Chef De Green Does It All: Reveg, Clones, Autos & Photos

Im so excited for these girls to be at 50+ days!
I read that wrong. You're excited for them to get to 50+ days. I was trying to think of the nicest, most polite way to suggest you cull them if they were at 50+ days and that small.

Lol! You don’t have to sugarcoat it with me Beez. I would definitely cull them if they were 50+ days post sprout.
Oh hey, good news. My Sour Bubba will be here on Thursday!

That's excellent news. I began placing my order for Jellium seeds yesterday. Pretty sure I shared these photos with you. I've a nasty head cold so I've been in lala land for the past couple days. And the older I get the worse these head colds affect me. All I wanted to do yesterday was lay on the recliner and sleep. Of course about every 3 hours like clockwork my two Boston Terriers would pounce on me wanting to go outside. But yeah, the Jellium plant I have been treating has started to give me some much awaited pollen. I reversed a pretty small plant (lack of space) but I am hopeful I can get at least a couple dozen seeds off of her. For whatever reason she's just not producing buds. Every node where a bud could/should grow there are pollen sacks top to bottom on the plant. Almost as if she has turned into a male. I'm finding a pistil here and a pistil there and dusting them. I'm hoping she'll start to sprout some flowers here soon as she should stretch some more.

Maybe your CS or STS or whatever you used tricked the whole plant. All that stuff is an ethylene inhibitor so that only the staminate flowers produce and you get the pollen. You might put some ripe fruit in with this girl now. A ripe apple of banana should produce some ethylene to enhance female flower development.

I was just thinking the same thing! Put some ripe fruit in there, get her to go back to female parts. @beez0404 you should hit some other girls with that pollen! Like the skunk#1, make some Skunk Jelly! Or wait, is your original skunk girl too far along for pollen?

I have a banana I can lay on top of the soil underneath the plant. The plant was flipped on 11/15 so I was counting on a little more stretching. Do I eat the banana and put the peel under the plant? Or do I put the whole banana under there?

I’d put the whole banana in there. If I remember correctly I think if there’s a way to suspend the banana closer to the flowers it’d be better. I remember Sue saying something along those lines.

If I end up with a bunch of fruit flies I'm gonna hunt you suckers down!! ;)

Alright folks, update time;

Update December 9, 2019
Hey everybody, things have blown up this last week. My NL is about 16 inches tall today, I’m going to up pot her to 3 gallons tomorrow and top her the next day or so. I took the bottom 4 branches for clones as well. Oh yeah... she’s also showing pistils already. That’s the fastest I’ve ever seen pistils on a photoperiodic plant.

Next we’ll check out the God’s Gift. She’s looking great these days and should be ready to go up to a 1 gallon fabric sometime this week. She lagged behind a while, but if she turns out female I’m hoping she’s gonna be delicious.

Now my two DDa girls. One of which is really variegated. She’s getting larger though, so she’s clearly still growing. I’m sure she’ll put out some regular leaves soon. Girl 2 has a couple little variegated leaves, but she’s starting to put out regular leaves already. Im so excited for these girls to be at 50+ days!

next up is the QPAXTDA. She’s looking really happy in her 3 gallon fabric. I’ve been giving her full strength nutes and she loves it. She’s put out quite a few pistils already, but I’m hoping she stretches a bit more yet.

Lastly, all the clones. They’re shooting up! The tallest one is over 8 inches now. I’m going to have to up pot the two oldest ones very soon, definitely this week as well. PG on the left and GF on the right. I potted one more SP clone and filled the box up with the 4 NL cuttings

well, that’s it for now from my garden. I’ll leave you all with a family shot.

ChefDGreen, you got it going on. Beauty. :woohoo:

The NL is showing pistils? You mean pre-flowers right? She's not starting to flower is she?

Yeah she’s just got her preflowers come in. They’ve got pistils though, so we can be sure she’s a lady.

I upped her to a 3 gallon fabric yesterday. Today she seems just as perky as ever so I topped her finally. She’s got about 2 weeks left before she goes into flower.

What size pot will you flower her in? Mine were a perfect size for my tent in 5 gallon fabric pots.

I would’ve like to flower her out in a 5 gallon pot, but I think I may just stick with the 3 because remember my flower tent is only 30”x30”x63”. If I put her in a 5 gallon pot I’m gonna have to spread her out.. and that’s gonna make it rough to get another couple rounds of plants in there so I can harvest perpetually.

