Cause She's A Brix House - Noob's OG Kush & Carnival In DBHBB

Thanks Duggan! I picked them up and they are almost ready. I will give them some H2O tomorrow morning and I will spray destress after they take a nap. Then I will Brix spray them tomorrow. I am thinking I will have room in the tent in 20-25 days from today. Then I will move the two OG Kush girls in flower shortly after. Then, when the NL finishes, I will move the Carnivals in to the flower tent.

So far, it feels like I am just watching them. It's that simple. Crazy.

Sue, the way he described it to me was that I only need the destress when the are stressed out. I'm stressing them by torturing the crap out of them from topping and SCing. I plan to stop training them in flower so I shouldn't need the destress because the soil, drenching, and Brix spray will take care of it. Is that right Duggan?
Yes Noob that is correct! If they are healthy , you simply don't need the De Stress. Some of us have found that the DeStress to be too much for some plants when not really needed...just sayin. Continue giving it thru your training days and any event that may cause some undue stress but it's wicked stuff as Gray says if you push it too hard you can fry the roots just as giving too much , too often of Brix. Your plan is sound Noob....just make sure to wait till those pots are good and dry....then give GE + Tea, according to Doc's amounts and watch those go crazy in a few days. Also , after they get this next drink of GE and Tea you must give only water for two drinks (1/4 Transplant at most if you wish) . That soil is very happy right now, and is loaded with goodness....lets keep the biota happy, happy! Things are rolling along nicely Noob....but I gotta tell ya bud....they are about to get really big, really fast ...hope your ready for it....watch them go, after the GE and Tea!!!:surf:

Yeah, the thing is, DeStress is formulated to work with Roots and Transplant. The DeStress foliar signals the plant to produce root exudates, and those feed bacteria that use the micro-minerals in Roots and the nutrients in Transplant.

It certainly isn't necessary if the plants look great, but it remains part of the nutrient routine - don't think in terms of stopping it, just maybe don't bother with it if they look great. :cheesygrinsmiley:

In 2nd and 3rd run soil with lots of recycled humus, the soil can get hot enough that DeStress is pushing it too hard, though.

I've always kept spraying DeStress all though bloom, every 7-10 days.

:Namaste:

Thanks for the input Graytail. It's hard to tell if they need it because they look so good. I'm sure I will need to spray them again in flower because of something. Maybe they are doing so well because this s first run soil. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing. I'm glad I have Duggan and people such as yourself and Sue to help me.

Cheers

I think I will need to clone my clones because they are taking up so much room. I'm seeing a lot of purple in the stems. Does that mean anything? They look healthy and happy otherwise. I will take some pics this evening when the lights come on. Thanks for helping out Duggs. It means a lot. Have a good day buddy

Cheers.

I experienced the same thing in veg on my first run (current). They looked so green and lush it about brought a tear to my eye. No matter how much training, topping, or transplanting, she just never missed a beat.

Until...

I put her in flower. In three weeks, my soil went flat. Doc advised skipping the second Cat drench and giving her a super drench. I have no idea what I did wrong. When I put the clone of her in flower next month, I'm gonna feed her HEAVY. For my container size, I gave the current 20ML drench + 2ML tea. I'm gonna double it for the clone and see what happens. I am only talking about the first 3-4 weeks of flower.

Doc says it happens... calls it the mid-bloom fade. Looks like Duggan is keeping a close eye on ya... Just keep an eye out for yellowing leaves 2nd week of flower.

Thanks mason....and ya , i aint goin nowhere! Noob's doing great so far , and so are his babies. He will follow original instructions to the letter with the addition of giving 1/4 Transplant on the "off" feed drinks. Noob really doesn't need me ...only to run things by me and ask the odd Q is all...he's doing just fine. He will be patient and his girls will reward him with big sticky buds, that taste and smoke like no other . Cheers Mason .....and Noob!:circle-of-love::Namaste:

That's what I'm talking about Mason! I appreciate the feedback. I hope the same thing doesn't happen to these girls but if it does I will know what is happening. I'm glad doc knew what was wrong and got you fixed up. He knows this stuff like the back of his hand.

Thanks for checking it out masonman

UPDATE

I gave the Carnivals and OGK their first Growth Energy drench with tea today. The soil was getting really dry so it was time for another big drink.

The last few pictures were of some of the stems that are purple. Should I be concerned about them?

Hope everyone has a great Friday

Nothing to be concerned with. Some species have purple petioles. When you have high brix the petioles of a plant that expresses purple like this will begin to be green on the top sides of them as you reach the top of the plant.

You did not mess up....don't be foolish! they look fantastic! look at them....wait till tomorrow youl'e see the effect of being patient and just letting the soil work! How's the RO machine ....OK . Don't you dare give them any TW Noob! Pretty easy eh....now they basically need you to stare at them ..When they need a drink (dry and light pots)give them water with 1/4 Trans...that's it, nothing else. ..., no messin around with NPK , PH'ing , EC counts...all that BS ....gone ...over....this method is the shit. Noob take stroll over to my journal....today was chop bud....cheers my friend! :high-five:
Little tip Noob,....to keep the runners from getting away from the rest...just lightly SC them at the canopy level....just to slow that particular leader down just a bit...try and get the canopy level....as level and even as you can....take the time ...it pays off later on with ease of care and a better o/A yield.Have an awesome day and weekend. :high-five:

Did some SC last night and sprayed with destress. I thought I might have sprayed too much. I made half a batch and barely used half of that. That stuff is hell on my panda film. Looks like I'm trying to put brown watercolor on plastic sheeting. How are you guys avoiding getting it everywhere? I sprayed under the leaves and on top. When I was done, I was worried I put way too much on. When I went to check on them later, this is what I found...

 LOL, that DeStress is dark, ain' it?

Fish guts, indeed! :cheesygrinsmiley:

But the plants sure seem to like it. :slide:

Graytail, the plants don't like it, they love it. Couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the door.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Doc Bud's HighBrix Blend growing. :blunt: You'll quickly get spoiled by these plants. I suspect that by the time you get though your harvest you'll be completely sold on this process. Done right it's easy as pie. You're doing a great job on this batch. :high-five:

Noob,
You weren't kidding...your ladies are exploding with green lustrous growth!
Ill keep watching.:reading420magazine:

Thank you Sue! I think I'm finally starting to understand this type of growing. I think I would have figured it out sooner if I had tried organic gardening first.

Thanks Stage. Welcome. Once these girls dug into the cooked soil, they took off.

Thank for checking it out you two!

I've noticed that too. As soon as they hook up into the new soil after a transplant they explode.

Yes, the DeStress is a messy beast. The only thing I can think that may help you is to turn off your circulation fans when you spray. Smoke a little less before you spray....

I got Destress all over my walls also. Will just have to clean best as possible after harvest.

Your girls are looking beautiful :bravo:

I was lucky, in that my bathroom was steps away from the tent and I hauled them into the shower for foliars, then scrubbed the shower. Voila! DeStressed plants and a clean shower. :battingeyelashes:

I thought it should last for at least 24 hrs in the fridge.:scratchinghead:
