ChemDawg D BX 3

I got that mess thinned out a bit but these look the part for being cramped and not getting enough light on the tops. Here's two of the Chemdawg D BX 3-1 mom rejects:

I thought I'd pic the mother plant too (not what I was wanting):

Comparison pics: Here's one of the lowers from the original CDDBX3 seeds.

Here's a few lowers from one of my first generation of breeding those seeds (the tops are rough looking from overgrowing the lights in my other unit):

The mother did its job. Here's what I'm seeing everywhere on her:

I could chop her now, but I wanted to give her some food to last the final few weeks. They're at 7-1/2 weeks now and I wanted to try to get them as close to 9 as I can. Here's the rest of that mess. As you can see on the left, overgrowing the lights in the previous unit caused some severe leaf curl. Man there's a lot of big hard buds though :) :

$hit's fallin' out the door.....

I am going to pick seeds for the next generation by the physical characteristics of pure Sativa seeds as I described previously from the book "Hemp Diseases and Pests" (or at least as close as I can find to match). I want that seven blade leaf at the buds back; I've got too much five blade action here..... :(

yo potchimp looking good you know i have grown out 2 different breeders versions 1 from hso 1 from green house tho they were both very much alike telling me no doubt they both have started with real deal cuts,gh claims to have gotten beans from chem him self i noticed this about both when stressed from any reason they claw, both made rock solid nugz smelled almost the same the gh was far more pungent and fuel like the hso more subtle and pine cleaner like the buzz of both is nice the hso a little more head gh more cbd body i would say id like to cross the 2 for a hopefully better than both version but looking at pics of what i grew and what you have they look at times lke they could be the same plant, do you use cs spray to lock down phenos you like? i wish i had with the gh plant i dont know why i didnt, i did cross it with a few other strains so hopefully i get a male to cross to my hso female seeds i have 2 left from the 3 pack grew 1 just t compare and everybody loves it , i love what your doing here im a big fan of chemdawg and breeding in general im following your work closly:thumb::cheertwo:

Chemdawg is a funny strain I think it's been crossed into other strain because it can be finicky it looks like there's some possible Ph and moisture imbalance going on in those pics ,first step in breeding a strain is mastering it's growing they won't fully express themselves and or even display undesirable traits if they are unhappy in the least, the clawing can be minimized by getting these things perfect, funny how clawing can be caused by both over and underwatering and if the Ph is not perfect for the PHENO you have, I had some clones in different mediums of the first chemdog some didn't claw at all they we're in coco and I was using all organic nutes I never checked Ph duh!

When I get something I like, I'll make some colloidal silver. The problem with the second round of this is that I can't find any real info on Chemdawg D version 1.1 from Rezdog (I am going to stabilize it after I do the same to this strain, trying to work out whatever he crossed into the Chem D he had, then breed the results of both Chem Ds). I've got a cut I could use instead of the Rezdog cut (Legend of '91) but it doesn't have a high percentage of Chem D. Then, whatever comes out of breeding those two together: If it yields well, a cross with X-18 Pakistani and if not, a cross with Lao Sativa, then stabilization of this.

:peace:

P.S.: How long have your Chem D cuts clocked out at flowering? 9 weeks? 10 weeks? Thanks.

Tomorrow marks the 9 week mark since I saw the first hairs. First are pics of the Chemdawg D Bx 3 clone. I can compare some things, but because I topped my bred out plants and the original is a clone the look won't be the same (not to mention the clone was grown in super soil and my bred out plants were given FF):

Here's my bred out version. When you grow a 3-1/2 foot tall plant in a 2-1/2 foot tall unit and half the plant grows up over the light reflector you get this..... :(

Here's a halfway decent nug that grew in the good zone:

Yep getting close. I'll check the trichs today, but it's looking like 10 weeks to me. :)

:peace: and thanks BID.

Notes: The first plant I chopped has a wet weight of 3.95 oz. after 1 day (the soil was as wet as new potting soil when I chopped both plants; you can feel the wetness in the buds) and the second has a wet weight of 5.8 oz. Out of 9.75 oz. wet, I might get 2 dry, which is cool by me. The last 2 will go a bit higher (I think), so with the 3 clones harvesting in the same timeframe I should get 5-1/2 to 6 oz. That's without the mother, which will be dried for kief (the pot tastes crappy in a seeded plant; all bracts and harsh as Hell). Can't wait to see what my second round looks like.

:peace:

I dried test nugs after noticing slight differences in the plants as I harvested. The third one I chopped was the one I wished I would have picked for the mother. After testing all 3 I'm almost certain that UK Cheese is what I have to work out of this. I can taste it in all 3, but the 3rd has a light fuel and lemon smell. Next round will be different. :)

:peace:

The last plant weighed in @ 5.3 oz. wet. The soil was somewhat wet, but the buds had a dry feel to them. I didn't weigh the mother plant out. I'll just let it dry all the way, get seeds, then grind it up for kief. I'll post pics of the nugs before jarring what's left up. The next pics will probably be the seeds I pick, but it's gonna be a while before the next round. I don't want to overcrowd grows again and I have to wait a bit to avoid it. This weed from my first generation pick is good; I've been poofin' up the lower nugs as they dry. I'm burning a blunt of it right now, as a matter of fact. It's a fatty too :)
