CBD Joy: A Community Garden Experience

Playing with a bit of training. I'd like to see if I can get the branches to curve around the pot to contain her within that footprint.

Sue: I've read you can shape cannabis any way you want, as long as you do it before the branches get brittle. I learned that the hard way. I've split many a stem waiting too long to tie down branches.

It's Day 18 for our CB Dutch Treats, i.e. CBDutch 1 and CBDutch 2. CBDutch 1has some yellow spots on some of the leaves. I'll be posting the close-up to see if anyone knows why?

Nute splash, maybe? It's too irregular to be critters or a deficiency this early in their growth.

I do have ti say, Barney's Farm is one hell of a good breeder, although I don't really like the packages that much.

I do have a question, it's getting hot here in the Netherlands like today it was 30°C and today 32. So do I need to wqter my plants more often? I've water them once every 2 days with 0,5 litres per plant. Is that enough for these hot days?

Thank you, AK.

It's definitely not nute splash. Today was the first day it got nutes.

But a few drops will do that...unless it was there yesterday

I wouldn't worry yet.,give it a day or two

The best idea is watch the plants. Some thrive under drought conditions, others, not so much. Watch for signs of wilting before you water. The worst thing is to overwater. Cannabis can survive a little dry much better than a lot of wet.

I gotta go with AK on this. Classic sign of nute splash. All it takes is a drop. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. They're hearty plants. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Why thank you, kind sir. :battingeyelashes:

Been there, done that. :laughtwo: This ones being very cooperative. Those center branches are too flimsy and short yet to do anything with.

She still has about a month from now before flip, and my goal is to fill the real estate with potential colas. I've never tried bending them around the pot before. This'll be fun. :slide:

I do like my plants to go their own way and not to anything about them apart from just topping and some LST but I'm not a big fan of training them to grow in the way I want.

I'm a fan of getting more yield. Training makes that possible. Plus, it's great fun to play God now and again. :laughtwo:

Hey Sue Im sorry if youve mentioned this before, but will the CC really finish in 55-60 days? Ive read most strains need an extra week or 2 from advertised. I figure its the difference between flip day and actual flowers showing.

Thai one surprises me every time J. They've all come down at 53-54 days from flip. It's the most consistent strain I've grown to date.

It's really nice to know it'll be down within 100 days, because I've been getting about 100 days of capsules for four of us out of one plant.

It's been about three days since her first CAT drench. :cheesygrinsmiley:

400 grams of bud in 300 ml of oil, Sue? Like almost a pound of bud, in a little over a cup of oil? I'm surprised you can even make that work and have any liquid oil in that mix. Thanks for the tip on skimming out the oil in a hot water bath- that's what slows me down from adding more and more bud because my jojoba oil costs about $20 per cup and is hard to get here. So I think I will make some QWISO and add that to the oil for pure THC content that doesn't take up a lot of room.

What do you mean by 'running my finished oil with fresh plant material'? Like what would be that process? I have a critical cheese that is overdue for harvest which I'd be happy to use. :thanks:

And, does more thc necessarily equal less pain?

Hi Weaselcracker!

I'm really interested in your use of Jojoba oil. I know it's really expensive here too (MA). Have you used it before? Does it have a higher or lower boiling point than Coconut or Olive oil? Do you find a difference in absorption of Cannabis oils vs the usual use of Olive or Coconut? What was your thoughts in using Jojoba instead of the others? Inquiring minds would like to know!

What is QWISO?

Thanks in advance! Just trying to learn!
