Carnival: A Community Grow Experience

Harvest Report: Carnival #2 (Day 143)

After 63 days in flower she started to go amber, my sign to pull them. I have no interest in amber trichomes. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I pulled the branches this morning and trimmed off the excess weight before weighing them for an estimate on dry weight.

IMG_247626.JPG

I figure 20%, so I'm only looking at around 60 grams. Not to be sneered at. That's 7 weeks of brownies and a quarter ounce to smoke.

I have ten Carnival clones, eight of which are now in flower, coming up behind. I'll be harvesting Carnival for the next three to four months. :yahoo:

I had a very small taste, a piece I'd trimmed and dried. I should have made it larger. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The final tally: Carnival #2

She exceeded my expectations. Hahaha! That reminded me of a message I once heard articulating that the secret to a happy life is lower expectations. Lol! It certainly worked in this case. I was hoping for at least two ounces.

She came in at 86 grams dry, just over three ounces. Super sweet and tasty. This will give me 10 pans of brownies, or enough daily meds for over two months. This I can work with. On my way to self-sufficiency. :slide:

 Happy Holidays everyone.

Community alert: a chance to lend a helping hand

jamesleemc, one of our family here, recently returned home to find that sanctuary violated by thieves. They cleaned him out, including all 14 plants, lights, equipment..... Every one of us reading that shuddered.

He's started a thread asking for any used equipment and supplies that might be able to find their way to him. I'm posting the link, but know that there are no directives other than a desire to help a member hurting in any way you feel compelled to respond. A kind word of encouragement can be every bit as valuable as a ballast when you've been slighted like this in life.

If nothing else, stop and let him know your positive intentions are bolstering him as he waits to see what wonder the universe holds in store for him next. Shall we surprise him? :battingeyelashes:

Merry Christmas !
WOW! What a beautiful girl you have I can't wait to start my Carnival. It will be very soon the second week of the new year. If I can do as good as you I will be tickled pink. Nice update on the decarboxalation I look forward to trying it for myself Peace be with you!

I just upsized her to a 7 gal pot today. 3 or 4 more weeks of veg and she will be flipped. She is the one in the front. The one in back is an Opium. She is scheduled to be flipped in another week. :circle-of-love::peace:

supergroomer, the curling leaves..... any explaination? Is this first or second-run soil?

They were just drenched (maybe 1/2 hour) before the pic. The Train Wreck on the left has been having some issues that I am dealing with, but the Carnival and the Opium are doing Great!!!! :circle-of-love::peace:

:laughtwo: I realized when I was reading this that I've come to think of all these plants in my threads like grandchildren. Hahaha! :circle-of-love:

Really happy with the resin packing on my carnival which is at +62 and leaves are still green, gonna push em as long as I can because buds are still not as full as I'd like to see them. Such a beautiful smell!

I love the smell ween. There're variations. I haven't checked the clones closely yet. I just realized I hadn't checked their smell at all. :laughtwo: The batch in the bathroom haven't started to smell yet.

Carn1:4 is almost ready to flip. I'm just waiting for the clones in the flowering tent to get done so I can get the soil and their mites out of the apartment and get the tent scrubbed out. Then she gets the space to herself for a while.

I started leveling out the canopy in anticipation.

She's looking really sweet at this point. It'd be nice to have one really take off and yeild over 4 ounces. I'd really like to get one over the four ounce mark.

She has a couple nice clone-sized branches underneath, so I'll be able to keep this one going. I'm really liking this cloning thing. I'm starting to get the hang of it. I'll do one more run of this pheno and then start with a new seed and hope for something that doesn't have curled leaves. :laughtwo:

Gooooood Morning!!! :yahoo:

I'll have wet weights in the morning, to estimate the take. :cheesygrinsmiley:

So my Carnival clone never recovered, I gave her 2 rescue drenches and pruned her way back and she still had "pale" leaves with rusty spots. She is no longer. I took 3 clones from her and hope to get at least 1 healthy plant out of it.

Good rescue ween. :high-five: Did anyone ever figure out what the chief cause might have been? It'd be nice to avoid that mistake in the future, wouldn't it?

What's your success rate with this cloning method, if I may be so bold? lembatoast has a method that I learned from him that has a 100% success rate and you only open them up every three days. Within two weeks I have the most beautiful little clones you'd ever want to see. You should try it some time. You might find you like it as well.

Get a good one ween. I'm rootin' for ya!

Rooting for me, ha, good one and thanks! :high-five:

The only thing I can figure is I was away for a couple days and forgot to leave the heat up high enough so it got down to about 60 in the tent. What is odd is that one plant, the White Widow X Big Bud came back spledidly and is on day 18 of bloom.

I fully expect all 3 clones to take but if they don't, next time I clone I will try the lembatoast method. I actually don't mind checking on them daily. Sprayed em with 1/2 strength destress.

I'll be honest ween, I was shocked at how easily they rooted in those little bubbles of atmosphere. I didn't trim any leaves or take any special steps. No foliars and only one small addition of water in each the first time I opened them. They came out lush and vigorious. I encourage you to try it once and see what you think.

I have no doubt these will make it, and then you'll have three more chances. I'm getting ready to flip Carn1:4, which gives me another run at cloning. I'm starting to get excited. :laughtwo: Gardening cannabis is so much fun. :slide:
