CBD Joy: A Community Garden Experience

I have liquid sunflower lecithin coming in the mail. How much do you suggest for 8 oz of oil infused with 1g / fluid oz ?

My standard is one tablespoon of the lecithin for every cup of oil.

Day 10V

Please excuse the damage to the leaf on the bottom left. I crunched the leaf in my hand while lifting the container for pics. Ugh. But I'm thrilled with the amount of growth in the last two days! :)

How sweet to learn you have a service dog. :hugs: Prepare yourself for the change coming in your life. Your canine companion won't have to work so hard. :laughtwo:

Thank you! :circle-of-love: He is the best and such a sweetheart. But I don't know that he'll ever think he doesn't have to work. He's usually trying to find more to do when I tell him to stop! He's stubborn sometimes; I guess we can be stubborn together.

CBD Critical Cure 2.1 is almost ready for harvest. She's the third of this strain that I've brought to harvest, and the first to live her entire life under the Timber Grow Lights COBs, and the first plant to flower out under the COBs. She's definately my finest specimen to date, and she's showing characteristics under these lights I haven't seen before.

She started developing thes little bud balls shooting out from the colas.

In my studies I learned that CBD strains don't develop as many trichomes as high THC strains and that a good percentage of the trichomes wouldn't have caps, but would be just stalks filled with oil. I'm not seeing that in mine at all. The trichomes are well-developed and she's sticky as hell.

Day 11V and the littles looked like they needed more leg room. So they have spacious new 3 gallon pots. :)

Blue Dream CBD has some nice leaves that were hanging over the starter pot.

Check out those roots! It was definitely time for more room.

Awesome

Thank you gonemad. Look at her today, a mere three days later. Definately ready for harvest. I'm thinking tomorrow or Friday, at the latest.

Wow, I didn't realize it's been this long since I been in here. I had a few pages to quickly read thru, and I'll admit that I learned a fair amount in those few pages! Thank you to all that have contributed any information on making topicals, capsules and edibles, you all are wonderful! Sue's mission to help us all get on to making and taking our meds this way is already a success I can see! A big thank you to Sue everyone! :thanks:

I figure I should probably throw in some updated photo's of my CBD girls, they are coming along nicely in both rooms, lets have a look :)

CB Dream - Day 36

She's a little droopy in this picture, I couldn't really tell since she usually sits at the back of the crowd. She looked nice and perky this morning though when I peeked in after getting a good feeding last night. The stretch has stopped thankfully and buds are now forming up. This is one plant that wont get very many trichomes, it will look this way likely until harvested then they almost disappear once the buds shrink lol

CB Dutch Treat #1 - Day 36

My stalks didn't get very thick on this gal or her sister, branches are already bending over from the buds forming and adding some weight. Had to add in some bamboo sticks for support, I will need to get more since I also used some once again on the lanky CB Dream. Otherwise the buds are starting to chub up a little and should be well on the way.

SAM_4885.JPG

CB Dutch Treat #2 - Day - 36

This one will also likely need some sticks to be supported, just hasn't needed it yet. This plant wasn't trained the same either so it may hold up better. This one also seems to have a little bit better trichome production than it's sister. I got a few of the branches trained back a little more than they were before to prevent crowding.

SAM_4887.JPG

CBD Jam - Day 36 Veg

Got the tops bent over on this gal now and will continue to train them horizontally until the lower branches can catch up some. Just playing the waiting game now for her to grow out some more, no defol or anything, just keep training where needed. Will soon be time to up pot as well.

SAM_4898.JPG

Purple-Orange CBD - Day 36 Veg

Tops bent over as well on this one, same training as the CBD Jam pretty much. Also will be up potted at the same time as the others, all my vegging plants will need to be done once more during veg and then again on the switch to flower. Just letting this one go for a while now as well, coming along nicely I think!

SAM_4902.JPG

That's what's going on around here lately, not much really lol I've been pretty busy and trying to get around to all the journals, including my own haha. Stay green everyone! Here's a picture of the whole veg room as well :)

With some expert advice, Im about ready to call FD1 an auto. It's been under light 24/0 and is flowering.

That being said it wouldnt suprise me if someone popped a seed that turned out to be photo. The genetics are all over the place with this strain, and to be perfectly honest given that they were pretty much advertised as such and were free I cant complain.

I'll finish out what I have growing but probably wont plant anymore unless it's outdoors in public as the seeds were intended to be used as a part of overgrow Canada. I'll order up some new CBD friendly seeds asap. Critical cure and Painkiller XL are high on my list.

You know I recommend Barney's Farm CBD Critical Cure. Here's a blurb from the Herb Co's article last December postulating that this may be the perfect CBD strain that made me smile.

