Chef De Green Does It All: Reveg, Clones, Autos & Photos

I dunked a GG#4 in the drink about 2 days ago. She sank in about 6 hours so I put her in a cup and set her up on top of the light. Sure enough she was standing tall with a helmet on tonight, so I got some tweezers and cleaned her up. That was about 2 hours ago.

I’m really excited about this one. I have it on good authority that this seed is an original forum cut s1. Gorilla Glue is know for its devastating tone change and crazy trichome production. Should make for some sticky flowers that get me ripped. I’ll probably let her go a bit long too; I like to be able to smoke it after work and chill, then sleep.

Today isn’t my normal update day of the week, but my Northern Lights is just lookin so happy and so shiny!

She is a pretty one!

Also, she doesn’t need to be defoliated. I’ve never purposely taken a fan leave off of her. I have, however, collected about 10 perfectly healthy fan leaves off the ground in the last 24 hours that she deemed “unfit” to go on growing.

Hey everyone,
Before I do my update. I’d just like to say
RIP Kobe and Gianna Bryant
It’s a terrible tragedy. Although I’m not a big fan of sports, I recognize the loss of a tremendous talent and stand up guy. His daughter who was only 13 had only begun to live. I feel for the families who lost someone in the accident.

Alright, now down to business;

Flower Tent Day 27
Last day of week 4 and I’ve gotta say, winter has come. The CnC is looking frosty as hell. The trichomes go all the way out to cover the fan leaves. I like way my super cropped CnC looks, so I went ahead and did the other one. The NL has this sneaky kind of frost that just coats everything. She’s really sticky already, you can feel it between your fingers. That and her colas are stacking up perfectly. Shes going to yield heavy im thinking. The SP is also getting incredibly frosty. It’s just harder to tell from farther away because of the dark purple.

A word about how I’ve been feeding my girls

I think I’dialed in on how I’m going to finish these plants off. The CnCs have responded really well to 8.5g/gal of MC so I’ll keep them there. My last feed on the NL I gave her 850ppm of MC which was about 9.5g/gal. She’s responding better than I imagined, so I’ll keep her at that as well. I switched the SP to dyna-gro a couple of days ago. She seemed to be unhappy with the amount of N in the MC.dyna-gro has a low N and higher P. I think ive noticed some leaves near the top of the plant flattening out. We’ll see how it progresses over the next week.

I also moved up my CoB panel because i noticed some bleaching on two of the NL tops and one on the CnC.

anyways here they are

Your plants on a whole are looking fantastic. :goodjob:

Do you ever consider selective harvest of fan leaves during flowering? I'll remove about 6-10 a week that are blocking buds near the top 6 inches of the plant. I see about 8 or 10 I would trim off your Star Pupil plant to get the buds fully into the light. I am a believer that if the plant feels like it needs more leaves it will grow them. Same way it cannibalizes them when there are too many.

I know what you mean about the selective harvesting. Normally I’d be all over it, but last run I think I may have hurt my results by defoliating too much. I’ve sort of opted for a more au naturale flower run this go. I was sitting there looking at the SP a couple days ago thinking I should take off some of her big fans that are on the inside of the canopy..

Which ones would you take Beez?

Well I can only see the buds at the top of the plant so the handful that are over top of buds blocking them from the light.

So, my concern is that buds like this one will fall behind if I remove the corresponding fan leaf.. it’s about 6 inches down from the top of the canopy, but it’s fan leaf is up in the main canopy. It’s the same size as all of the nodes above it.

You have to do what works best for you.

I think I will just let them go as they are. I constantly tuck those fan leaves down into the canopy so I think that helps. I’m thinking she’ll tell me when she doesn’t need those fans anymore.

You are such a plant whisperer. ;)

Beautiful job Chef! Lovely colors you got going on there.
thank you so much MrS. My Northern Lights has really taken to the MC via ppm.

Hey @ChefDGreen , you're right, the NL is nice, but I love the color in the SP!

PS- it's nice to see you tracking ppm - I'll certainly find that helpful in a few more weeks when I flip to MC.

Thanks for stopping in DrCanna! My SP this run is already frostier than she was around this time last cycle. I’m extremely happy with what I’m seeing so far with the MC. I’m sort of using my
cookies n chem as a gage for how complete of a flower nutrient it is. This is my third run in a row with the CnC , my first run was the better of the first two. I was feeding BPN elite 3 part using their ratio on the bottle and using their ppm on their website. The feeding in flower was 12-1300ppm. My flowers were huge and sticky even under blurple lights. I’m impress with how the MC compares.. and much easier to use... I just need to be careful that the strength of the feed is where it should be. My strains like heavy nutrients, and they reward me well when they get it.

Cool! I'll tag along for the ppm wisdom - that's how I like to feed - then I use fan leaf color as a visual feedback.

I think we should stop using TDS(PPM) and only use EC. EC is a universal measurement, while TDS(PPM) can be measured on one of four different scales, depending on the region. These scales vary from EC in µS times 500 to 700, depending on which scale is used. When is the last time you saw a member with a problem specify which TDS scale they were using?
