Colombian Gold Grow: Come Learn With Me How To Produce Your Own Seeds!

Once the @SeedsMan Blueberry clone started growing I think it was about 3-4 weeks before the new growth looked normal. This is her today having been moved to my basically empty flowering tent.

I took a bag of buds out of the fridge to see how dry they were and had to snap a picture. They are going back in for another 3-4 days then should be dry. This picture is with lighting from the tent.

These two single bud pictures are lit by my office desk lamp so much different lighting. The color more closely resembles the first pic above. I'm working on my nugget of the month picture taking skills, or lack thereof.

Those buds looks great beez ! The blueberry has turned into a lovely plant so I look forward to getting these EM clones to grow out! Be interesting to see what big momma does and then illl know what’s in store !

Also wanted to show you the clone after 3hrs out of the domes! I’m going to wash the domes and let these little ones go!

Another 5 weeks and they'll go from being shooters to being smokers!!:ganjamon:

You did good Dutch...........Looking at those pictures they look ready to go out on their own now. I'm anal about wiping everything down with alcohol when done using it. I do the domes, cloning scissors, razor knife etc.

The first three strains I grew when I got back into growing were all from CKS. I grew White Widow photo period, Early Miss auto and Trainwreck auto. I actually used CS on the Trainwreck auto plant and made about 120 S1 auto fem seeds.

I use alcohol to clean my scissors, and everything every time after I use them so they are ready for the next ! I have washed my domes and they are stored for my next cloning adventure now !

The Early Miss you grew is what I have growing right now but neither of mine were autoflowers! One is a mutant and the other is my monster lol!

Thanks for the tutorial on cloning beez ! Seemed to have worked for me so far ! Updates to come over the next few days!

If your clones still look the same tomorrow as they do today your next update will be when they start growing. Probably in about 2 weeks they'll start I'm guessing.

All suggestions are entertained, MrGreene.....lol The thread is moving along but is it helpful? Did you learn anything you didn't already know? My hopes would be tips from others how they do things detailed here. I guarantee there are a ton of guys/gals on this site with a ton more knowledge then I have. I felt I know enough to offer pointers on how to breed seeds. But also had hoped I would learn some things myself from those more experienced. Heck I can't even take a plant all the way through flowering without having leaf spotting.

I'm having more trouble then leaf spotting this grow. It is self inflicted from being lazy though. I couldn't see investing much into the plant because I'd had two males already. The next plants to go into flower will get treated with CS following your example since I haven't been successful with the sts. The CS info and pollen application has been a big help. Since our Columbian gold came from the same package this grow is of much interest to me. Hopefully we share enough with each other so that our plans are happier.

Well so far the Colombian Gold female is doing very well. I had upped her nutrients to 100% her second week in flower. She didn't seem to like that so much as was evident with her burnt leaf tips. But most grows I've had end with the plant's leaves showing I guess one form of deficiency or another. I thought I would try to nip that in the bud by raising the nutrients to full strength. So I've made notes of this and when I grow out her two clones I'll keep her at 75% strength nutes. I guess till her leaves start getting spots

It would be nice if I could put photos here side by side. I wanted to compare a picture of the lone bud I pollinated this afternoon with a photo I just took of it now. I think the pistils are starting to shrivel already. In order, earlier today and then just a bit ago. I am seeing what I think is a little purple on the leaves up next to the buds. Maybe I'll get some DDA purple color after all.

I remember reading a book last year. The guy would pollinate whatever he was going to pollinate on the plant. Four hours later he would mist the whole plant prior to returning her to the flowering tent with the other flowering plants. So that would seem to agree with what you said. I know the Nirvana (from @SeedsMan ) was showing seeds in under 10 days. I just never payed attention before to the pistils for a day or two after pollination.

Tomorrow morning I'll see how far along the male came overnight and if he's got enough open pollen sacks start collecting what I need. If he has a whole bunch I will probably just off 2 or 3 branches and harvest from them.

I'd be worried about that male shooting pollen downstairs and it floating up to the girls or coming up on your clothes, but I sometimes worry about the smallest things!

Way back in the beginning of this thread I had mentioned that it's important to me to have only one source of pollen around at a time. My worry is not finding a few seeds on either of my two current flowering girls, from pollen off my shirt from the Colombian Gold male. Since he is my only source of pollen then any seeds I find I can put in a seed storage bag and accurately label the lineage of the seeds. Colombian Gold male x whatever he's pollinated.

I think keeping my other plants from getting pollinated is my largest concern about this process. I ordered the CS you suggested at the beginning of this thread Beez! Should arrive soon. I’m running autos, and I think I’m too far into their cycle at around 30 days.
