Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

Well, it will have to do. lol I thought your plant was older then mine.

I say :cheer: for bonus seeds.

Those little guys, not so little actually, suprised me in a really great way. It really hit me when i realized i only put atf pollen in there. Now that i say that... there was a little Chocolate Mint OG to.... Oh boy this feels like christmas. Only these girls will be ready by the 1st of december probably:cheer::cheer::cheer:

So it looks like I put my Columbian gold into the flower tent on 10-18-18. I was going to get creative and use an old Peso or British Pound or some Deutsche Marks for the pic. Couldn't remember where those boxes are stashed but I found an old nickel instead.

The buds on both plants look to be about the same size. I guess then I'll collect pollen Sunday and Monday morning and pollinate the female maybe Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. If I find a whole bunch of small buds on the lower portion of the plant that is where I will pollinate her. Seeds grown at the bottom of the plant are every bit as good as seeds grown at the top of the plant. I don't need 3,000 seeds

Wont seeds from the top mature more easy? i have a tiny grow box and plants stay smaller most of the times. seeds at the bottom didnt seem to have enough time to finish with a earlyer grow. Now there are mostly seeds on the lower buds. Found them by accident:high-five:

NS..............The seeds you're finding are the supposed to be there? You pollinated the plant yourself? Often nanners will appear on a plant down towards the bottom and although not huge pollen producers they can produce some seeds which are found..........towards the bottom of the plant generally.

But for me seeds form and mature equally as well on well formed lower buds as they do on buds at the top of the plant. And in this case I don't mind if I find a couple hundred seeds up towards the top of the canopy. I know when I am pollinating the bottom pollen is floating up towards the top. And that's okay as the goal is to make seeds. But I also wouldn't mind some seedless Colombian Gold buds at the end of it all.

I spent about an hour today harvesting pollen and pollinating some of the lower branches on the Colombian Gold plant. The male hasn't started opening mass amounts of pollen sacks yet so I have to hunt for the open sacks. I was able to find enough to pollinate all the buds on about 5 branches. I snapped a couple photos of her when I put her back into the tent. If you look closely you can see white pipe cleaners hanging down from some branches on the right. They are straight (the pipe cleaners) at the bottom. On the left you can see a pipe cleaner that has been bent like a V at the bottom. The bent V at the bottom signifies that all the buds on that branch have been pollinated. If they're straight I still have to dust those branches.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Well i did not plan them. Probably some atf pollen survived after my massive cleaning? I think its the ATF pollen cause i cant find any pollensacks or whatsoever on the girls...

Interesting that the seeds dont seem to have any difference in maturing and potency. It did keep my mind busy for some time. We will see what they turn out to be and how many are there. the cbd has 20 at least and the rest will probably have the same. :cheer:

So here is a little known, non cannabis fact about me. I like to collect vintage record albums. BUT, I like to find them in places other then record stores who want your second child in lieu of payment for a $40.00 album. To that end I hit the three thrift stores near me every Thursday and because of this I've gotten to know the guys and gals that work there. Well today I walked in to my first stop which is a religious thrift shop, and the one I have the least amount of success. The young girl behind the counter sees me walk in and gets a big grin on her face. She ushers me to their back room where she points to a box of record albums. She told me a lady had brought them in on Tuesday and she wanted me to have first go at them if there was anything good. I scored two keepers........one of which (Dave Mason) I did not have. And the Beatles album is 2-3 pegs nicer then the copy I already had. So I handed her $2.00 for the two albums, and handed her two milk crates full of albums. Rejects from small collections I buy looking for diamonds in the rough. I cull out all the poor condition vinyl before giving them to the shop so whoever buys them at least gets a decent quality album.

Nice score... I collect LPs too and have a VAST collection!

Lots of pollen....

@MrGreene Just snapped this picture of the female CG plant. Do me a favor and take a look at the bud in the photo. The nickel is for reference. How much larger are the buds on your CG girl?
#canadianswag
Looking like a real sexy time in here Beez! #pollinationstation #pollinationcentral you might say.

Update on my Kona Gold Male. He died. The end

Newty...........did he die? Or did you kill him?

Update: Sensi Northern Lights X Dark Devil Auto Flipped on 10/22

This is such a strong plant. This is Day 20 since it was flipped. It continues to stretch and I swear the main stalk continues to thicken. I'm also starting to see purple on the leaves around the buds so maybe at some point the buds will show some of that Dark Devil purple color.
