Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

And finally, here is a picture of that bud on the Sensi NL X DDA (above) that I pollinated on Friday. You can definitely see it was a successful pollination. And you can see the purple color on the leaves around the bud.

Newty...........did he die? Or did you kill him?
A bit of both :D sorry to leave you hanging! I started seeing necrosis on the leaves and stems so he went for a chilly walk to the compost. I’ll try again next year! My luck, he’d impregnate my whole crew

:rip:

You might have cut a branch off him and harvested pollen from that one branch?

I tried that and that’s when he took his own life per say. The necrosis just took over. I think my kitchen table area was much too cold for him :( hubs likes to freeze us girls!!

Edit He had only 1 sac that looked almost open

Me too!!

The pollination of the Colombian Gold female by the Colombian Gold male has just about been completed. I decided last night to pollinate the whole plant and grow the two clones out for seedless flowers. I will dust her once more tomorrow. A friend asked me to collect some pollen for him, and once that's accomplished I will get rid of the male. Here they are this morning. He towers over her.

I tell you.......I got no class. I just realized I snapped the picture of the boy with him sitting on my toilet for God's sake!

I absolutely did NOT see that cause of that mighty boy. It is also proof boys like to stand while taking a pee;)

Well how many did you have? Had to have been at least 1k.
It was pretty close, although the number of viable seeds was much less due to the forced early chop. I have probably 350 viable and at least 500 that I had to toss. All estimates of course.

I don't know if any of you guys or gals would find this to be helpful, but because I am Re*#*@# I have free time on my hands especially when it's raining and cold outside all day. So I am going to try to take a photo each day of the Northern Light X Dark Devil cross bud that I pollinated with the Colombian Gold pollen. It was pollinated on 11/9 Friday so 3+ days today. Just because it was pollinated doesn't mean the pollen was viable (probably so though) so the only way to tell for sure is to see seeds. I want to see how many days it takes before I can see seeds on this bud. I am already loving the purple from the Dark Devil auto mother plant.
