CatfishKnight's Grow Room: 420's MarsPro Cree128

Lol. Good to know oldergrower. I have a meter being delivered tomorrow. So I just need to find the electric bill to see what they charge.

Hi Canad420. I already have some seeds sent to me. I am just waiting to finish the room this weekend and then put a Pepper Plant in there I have from the green house to see if it survives my grow room setup. Lol
Such a nice grow space. I'm following.

What kind of effects are you searching for in your herb? We can narrow down the strain choices.

Wish my kw price was so low mine would work out at about 22 cents per kw wen converted to us dollar

I just called my Electric Company, my cost is $.099 per kilowatt.

Thanks oldergrower I hope so. Seems like a few of the people on the forum is using 4x4 or 8x8 room/tents. And they look so crowded. Lol. Trying to grow a lot. I just wanted 8x10 Grow Room of mine to look nice and to be able to sit in it. :)
Coming together very nicely Catfish, very nicely indeed:thumb:

Hey Catfish, What can you tell me about the heat from these Cree128s? I will be going for the 256 as well as the 128 but wondering if I should prepare better for heat.

Hi Canad420 , my laser temp gun said they were at 98 degrees each. Since I have a sealed room with no outside air coming in, it raised the temperature about 4 to 5 degrees for each one in the room. For a total increase about 12 to 15 degrees higher in room. Temperature in room would go from 77 to around 95 & 100 degrees. I am running them at 90% brightness only, now my temperature stays around 81 to 88 degrees with no outside air coming in.

Holy crap this is more than I expected. But with their abilities to increase brightness and simulate natural daylight etc..should be ways to keep that in check? Like when you run them at 100% only around "noon" for two hours and then gradually go down again.

By the way does the adjusting of their output, say if you run them only at 70% or so also mean less power draw? I'd think so?

Edit: Sealed room...yes makes sense when the warmth cannot go anywhere.

Yep example would be if fixture pulls a 100 watts at the wall at 70% it is pulling 70 watts at the wall. Used a 100 to keep the math simple and easier to understand. I have that ability on my lights as well, nice to know that if I lower the % of either the blue or white spectrums I am saving a little change on the ole electric bill.

I am planning on building one similar to yours so I can sit inside and enjoy life but that will not be until after we find a little place out in the country. Still shopping for the retirement home of our dreams, big kitchen for the wifey and a killer grow room for me.

Hi Flexy, with all (3) Cree128 at 100% they are drawing around 1200 Watts according to my watt meter.
When I turned them down to 90% the total watts is running around 1000 watts. :)

Lol. I hear you... My kids are out of the house now.
Helped wife build her Green House in the back yard last year.
So this year it was my turn.
But after putting in the Mother Closet looks like I will only have about 6 pots in a u shape table arrangement.
Also will be putting cheap long 4 or 5 feet mirrors at an angle against wall to reflect the light to the underside and sides of plants.
That's plenty for me I guess. I can be growing the clones at the same time in the Mother Closet too.

Oh Canad20 just remember one remote will control them all.
