was macro the m u mentioned earlier, or manual. Those last pics were with my cell in natural cloudy outdoor light.
yes, I always have a 4 pack of batteries handy, and for a while was using rechargeables. The M mode is the only one where you can set the white balance correctly, but the mode you found as well as several of the other automatic modes, are very good at common lighting situations. Unfortunately, most of our grow tents are not common light sources, and there is no auto mode for that.
I do most of my best shots in the Manual mode in the tent because once setting the white balance I know I am getting true colors in the pictures and not what I am seeing even with my naked eyes. This mode since it is manual, doesn't handle a lack of light well, and sometimes a flash actually helps. If I want to set up a tripod and take some really vivid trichome shots, I play with the shutter speed too, slowing it down a bit to get more detail pixelated.

@DeanWest89 Have you grown with this technique before or is this first grow?

I have found in past that the top of your soil should almost alwsys be dry that helps protect your soil underneath also when your top is dry and when it is time to water because it is dry helps suck oxygen down into roots but if wet the water merely flows down thru soil to fast.

But saying that if your method is working for you :thumb: no worries than.
Why don’t you check out my journals my friend and see if what I am doing is working out for me, just trying to share the wealth my friend , :peace:

So my 4 cups of water has turned into 16 cups it’s a 4 cup measuring cup , I try not to let my soil completely dry out I’m doing organic supersoil with dry amendments , I am relying on microbial life and fungus to feed break down material to make it readily available for my plant . If I let my soil completely dry out I risk killing most of my microbial life. Which I have done a few times on my mint chocolate og grow. But in my grow space I have a lot of air exchange and with fabric pots my souls does dry out fast so I at 5-10% of the volume of medium of water to maintain a moist environment , not a wet one. And after a few days sometimes only a day I take the time to put as much water into the medium as it can hold. But this is a very big plant with a massive root ball the reason I add 4 cups of water to the top in between waterings is so the top of my medium , where most of my micro life is , doesn’t dry out on me , I tip dress with worm castings to constantly re introduce more micro life , I hope that gives a little more light on what I’m doing .

Good morning to all
The girls just shared their 1st gallon this morning. The pp's are stretching and the aks top fanleaves are much lighter green than the gdp.they are both over 3' tall and they are touching tent walls in the back and both sides andthey are growing into each other in the center
