ChemDawg D BX 3

I cut the mother up into nugs today and I'm going to fully dry the weed to make kief out of. Here's a few pics of the original I started this project with (Chemdawg D BX 3 from Canna Venture Seeds):

This project will be on hold until I have an open unit, which will be about 2 weeks (hopefully). Then my third round will hit the soil.

I'm starting to think that if UK Cheese is what the cross was to create the garlic pheno, I might think twice about trying to breed it out. It gives it a definite look, smell, and kick that my first run doesn't have. Most of the seeds are brown w/ tiger stripes; it's going to be hard to find 12 that fit the Sativa description.

The original is great, but my first breeding of it didn't come out the best, BID. I've got the seeds from the mother set aside but I've got a few lighting changes and tweaks to do in my units and a bit of overcrowding to contend with before they get started. Ten small, more-round-than-almond-shaped, greener, and non-striped seeds (Sativa traits) will be what I'm looking for.
I have a clone/reveg of the original strain starting to grow again and I put this last clone I chopped into reveg too. I smoked most of the mother rejects up in blunts, but I have about 1/2 a quart jar of that last clone. I tumbled the mother plant once, got about 4 grams of kief, and instead of tumbling a second time (I knew there was more on the plant material) I put it in a jar and have been soaking it in 50% ABV vodka to tincture it. I've been adding the kief to make the mother reject blunts more like blunt bombs they get me plenty high :)

I'll let everybody know how the tincture turned out after I strain it in a few days..... :peace:

That's exactly how my serious 6 smells. The cheese goes away when you grind it and you're left with a mildly spicy, super sweet smoke. Congrats
 
Wow CD that's not lemony fuel? How odd first time I have ever heard of it not being anywhere from strong to overpowering! My first CD was just horrendous the second was very strong W/less pinesol more fuel ,I have a cross I want to try of CD x rpk I call purple puppy

i'm pretty sure the fuel comes from the aurora indica in the cross (super skunk x n.l.) hit that with el dorado/chemdawg and you've got yourself diesel, or a fuely chemdawg.
 
My first CD was from green house,second Hso, so far I like the green house better, but I have 2 more Hso beans to try,perhaps I will get a PHENO with that kick, and the cross I made was a royal purple kush from emerald triangle,it a black afgani x bubba kush so it should be a beast the male was a rare one that grew a Forrest of Trichs and yeilder a half cup of pollen initially we got ripped smoking male flowers and the taste was chemmy and dark sweetness, it has brought power and frost to every girl he has touched and color:thumb:
 
the green house seeds chemdawg is not a lone chemdawg, I think it's diesel x og kush, which is probably why you got a lot of fuel out of it.

I would like to try that purple kush. that cross sounds awesome. I have a blackout kush cut which turns purple, its genetics are g13 x og kush from Jamaica seeds.

I'm smoking a joint of CDD BX 3 right now. I may change my initial guess as to what is in the cross to Afghani #1 instead of UK Cheese, although it could be either or something else entirely (I'm basing this on the more cured out smell). And now that it's cured out a bit, the taste poofing the smoke out has the lemon fuel to it; even burns a little. He uses that garlic pheno father a lot in his crosses. Wish I knew how he did the backcrosses..... :(

Hate to show my age (chimps live a long time), but the first stapled together grow book I had gave a method of hashmaking that involved collecting the female resin and using the male pollen as a mixture to harden the sticky ball of female resin, then putting this under a stack of bricks to compress it (according to the same book, it's the only place on a male plant that has any measurable amount of THC). Maybe I'll smoke a doob of male flowers as an experiment to see..... :)
