Chef De Green Does It All: Reveg, Clones, Autos & Photos

I have a Fox Farm measuring spoon set. The one I use for mixing a gallon is 1 tsp. When I was growing my NL plant I was mixing a full to slightly heaping 1 tsp of Mega Crop version 1 to a gallon of well water and she loved it. I don't think it would make a bit of difference that you're using version 2.

I weighed my MC, 16.5g for 3 gallons of water. So 5.5g/gal. I think the next feed I’m going to do 6.5g and see how she responds. It’s strange, the g/gal recommendation for early bloom is 5g/gal, but the EC recommendation is like 1.3... for me 5g/gal gets me no where close to 1.3 ec... I wonder what @MrSauga would say about that

Actually I guess ~600ppm is right in the 1.3 range. 600x2/1000=1.2 ec. Full bloom is 1.7 ec. So my ppm should be around 1.7x1000/2=850ppm.

That MC has got some smell to it huh?

We always recommend to go in half gram increments unless there's a need to hit it high right away. To me you look like early flower so I would go 6g for a feed or two then to 6.5g.

lol, yes it sure does!

6.5 mg is the magic number with MC

Just some photos with not too much explanation. The NL has really huge button tops already.

my QPaxTDa is swelling now. I hope she keeps putting on weight like this for a couple more weeks. Today is day 66.

Looking good in here! The NL is always a dream to grow.

Time for another update here folks;

between Friday and Saturday I’ve watered everything in the flower tent... Unhappy with the ppm of the mega crop at 6g/gal (~500), I decided to add until I hit~750. At around 8.5g/gal I had raised the ppm to 733. I should mention that my tap water is typically anywhere from 90-150. I know all of you MCers are going to slap me on the wrist.. but the first time I ran the Cookies n Chem, my feeds were reading in the 1300-1500 range and that was my frostiest harvest I’ve ever grown. Everything looks great without burn today, so I’m pretty sure they liked the heavier feed. Anyhow, on to the show;

Pomelo auto
This girl has ballooned out to some really nice and girthy buds. She’s also nice and frosty and smells exquisite of orange peel and rotting meat. Today is day 70. She’s got 3 weeks maximum until she meets her maker. Her trichomes still show quite a lot of clear, so even though she looks great I know she’s not that close to being done. I’m expecting like 20 grams or so off this girl. If it’s more I’ll be elated.

Flower tent
Today is flip + 20, the end of week 3 of flower. The Cookies n Chem looks freakin great. She’s starting trichome production and it looks to be a dense one. The two big girls have got a nice fruity gassy thing going on. It’s like sweet gas. I guess that’s why i named her Gasfruit... I took a cut of her almost a month ago. It hasn’t rooted yet which makes me concerned. The Pure Gas cutting has rooted and is almost ready to go into a cup. Depending on how they finish I’ll either try and reveg a Gasfruit clone, or just keep the PG as my cut of Cookies n Chem.

My NL is frosting up and just looking boss. She’s so massive... definitely the largest plant I’ve ever grown. I measured her stem, and if she wouldn’t have been super cropped or trained, she’d be almost 5 feet tall. I’m extremely happy with her shape. She’s not going to have a gram of larf anywhere on her. between chef Butt, Kyle kushman, and my notes from my last grow (specifically that my light penetrates to 24 inches maximum) I think I’ve shaped this girl nearly as perfectly as a can.

The star pupil is well under way with bud production. She’s frosting up well too. She’s got a very distinct way of growing though, the buds stay kind of encased in leaf.. especially compared to the NL where the buds are just kind of out in the air.

That’s pretty much it for today. I wish I could do updates more regularly, I’m just too exhausted during the week to do an update after work. I’ll leave you all with these family shots.

thanks for checkin it out

Oh yeah one more thing. I was reading some Ed Rosenthal about co2 and how raising ppm to just baseline numbers can make a huge difference. Also my tent isn’t vented to the outside. Considering how big my NL is, I’m sure they’d all love more co2 even though they’re probably not co2 limited plants.. so I ordered this. It’s supposed to be good for a 4x4 for 9 months with peak production happening in months 2-7. It’ll come tomorrow, hopefully it helps the girls grow faster.

Great looking plants,Chef-NL & SP are real beauties...
That Pomelo reminds me of that LowRyder#2 auto I grew awhile back-not very big,but plenty of buds!

Thanks carcass! I really am loving them both. I think my SP didn’t lo like how windy the tent was. I had her under the fan before, I think that’s why her leaves look like they do.

Can’t wait for my Pomelo to come down! I bet she smokes nice. I wonder what her effects will be.

My sons told me that the LowRyder was the best stuff I'd grown -the potency of autos has come a long way in the last ten years or so-I think that Pomelo will be some top shelf smoke!

Well I for one certainly won't slap you on the wrist for using 8.5 grams of MC for your plants. And I know for certain the folks at Greenleaf Nutrients are tickled pink that you're using 2.5 grams more per gallon then they recommend. You'll be a frequent customer!

I never had a plant require more then 6.5 grams using MC version 1 although I did have a few plants need some Cal-Mag with the MC. Just watch yours close. I'd hate to see you mess up your beautiful girls.

You know, I’d really hate to ruin things at this point... I’m kind of on the fence. Part of me just wants to run the recommended, but that’s what I did last grow with the dynagro and I didn’t see swelling or frostiness like I did the time before when I tried to push the nutrients... I was using blue planet and not dyna-gro.. but at peak I was using 4x the recommended feed. That crop had my biggest harvest off of one plant at 4oz.. also it was much more potent.

Well I'm definitely not an expert. I believe however the plants can only uptake a certain amount of nutrients and the rest just builds up in the soil. How often to you water/feed your plants? I ask because...………..

One of my Peyote Wi-Fi plants is growing in ProMix BX and is being fed MC nutrients. I water/feed every other day and the plant receives a full 1 gallon jug with 1tsp (give or take a tad) mixed into 1 gallon of water and PH'd to 6.5ish. So if you feed one watering and just give them water the next watering then in theory you could give them 2 tsp that watering. I'll have to measure one day to see how many grams 1 tsp comes in at.

i think I’m going to move ahead with feeding them by ppm. If I start to see issues I’ll back off and just give them plain water for a wet/dry cycle. I’m giving the nl and the sp 2 gallons per watering. Usually every 2-3 days. The CnC is the same schedule but only 1 gallon. I get a bit of run off always

I've been feeding my about 1/3 of the gallon from the bottom, and pouring the other 2/3 in from the top. They suck it right up usually that same day but always by the next morning.

I mean I pour 1/3 gallon of MC water into the catch pan at under the fabric pot and let the plant soak it up.
