Chocolope/Critical Kush/Pineapple Chunk/Incredible Bulk/Jacks Smack In SCROG - LED

Re: Chocolope/Critical Kush/Pineapple Chunk/Incredible Bulk/Jacks Smack In SCROG - LE

I shared that video with a couple of threads looking for led advice. Let the platinum butt hurt ramp up haha. If we save one person from wasting money on an overpriced ripoff Ligjt then we have accomplished something ;-)

This has been a very impressive journal. Its plain to see that you know what you're doing. I also love the 2 chocolope plants you grew in your previous journal. I have 2 chocolopez (blimburns version) free seeds in my stash. Might have to pop them for the next round, if your plants are anything to go by.

There was a question you posed in your previous journal about nute burn in flowering. I like to push the nutrient levels until I see some burnt tips, and then hold it there almost right through flowering only backing off right at the end. Last 7 - 10 days I just give water with some runoff. I use coco, with chem nutes. I don't have any empirical data to back this up, it is just the way I like to do it. My plants stay green pretty much right up to the end, with just a little fade happening in the last week.

Feel free to have a look at the blue cheese grow in my sig. I've just completed that grow, and you can see what I mean about plants staying green.

Yes same for me, try to keep them green with very minor burnt tips if all goes well.

Ok so I am pretty much a noob but.... I have a few under my belt now and I have changed my setup a lot but...

If you burn them too much I have found in flower you are screwed... they won't rebound. Have gotten nanners.. hermie, No sugar on leaves..all kinds of bad bad ...

Now it is always my fault but when it transpires my DWC PPM levels where spiking (top feed now should be different). Damaging leaves and stunting it all to hell....

I just found running high PPM's on the edge in flower with DWC was a recipe for disaster. Recently I am using the less is more approach and find it is working so far. Well lets just say I am improving and learning more. That being said this Friday I am switching every nute I feed to a new brand. So the curve is still in learning....

Just wanted to be a little devil's advocate... I see alot of people want to feed the crap out their plants, burn them and get lousy yields.
I believe running that fine line takes alot of skill!
Kudo's to you guys for getting it... I'll keep reading your stuff and get there some day...
I'm not too far off but it takes plain old experience to get it and I am still getting the grows under my belt...Plus i am on like set up number 5 or something..lol

Sorry if I blabbed on and on... hazards of 420 on 420....

:peace:

BOO bet I scered ya lol

Re: Chocolope/Critical Kush/Pineapple Chunk/Incredible Bulk/Jacks Smack In SCROG - LE

I don't go too high ppm maybe 1000 max at peak of bloom then taper down and then flush for last week

Ok that makes sense... 1 k is my max i shoot for but was exceeding it to like 12-1300 with transpiration. I hear horrors of people running like 1800 etc and thought that was pretty excessive. Usually it has resulted in plant issue's. Now that being said only like 500 ppm is nutes then the rest for me is supplements. I count my PPM's with everything . I am not sure if everyone does.

Thanks for the info.. Good convo OG I appreciate it.

As you may have noticed picture quality had been poor with my new iPhone 6. Turns out there's a camera recall. I will get a new one in Friday then will take nug shots and more. Right now pictures look like money paintigs and even worse with macro lens.

Here's some poor pics for you. Better ones soon.

Re: Chocolope/Critical Kush/Pineapple Chunk/Incredible Bulk/Jacks Smack In SCROG - LE

I may follow my own logic and buy ten of these as opposed to 3 more Eshines lol.

ok i watched the Platinum .. VS eshine vid and If i was considering the Platinum I would no brainer go with the e shine...

That being said I run a mars reflector on one side (144x5 i think) and need another... I have been "wicked" pleased with the Mars... It is not overpriced as the platinum. it actually is similar it seems to the eshine price for equivalent light. Thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Chocolope/Critical Kush/Pineapple Chunk/Incredible Bulk/Jacks Smack In SCROG - LE

The eshine/platinum are different than Mars mostly due to the lenses. I believe that is why the eshine costs more than Mars.
I also know that my 260w draw eshines look brighter than my 340w Mars 2...

I run the reflector which draws around 315W but have nothing to compare to except a HPS 600w which well is not a comparison.. In a few weeks I was going to get another LED when the space starts to get used for flower (ran the flower room almost empty before a redesign) I need another and wanted another LED to replace the HPS there now. Maybe I will just order the Eshine... Would be great to do side by sides... Thanks OG for your talk on it... Made me rethink an already made decision and it should be for the better it seems...
Also I am almost caught up on CC's thread.. good nute info in there.. I appreciate the effort.. Great stuff!

Re: Chocolope/Critical Kush/Pineapple Chunk/Incredible Bulk/Jacks Smack In SCROG - LE

I'll say this for my little 0.02 on the eshines. First off I love them and I think their great with switches and brightness is unrreal. Now I also bought a galaxyhydro 300w for when these ,a dies get big big I could throw in a boost of some supplement watts from the galaxyhydro 300w !! Now compared the 2 for me, which is the only 2 different kind of lifts I have bought, the eshine by far covers more spectrum than the galaxyhydro. I can tell with the naked eye due to the galaxyhydro has sooo much red in it. I assume it is mainly bloom diodes.

I can't compare to mars, I just saw the pure quality of eshine and had to get them. 2 for the price of 1 platinum, that's a no brainer.
