. I definitely don't want to snap it trying to train it. Maybe I'll wait and try it on the next plant that fits the criteria better.

We'll see what happens. I believe I will start applying the colloidal silver in about 3 days. I'll have to do the math again. I want to start applying it the morning of the 21st day from sprout. It sprouted on the 26th of October making it 18 days old today. So yeah I will start applying the colloidal silver in three days. I'm excited and apprehensive both, but more excited.

We are too! I've never actually seen this done, just read about it in tutorials :thanks:.

I take an empty 16 oz plastic pop bottle and bend them slowly over it.

Good idea, and why didn’t that ever occur to me before? Lol! I’ll file that away for future reference Derbybud. :high-five:

Good to know! I usually figure the lower buds won't amount to much and culling them will allow the end buds to grow bigger, but I may have to reconsider that philosophy :).

I found that with my quantum board the buds get dense all the way down to the soil. They give amazing penetration.

See, this is why I started this journal. I had never heard that before with the aloe. I've used Vaseline in the past, but I have to believe the aloe would be a whole lot better. Thanks for sharing!
Interesting read here ✊

They look good. You ever notice everyone is a rebel? What are the 3 holes in the top of the dome? Is the Recharge your rooting compound? I'm sure everything will work perfectly. You did a great job.
