ChemDawg D BX 3

Hey what's up? Hope you can get something out of this for learning purposes; I tend to not put enough info at times.

I'll put the first seeds I bred out in the wet paper towel in about 2 weeks. There were a lot of seeds, actually so many that the pot tasted like bracts (harsh and hot to the throat) so I extracted what kief I could from it and tossed the plant material. I think I'll get cheap bottles of Vodka to get second extractions from now on. But I'll try to pick all of the seeds so that they look alike. As soon as I find out what percentages of Sativa/Indica that Chemdawg D is (if the exact data is out there) I'll try to pick them according to some variety specifics about seeds I found in the Hemp Diseases and Pests book. Things like seed shape and coloring being signs of each type. Doubt it'll work, but I'll try it just to see.

From Hemp Diseases and Pests, Chapter 1: Principles of Plant Protection (I'll condense down to the pertinent info)

1. Cannabis Sativa: Achenes (seeds) usually >3.7 mm long, somewhat lens shaped with a blunt base, surface dull light-to-dark green and usually unmarbled.

2. Cannabis Indica: Achenes averaging 3.7 mm longless lens shaped with a more rounded base, surface green-brown and marbled or unmarbled, with or without an abscission layer.

3. Cannabis Afghanica: Achenes usually <3.0 mm long, nearly round with a blunt base, surface shiny grey and marbled.

OG Kush came from the original Chemdog seeds, and I've read many times that the real OG Kush is 100% Sativa. There's just not enough detailed info out there so I'm going to go by the Kush name, which implies Afghanica. The 12 seeds I pick will be in appearance a cross between the descriptions of Sativa and Afghanica above to see if I can rely on this same information when dealing with hybrids.

Growing OG and chemdawg together atm to see how they stack up against one another. Looking uncanny at the moment, it must be said! The OG is carrying a little more slenderness and height to it indeed..!

Note: I started 12 seeds in a paper towel this afternoon. I went more with the size and shape of the Sativa seed description and the colors and markings of the Afghanica one. They should be open in a day, and as soon as they get big enough to take a picture of I'll post a few pics. I'll be feeding them AN Iguana w/organic additives all the way through and planting them in 2 gallon pots once I've sexed them and picked a male.

Seedlings @ 5 days from paper towel:

The clone/revegs in the front are GSC with 3 nodes that I'm going to toy around with too. :)
The back is a Blueberry clone/reveg I kept to make sure the genetics were still here in case I liked the weed, which I did. :)

These are running @ 18/6 under a 200 watt full spectrum CFL in Roots Organic soil.

I'll feed tonight, which would be 2 days soon. They have the vigor to take it, so I'll put it to 'em.....

* I'll use the dash-1 so I can know which stabilization generation I'm on.

good weed PC:)

Hey what's up guys? Thanks; I hope it stays looking good. They're all staying uniform in height still but it's early yet. I'm still waiting to see how the feeding went but they look okay. At 4 weeks they're getting 12/12 for 3 days, then 24/0 for 3 more, back and forth until I see which are male, female, same-sex, and hermaphrodite. I seem to get a 6 to 4 female to male ratio most of the time and if it hits around there I'll feel okay with things. I'm going with the strongest male and female until I get both strains I'll be working stabilized, at which point I'll decide between the two to use as a father and as a mother. If at that point this first one becomes stable and I like what the males I pick are doing expect to see a "PotChimp's Lao Sativa x Chemdawg D (PotChimp cut)" thread starting up on the side. :)

I could potentially have that one done in 5 generations.....

Oh by the way all 3 of the triple-node clones I took from my allopolyploidy GSC plants are starting to normalize as they go into veg bummer deal :(
To keep the stress on them I immediately put two into flower but I doubt it will be enough to make a difference. The one I took off the real bad case (Polly) will be staying in veg for a bit yet. The other two are getting the 12/12-24/0 treatment along with these plants. I'll post more pics soon.

bet you cant spell alloplyploid again:)3times fast

:thumb:Subbed!Hi there PotChimp, interested in this grow as I plan on getting a strain like this from Herbies.

its the thought that counts:rofl::rofl:
Damn I spent time making that look really cool and it wouldn't put the third word in at a 45 degree angle like I typed it; well I tried to be funny but technology phuckt it up for you all thank the minds at microsoft for the lack of a rib tickler there.....

Damn I mentioned it on my other thread, but the Flaming Cookie order above got intercepted. It'll be a while before it gets in the dirt anyway.
Here's the clone I took from the first Mom finally taking after about a month or two:
