ChemDawg D BX 3

damn i have gotten so far off on my program with so many distractions i have not made a cross or even grown out any of my project seeds in ages, been doing all this light testing, but once im done with this upcoming test im getting back on the breeding truck damn it! lol its gonna take a hella offer to dissuade me! kinda like the current deal you gotta check out these lights im testing, total control and remote controlled with light schedules that mimic seasons 3 channels to control the spectrum each hour is programmable even a "clone" light schedule details in my sig,
im liking the look the look of your current girls looking like the room full of chem d i saw years ago now if you'll just email me some aroma i can see if its the same smell lol :thumb:

I'm burning a doob of the original purchased hybrid I started this mess with 3 generations ago right now. I read an article a few days ago (trying to get more info on Chem D), and apparently the smell I wanted to get rid of is the one I should be keeping. The guy described the smell as a sweet chem with onion/garlic. Mine smells like that and tastes like sooper gloo smells (with a hint of sweetness). There is a mosaic leaf pattern I should be looking for also, but I'm not sure if it shows up in every cut of Chem D. I saw 5 bladed leaves on the cut that he claimed was the real deal ("Chem D for sure and don't let anybody tell you different" were his exact words), and I see a few in the parents I chose, too.

I'm having a crappy Weednesday, CHH. Here's the latest: The male I picked might have been one of the seeds I planted later; upon inspection this morning I saw hairs on it. Another hermie. Everything I've done has the males showing earlier than the females, so I must have jumped the gun and picked it before it hermied and the female parts formed. And everything I've put into flower earlier than I should takes longer to show any signs of sexing.
I am going to take a clone from the female I chose and put it in with the mother rejects to flower out. And I am going to start 5 more seeds from the ones I have left to get another male (under 12/12 no mercy to speed things along). That clone should be rooted enough by the time the seeds are grown out to be light stressed along with those 5 seedlings.
I didn't like the male plants I had to choose from anyway. And with these small target groups to choose parents from, this isn't going to be the last time it happens. That's why I save the seeds until the next grouping has fertile ones in a jar. Still sucks though..... :(

see i think my chemdawg/dog genetics are possibly bogus, although very potent and good, the smell was a heavy fuel/pine-lemon cleaner very chemical gas unleaded taste , very heavy scent that hangs in the air whether you just open the jar or smoke it! spiffy gagged on it a few times and hates the smell /loves the effects but i on the other hand loved the nasty gassy nose pinching funk lol the effect is great but almost to powerful for me, i cant wait to try some under led i have discovered they increase resin and terpene production, nothing like you describe i dont remember any leaves with discolorations i'll have to look at pics and grow out some of the crosses i was stupid and let the first cut go all i have now is crosses with the ghs version, and 2 fem beans from hso,, my sour diesel #2 is crazy potent this recent round and it turned all sorts of colors, it took on a very gassy skunky aroma that reminded me of the ghs chemdog im thinking of crossing it to the hso chemdawg and the chemdogxroyal purple kush sooner or later the latent traits should surface since most of them have real cd in their parentage

HSO Chemdawg

Humboldt Seed Organization has a really nice Chemdawg if you didn't know!
Very potent, covered in trichs, and very gasoline-like in terms of the taste and smell!
I harvested one last summer.

The pheno I grew also had very subtle, sweet undertones, underneath all that gas!

:peace:

Ps, I read that the original Chemdawg came from a bagseed, and was the mother of OG Kush and Sour Diesel!
Did you hear or happen to read the same thing?

I tried HSO's Sour Diesel #2 and thought it sucked, so I'm holding off on growing the Blue Dream seeds I bought from them.
I think most people have heard the Grateful Dead concert story, but to my knowledge it's all legend and no one can even say exactly what strains they came from. Cool stories, though. :)

You too CHH. I was thinking today this may not be too bad of a thing. I've got all the mother rejects in a different unit and I can take the mother I chose and put it in with them. I'll no mercy all 6 of these new seeds, and by the time I see if I have a decent male the females will be far along enough to see what they're about but not too far along to pollinate.

I might be chopping the Chem D BX 3 clone today; I'll post pics later if I do. I'm patiently waiting on the seedlings and the other 6 plants. I haven't killed the dad yet, and I cloned another off the mother just like the other and I hope it's not a brother ;)
The biggest clone I have is of the original is taking off, and will need to be flowered out soon. I'll be taking another clone out of the pot of the one I'm going to chop to reveg it too.

:peace:

Congrats Chimpy...