"CBD Critical Cure is a high-CBD strain that recreational and medical consumers can both enjoy. While slightly sedative, this strain provides little to no psychoactive effect. Rather, consumers are overtaken by a rapid, positive mood uplift and a calm and relaxed physiology. This is the perfect strain for just about anyone looking for a cannabis experience that is not overpowering.

Obviously they never had the inspiration to turn their specimen into fresh harvest oil. :laughtwo: It amazes me that the same strain smoked isn't as potent a euphoric machine as when processed into this fabulous oil. Something significant and unexpected happened with the conversion that made it more synergistic. Intriguing.

"The CBD Critical Cure experience

The CBD Critical Cure experience is very different from what you'd expect from traditional, high-THC cannabis. However, some classic effects shine through. Though CBD outnumbers THC nearly 2 to one in this strain, the indica heritage in this strain can be felt around the eyes and in the body.

You are unlikely to find yourself with heavy lids after this strain, but it can inspire a very slight sedation with a gentle and pleasant pressure around the eyes and sinus region. Otherwise, very alert and focused effects shine through.

Like many high-CBD strains, the effects of Critical Cure can be powerfully uplifting. The anti-depressant effects of CBD are rapid, which is why this strain can turn your mood around in a matter of minutes.

It provides a calm, happy, and satisfying sense of wellbeing without distorting reality or becoming uncomfortable."

Again, turning it into fresh harvest oil changes this experience, at least for me, in a dramatic way. I get none of the heaviness they speak of speak of and it's definitely creating a distortion of reality. :laughtwo:

"Why do people use CBD Critical Cure?

This light and mellow strain has a variety of uses. For recreational consumers, this strain is excellent for daytime use or whenever you just need to take the edge off a little.

This strain is technically an indica, but the incredibly low THC levels mean that you won't experience the heavy sedation that typically accompanies indica strains.

So, grab this before work or before a nerve-wracking public speaking event.

Medical consumers pick up this strain for a wide variety of reasons. However, this strain is perhaps most commonly used for those seeking relief from mental health conditions.

Depression and anxiety seem to melt away after just a few tastes of this easygoing herb. Many with post-traumatic stress disorder and other stress-related conditions tend to respond well to the relaxing and anxiolytic nature of CBD.

Patients with many physical ailments appreciate this strain as well. The mixture of both THC and CBD in this strain makes it an excellent choice for pain management and relief from inflammatory conditions like arthritis and gastrointestinal disorders.

The slight sedation this strain provides may also be helpful for insomniacs."

All of this has proven to be true with my patients and myself. As a fresh harvest oil all three of my patients find it an excellent med to take before bed. I run faster than any of them and I find that I reach a point when my body says "stop" and I have to go to bed. This has been happening earlier than I normally turn in by a couple hours. I still have my occasional all-nighters, like last night when I didn't force myself away from the iPad until after 4 AM, but for the most part I've been falling asleep closer to midnight than 4 and sleeping soundly. Both of my newest patients have commented on how much they appreciate the sleep enhancement.

I highly recommend this strain. I agree that it may be a perfect high CBD strain. All-round satisfaction.

So the Freedom's Dream strain was designed to cover Canada with a genetically improved hemp variety? What a brilliant thought that will result in making it impossible to remove, if the dream comes to fruition. A bold stroke of civil disobedience in its own way, eh?

Looking good! :thumb: You have a great selection of CBD strains in your grow room, and I look forward to hearing your report on them. Candida and Blue Dream CBD are my only ones right now. But I'm certainly going to want to try many more!

What a cool idea. I wish I could see that happen everywhere else. How wonderful would it be to see these beautiful plants growing freely?

Sue the critical cure has been my top choice based on your journals. Thanks for all you do on here
She.... Sue...is Killin me smalls......
Lol
Now I gotta get another strain to grow.

Side note...is funny how sativa vs indica effect people or women vs men
My GF ,we just found out, likes sativa a lot more than indica. Indica get her loopy waisted and sleepy and she forgets alot...lol
Now sativa high she enjoys and gets more motivated
For me indica is my go to. Love the high and energy. Now sativa I do like the energy it gives me but I also get a lot of anxiety from it

Hmmmm maybe it's a girl guy thing

Adding CBD Critical Cure to my list. Better start a garden fund; this hobby is going to get expensive. :laughtwo:

And Yes... CBD Critical Cure was on it. I also got Original Skunk #1 Reg seeds to maybe do my own breeding. I figured since Ive started Scorpio420's Pharmaceuticals and Scorpio420 Nursery, both a subsidiary of Scorpio420 LLC , I may as well start doing some Frankenstein testing as well :thumb:

Wow.... Lots to decide in the next 4+ weeks. So many strains... so Little Room
