Cause She's A Brix House - Noob's OG Kush & Carnival In DBHBB

Thanks ween. It's not as easy as I imagined it to be. I am running out of places to put some of the leaders. I'm almost to the point of just watching and hoping they don't take over the tent.
Cheers bud

Hey bud....so far ,...so good eh. Looks like your winning the battle with the stretch . Don't get discouraged with some uneven leaders, don't quit and do not give up trying to keep the canopy even. You must continue making sure the canopy stays as even as possible. Remember it will only take a few runnaways to ruin your day! It looks really good and I share your concern with all those under , that don't look like they'le make it....don't chop anything just yet below OK....give them another week or so to show you if they can catch up...you still have some time to trim and clean up the bottom, but not quite yet...just wait a bit longer OK...try and get some more up top , above the screen. Pretty soon the stretch will stop and they will start to grow UP very slowly but start to fill out at the same time.
You have done very , very well up to this point....don't you quit on them now....keep that canopy even....don't let ANY get away from the rest. Cheers bud....keep up the awesome job my friend!:high-five::bravo::Namaste::thumb:

I had to pull whole sections down below the screen and start all over again. It's frustrating when you see an empty spot on the other side of where you need it to be.

I'm thinking my current grow is gonna produce more than my scrog did. If so, I'll never go back to the screen if I can help it.

I don't have a lot of headroom, so whatever style I develop, will involve ropes and a safe word.

Hey mason...how's it all goin bud.....ya with the scrog stuff, know what ya mean about never goin back too. The only thing i don't like about doing a scrog is ...once it's in place...your so limited as to what you can do as far as moving them around and caring for them...that being said , if it's done properly , you can maximize the yield of any plant , period. Noob is well on his way to a real beauty of a crop. I can't wait to see how it will look in about 30-40 days from now. sure wish he could get that bloody filter ass'y moved somewhere though. :tokin: :Namaste:

It's amazing that these plants can teach us things even when we think we know better. This is such a great hobby. Plus I'm growing my freaking own medicine.

Since you are trying to keep your plants short, why do you use the 20 gallon pots? I would think a 7 would get you the same yield right? Plus you wouldn't use as much soil or drenches. Just curious.

Thanks for stopping by bro

Doc originally suggested a 10 gallon if I was going to do a scrog. That was 2 years ago and a different user name... spasmodic
I didn't have the money to pull the trigger, so I lurked, never posted anything, just kept reading all the brix journals when I came home from work. Then Curso started bragging about using 20 gallon pots. So, me being the type of person I am, bigger must be better.

Doc says that once I learn how to use the big pot, it'll work better for me. I did want to switch to a 10 after the problems I had with the last grow, but he gently talked me out of it.

Thanks man. I'm trying my best. I honestly thought that the scrog would do the heavy lifting. I was wrong. It has been a daily battle trying to move the leaders to open holes without breaking them or if I move them, they will be taller. But I don't mind it. I meant that soon, I won't be able to move them anymore because I won't have room. The space is filling up fast.

I do have a question for you. I'm supposed to do another CAT drench the next time I water, correct? That will be tomorrow or Friday. I just wanted to make sure that I was supposed to give it that soon or if I was supposed to do it next week and just water in a couple of days.

Thanks duggs

You might be able to use that soil more than 3 times with all the roots you will end up having. I can't wait to see what happens this grow for you. Should be pretty epic.

CATs are back-to-back, followed by water only. Then you begin alternating Energy and TransWater to the end. Try to end on an Energy drench. Duggan may have other directions, but this is how I approach it from here.

SCROGs are fun, eh? One of these days I 'll have to drag mine out and give it a try.

Sweetsue...you nailed it...exactly how to use the "Kit". Noob, stick to the listed amount for the CD ...don't over due it. You notice Sue said Transwater and not Transplant. Remember the CD is mostly all Transplant , with a few goodies added, so lay off the alternating G.E/ Transplant Drenches and start alternating , but with G.E. and TransWATER at 1/4 strength . just follow that program right to the finish.
I would suggest buying some mason jars....:)

Have an awesome night Noob and friends.....i let my neighbor take out the DeLorean,...now weird things are happening to my other neighbor...the bad one....muhaha!:high-five:

You know, in my last grow, I started the grow with a scrog. It seemed to flatten out and even things out. I took the scrogs off though because I couldn't move the plants and it was getting hard to water. I don't have a problem watering these plants. But what I noticed was that those plants stayed the way they were when I took off the scrog. I sometimes wonder if the same thing would happen if I took off the strings after stretch so I could attend to my plants better. But, then a little voice screams in my ear " You don't quit something you've started, finish." So, I have to see this one through because I committed time and money into this idea and I can't quite now because it's getting hard. Fuck it. Bring it on. What's the worse that could happen? I only get 12 ounces? Or, I could end up with over a pound.

Ya, about the screen...here's the thing bud...ya you can take it off without much movement in them...but NOT YET. You can still do that but just wait until everything is "set" and not growing vertically, then you can cut the screen out...and yes that would be totally fine. Doing it now though would be a disaster Noob...think of it....if you had more space up top it wouldn't matter. Your trying to maximize this space...and doing it this way is the best, period. Forcing them to STAY DOWN under the screen until you allow them up, thereby getting a very even canopy FULL of sticky buds at the end! it's all good pal...you've got it all under control! Cheers and have an awesome night Noob and gang!:circle-of-love:

Hey Noob...

Went in to take an upskirt shot and look what's already all over the walls I just cleaned...

I wonder if any made it on the plant!

I think might have to replace my panda film in my veg closet. That stuff is awesome for the plants but brutal for my walls. Lol. It's not really that bad but destress is so darn dark.

Cheers buddy

Hey mason, a very good morning to ya....with the bigger pots and getting to know how to use them properly. The main thing with them is this....regardless of their size ...when you water , you have to let the soil dry out before watering again, just like the smaller pots. This forces the roots to look for water...just like in small ones. Nothing changes ...just have to make sure the same watering protocol is followed is all! cheers bud! have an awesome day!

Hood evening Noobz!
A lovely scorching day here in the lower right. :)
