Hey Noob, glad ya had fun makin the BH. It really is one of my favs,...just so clean and potent. Like Gray said there, a pc. the size of a grain of rice...that's all i need too Gray....but have to admit, i like the effect of throwing three or four of those in at once.....i know ...i know.....:tokin: Like to use a lil double bubbler for puffin mine. Works good , cools the smoke somewhat. Don't worry about wasting anything this time Noob,...you did very well, i'm sure. I must admit, the only time i run more than once , is when i'm using popcorn buds ,or full out buddage...only then will i run it twice , or more. It usually takes me better part of a day to get it done cuz i'm not getting everything out and set up for only one run, that's what i like about it too, i can save up lots of runs from my DBHBB grows and spend the day making enough to last a while. It's nice too cuz , there's no plant matter in it so , i've always just puffed it downstairs and there's no smell after....it just burns complete and pure!

I have a cheap one. You get what you pay for. It was hard to get the puck out after two runs. I think it came free with a grinder. I should just get one like that one you have.

I tried a little bit this morning in my hash pipe. It's called Essential Vaaaap. It's got a glass vile that you put the hash in and you heat up the glass. It hits pretty solid. I like the carb. It's really easy to clean too.
Anyways, I was scared to take too many hits because I hit the bong an hour before. I tried a bit of the 120 and it was pretty smooth. I got pretty baked. I didn't want to do much for a couple of hours.
 
Ok let's try this again...

I went to the store and got the materials.

Then I added some ice and water to the bucket. I let it get extra cold. Then I added the dried trim and popcorn that I put in the freezer the night before.

I stirred the material into the ice water and let it soak for 20 minutes. Then, I stirred the mixture for 10 minutes, switching directions and methods of stirring.

Then you pour the whole thing into the bucket that has the 160 and 220 bags. You pull the 220 bag and let it drain into the 160. This takes some time.

Then you're left with what looks like usable material but I just chucked it.

What's left in the bucket is the good stuff

Then I pour that into the 120 and 73 bags. Scrape out the material in each bag. Pour remainder into the other bucket that has the 25 screen. I placed all the hash on the drying screen before putting on the cardboard

I stopped taking pictures because I was so enamored with the hash. Sorry :rofl:

Lookin good Noob,...are ya happy with the yield ....it simply is gorgeous....i love it. Is the 73 your fav. . you did it quite different than me though. I line the 5 gal pail with the bags starting with the 25 ,73 , 120 , 190 , 220 . I mix (used to) just like you but just pull the bags out one at a time. How come ya did it that way bud? You can just mix with all 5the bags "in place" then pull them out after mixing, no need to wait . Looks cool under the scope eh....eh.....eh! :thumb::Namaste::high-five:

I probably should have just put all the bags in one but I like doing things the hard way sometimes.
As far as the yield goes, I'm worried I might have just flushed a good deal of hash down the drain by not running it twice. I am pretty excited about the amount I have though. I've never had that much hash at once. I have 8 nice sized pucks with 4 being 73 grade.
I've only tried the 120 so far. I get a mellow high with it. I'm anxious to try the 73 soon though.

How do you store your hash? Right now I have them in 3 different jars with socks for lids to keep them from molding and to keep stuff out of my hash. Don't worry the socks are clean. :rofl:
 
I sprayed my plants this morning with Brix. I have tucked the tall leaders under the canopy while the others catch up. This is going to be a hell of a ride. The OGK flowers are getting bigger by the day.

I still haven't figured what to do with my filter and fan. I really don't want to move it to the floor. I can probably move it 3 or 4 inches higher but it will take some maneuvering and I'm scared it will hit the scrog and take the plants down with it. The assembly is heavy.

Once it is dry I love the little silicone screw together cylinders. They are super cheap on the 'zon.

Got a question. When I harvested last, anything with sugar on it I left on the bud to dry and cure. All the fan leaves, I doubled bagged and stored in the freezer. Do you think there is anything I can do with the fan leaves? There may be a little bit of trichromes in there, but not much.

Thanks mason. As far as I know the fans wouldn't have a lot of trichomes on them. You can do what Cannatard suggest and eat them. I do. But you could always run it through the bags to find out.

Try making some kief with dry ice..youll be surprised what you get..then put it in your press..smoke it up..

You can run the fans and trim like that thru the bags OK, but ya gotta chop the leaves up or else they fold over on themselves trapping the trichs in place. When ya pull them out of the freezer, chop them up like a salad...then run them thru the bags. The BH from them will be less and not quite as good . Cheers gang!