I’ll have to see, but I think I could get her in a five gallon pot and still have space to add 4 1 gallon clones. ( 2 when the NL is at 3 weeks and 2 more when the NL is at 6 weeks). I think my best lay out for my flower space though is 4 3 gallon girls. Chopping and adding one every 2-3 weeks.

Hey everybody, I’ve been sort of neglecting my garden cause of a health issue I was having to deal with. I’m feeling better now, so I decided I’d take some photos and do an update.

Update December 14, 2019
Where to start.... I guess we’ll begin with the Star Pupil. She’s probably been the most neglected girl of all. I just had her in the corner and would give her some nutrients when she starts to wilt. I’ve decided she’s going to flower out along side the NL. So I went through and cleaned up all of her under growth. I also removed every branch except for the 8 strongest. I’m considering taking her root ball out of the pot, breaking up the bottom some. Id then put her in some fresh soil in the same pot... what do you all think? Here she is before trim and after:

I’ll be perfectly happy to throw her into flower in less than a month.
Moving on, let’s check out the Quarter Pounder auto x Tangerine Dream auto. In less than an hour after my last post, I believe, I gave this girl a bend. I wanted all of her tops to receive direct light. since she’s so small, I achieved that without going over the side of her pot. She really looks great now and is starting her bud production. I hope she gets nice and fat.

Let’s do the Dark Devil autos next. Girl 1 is very odd and lanky. She’s all variegated with strange leaves still. She hasn’t grown out of it. She does have some pistils showing though. Girl 2 is kind of having trouble anchoring to the soil.. she seems to be going into the dirt at an angle. It shouldn’t be too much of a problem really ultimately. Her top is just like a ball of nodes. for a while I thought she had turned herself into a topped plant cause the leaves came out the same direction.

Now let’s check out the Northern Lights. Again, directly after the last update I topped this girl, she was 16 inches tall. Her lower branches are coming up great and her new tops have grown about an inch. You guys might notice some damage on the lower leaves. I’m pretty sure that damage was caused by being cramped in her 1 gallon pot a few too many days. She’s got probably 14–18 days until she needs to flower. I’m incredibly excited about this plant. Could be the best smoke I’ve ever grown. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Time for the God’s Gift. She’s looking great now. I up potted her into a 1 gallon fabric and she’s just lovin it. No slowing down at all.

Last but not least, the clone army. Here they all are... most of them need to go up to 1 gallon fabrics. The 2 SP clones are down front. Everything else is Cookies n Chem. The first NL cutting has shown roots already:woohoo:. The SP in the back should’ve been in soil like a week ago. I’m going to deal with all of these chores as soon as I post this.

I don’t think I’m going to take any more cuttings.... LOL. What do you all think?

That’s it for now.

Wow, I'd say you've got that cloning down to a system. Wouldn't it be nice if you could set up a table on the street and sell rooted clones? All the youngsters are looking really nice. I think the God's Gift would have enjoyed being up-potted a little earlier but she's coming along now real nicely. I'm not sure what to say about those DDA plants. Debating if I should be delicate and gentle or give you the straight shot. Maybe I can do both. DDA#1...….kill that sucker and put it out of it's misery. I think #2 will get big enough to give you a taste of DDA buddage and won't take up hardly any room at all. I say get yourself a 4 or 5 gallon plastic pot, fill it with rinsed perlite, and sow yourself a DDA seed right into the perlite and try growing a hempy plant. Happy to help you get that set up right.

I too can't wait to see the NL as she gets into flowering. Both the GG and NL have great color.

I would set up a nursery table outside my house tomorrow if I could.. the clones probably wouldn’t like the snow but I bet I’d still get buyers! :laughtwo:
You can always give it to me straight Beez. I can take it. I may end up putting #1 out of her misery, but only if it comes down to it and it has to be done. I may be able to maneuver my way into keeping her around through to harvest. If not through to harvest, long enough to see that she really is a waste of my efforts.... i mean, she’s got some vigor to her.. maybe she’ll pull it out before bud production starts. If not, I’m not too upset. I’ll recycle her soil and move on.. that’ll free up some much needed space for the clones.

when I have the need for another auto I’ll make sure to come find you about the hempy set up.

I’m gonna post this on my journal too just so that you guys who are keeping up with me can get a chance to look it over.

Its a flow chart of the way I dry and cure my buds using the low and slow method
