Clones In Soil: Hybrid Perpetual Grow 2021/2022

Hi Trala, Oh, ok so the color will come back in the leaves once they’re all healthy again? I was thinking they were just going to get worse from here or I would have to wait for her to grow new healthy leaves before she turned back to their healthy color, Wow ok

Oh no that’s too bad about the clones not rooting. Will you be trying again or using another method?

Ps. Happy New year, chica! :snowboating:
Yeah I’ll just stick with dirt.

Your plants look great. Good decision on waiting. The plants will speak to you when they are ready. 10% amber on the top colas is the earliest I chop. I don’t really look at breeder times except to get and idea when they are ready.

For example my current chronic thunder and utopia haze I would have to go back in my journal to see when I flipped because it just doesn’t matter to me. I just look at the plant. That said I know it’s a roughly 2month flowering time and when to start to look at the trichromes.

Anyway enjoy your harvest. Looks like you are well taken care of and have a great grow going on. They look beautiful.

Perpetual Clone update, 3rd grow;

Gave clones @Prescription Blend feeding at full strength on the 1st of the month, along with some LST. They all look pretty nice and healthy now :)
They also want water 3 days later, so I think they’re almost ready to be up potted and right in time too.

I have them under 100w led but I’m only at 15%, when should I bring them to 100%?

Ps. I’m really, really excited to see how similar this grow will be to their mothers.
They’re already looking pretty identical.

Here they are on the first day of LST and feeding.

They’ve been in their solo cups for 35 days
.

The more light the faster they'll grow! I would start by lowering the light over the next few days to increase the intensity (no reason to add to the electric bill yet), and transplant them when they need watering every two days or so. Once they get settled in their new homes and have good new growth, let them start growing into the light. Eventually you can raise it and turn up the watts to penetrate the growing canopy!

I’ve always cloned smaller cuttings. When striking house and yard plants this has always been my method, and now looking at your large planted clones I ask myself why I’ve always done that loll

I’ll show you a wild comparison pic (maybe wild is an oversell lol). Two clones same plant both treated the same and they look like different plants! To the point I’m almost wondering if one plant is herming.

I always do the same thing lol I take the smallest clones possible bc I can’t bear to cut the bigger ones lol I was sure that was why I couldn’t get them to root the first time, so I took them a little bit bigger this time but not by much. The ones I bought from the dispensary were huge. BTW I didn’t have to buy any clones this time around, wow I’ve come a long way since my first grow. :hippy:

Ps. FYI I make sure to scrape the sides of the stem, this definitely helps 100%! I can tell you exactly how I did the clones this time around, if you’d like, just let me know :)

Pss. Wow, yeah, I’d definitely like to see the comparison pic!

I’m usually okay with clones tbh.

How much does a bought clone cost?

I’ll get a pic today, I’m uppotting both. The difference is cray.

9 weeks starts tomorrow and I was starting to think I was color blind. I couldn’t see any amber or yellow for the life of me. I can only see cloudy or clear. I started thinking I just don’t know what I was looking for or at, then I started to see some golden colors, finally so I’m guessing we are right on track. I don’t see a lot of amber trichomes though.

Looking good 420Girl!

How much does a bought clone cost?
Clones can cost anywhere between $25-$50. Yeah they can get expensive especially if you can’t grow and it dies, I did lose a clone I bought before, not sure what happened tho bc the others were fine and are now at the end of bloom.:thumb:

9weeks flower and all plants are thriving away atm, they’re still drinking and eating like champ’s, no signs of fading just yet! They still want their food and water every other day. I feel like that’s too long and they want water every day. I’m wondering now if I should have given it to them. I was too afraid it was too much water. But they are only in a 3 gallon pot and they’re pretty big. I think I’ll push them a little harder this next grow, now that I can see how strong they really are. I’m keeping a very close eye on them these next couple of days. :meatballs:

I’m so sad to report that my clones aren’t doing so well they have been rooting for 38 days in soil and 53 days from cutting. (24/7light) I let them root for 15 days in peat moss pods then transferred them into FF HF soil. I know they all had roots when I transplanted them into clear solo cups but I can barely see any roots in fact I can only see them on one clone. Am I being impatient or am I doing something wrong?? Is this bc I gave them nutes ff GB and BB (fox farm, grow big and big bloom) when should I put them into veg, I was thinking once I saw enough roots I’d transplant them into 1 gallon fabric pots and set them to veg, (18/6) so I really don’t have a time, will this be ok or should I follow a schedule?

Hello I am no expert but I used a different catalyst this year with great success the roots are beautiful.
I cut 9 and am growing 7 (dropped 2)
I also am using a foliar spray and the plants love it.
The products I use are simply called plant catalyst ( www.plantcatalyst com ) for a foliar/seedling spray as well as my 2 foot plants.
The root hormone I use is called Roots made by Wilson

Well guys I’m getting a little nervous and super impatient. Mostly nervous bc I spotted something that looks like a sack, I’m pretty sure it isn’t pollen this late, right?

That's not a male flower part though I can certainly see why you think so!

Here's a thread I posted early in my days here:

Wow those roots looked so good. Maybe I’ll give it a try on my 4th grow. I had luck my second time trying to clone using rinsed perlite. The grow you quoted was my first time trying to root clones, I only had one survivor lol she’s getting ready to harvest for rn. And I was able to clone her again along with 3 others using this method, in 2 weeks we had roots. I’m always open to new things, thanks for sharing. :Namaste:

I give my clones away.

I have a neighbour who mutilates them. Actually I shouldn’t be so judgemental she has improved so much since I joined here.

She thinks my son grows and the clones come from him. I literally pretend I’ve gone to his house to pick the clone up lolllll. And I’m always giving her tips “my son says you should/shouldn’t blah blah”

Thanks the first roots came out about one week after that they were hungry.
This is today's pics I planted them into pots.
