Carnival: A Community Grow Experience

I have to say. Considering the frosty trichs I had at harvest, I was disappointed in my first sample smoke. Didn't seem to have what I thought it should. 4 weeks of cure and she is a different animal. Everything she was advertised to be. Give it time to cure. You won't regret it!!! :circle-of-love::peace:

Glad to hear it supergroomer. I'm surprised. Mine smacked me right from the start. :laughtwo: This time I'll have enough on hand it'll actually get cured. Lol!

Absolutely beautiful Noob! :high-five: Enter one of those lovelies in the POTM. Good grief, they look like winners to me, and I'm not alone. :dreamy:

Here's mine today. She's a little pissed at me. I think I may have overwatered her. I'm letting her dry out completely this time. It's a fine line at this point in flower, but I watch her pretty closely and Duggan's riding shotgun, so I'm confident it'll go well. You get so attached to them, don't you? Lol!

She had a major trimming just a couple days ago. That's why she looks so naked today.

And her culled sister's clones:

Quite a brood. In about a week I'll chose the two I want to carry forward for future flowering space and flip everyone else. The mere thought of all that Carnival blooming at once makes my heart beat faster. :laughtwo: I'll probably run the bloom cycle on a diminished light schedule. Ziggy's making that 10.5/13.5 look mighty attractive. I may go with that and speed them along.

Isn't this the most fun?

Yeah. She doesn't look happy. I find that mine go about 3 to 4 days in between drenches. But I was in 7 gallon pots. If you are in 10s I'm betting they hold enough for 5 to 6 days which would make it easy to over or under water.
The leaves of your plant must be a different pheno than the two I grew. Mine were fatter leaves like the leaves on your sister clones. I have 3 more carnival seeds. I'm wondering if I have the more Sativa pheno in there.

The clones with the big, fat leaves are from the culled Carnival #1. She was more of what we'd call an indica form, similar to my first plant and to the ones you grew. I do have four clones from this Carnival too, so I'll get another go at it somewhere along the line.

I hope you get to try this pheno. One of those seeds is the one, I just know it. Think positive. :battingeyelashes:

Carnivals Update

Everywhere I turn in my home there are Carnivals. :laughtwo:

My flowering tent, filled with Carnivals.

Carn1:4 (Day 32) She's vegging in the auto tent, awaiting her chance to follow Carnival #2 in the flowering tent.

The rest of the Carnival clones. Most of these will be cloned and the rooted clones potted into kit soil. I know they'll perform better in that matrix. I'll be timing it all to coincide with a new batch of soil. Waiting on supplies for that step.

Yep. Not a bad life, if you can get it. :blunt:

Day 116. She had her second CAT this week.

Here's mine..as she is now. Pics are a bit off due to aged camera (has to be the cameras fault, right?) Tomorrow Im going to go all TOAST on her for clones. :)

Neat! She looks all shiny and healthy. I'm looking forward to growing a healthier one in the future. Have you used TOAST's cloning technique before mouser? I see lots of potential in there.

I have the supplies on the way....it looks easy :) Since MA and ME have become legal (will become legal) I have a few friends looking for clones. I need to keep her in veg for at least another 3 weeks...she is competing with my Panama clone for the next flower spot. It should work out well.

I have most of the clones beginning their LST.

Carn1:4 (Day 37) She's happy and healthy.

As soon as they reach about 12" or so I'll flip the lot (excepting Carn1:4, who's in the auto tent being groomed for the flowering tent) and run them out.

IMG_170126.JPG

Right now now they're all at about 6".

Won't this be fun to watch? :laughtwo: I won't have a filter in here. This is going to be an interesting olfactory experiment when they all start to flower. I may need to come up with something quick. Thankfully I have a couple ideas I can fall back on, but I'm also on the top floor, at the end of the hallway, away from everyone and everything. I don't anticipate it becoming a problem.

The flowering tent, full of Carnivals. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm letting the clones run out without any molestation. Wild and free. :battingeyelashes:  They're both at Day 43.

Ours look eerily similar ween. Has anyone offered you any decent explaination for the curling leaves? We've explored a multitude of reasons for mine, to no avail. I've stopped working about it because she continues to develop flowers at a normal rate, or normal enough for me. I'm hoping they turn out to be more potent because of the distress. That seems to be the way the universe works for me. :laughtwo:

They'll come through for you and you'll get that sweet ride she offers in the end. Sweet days ahead for you my friend. Just ask Noob. :battingeyelashes:

I've been a bad daddy and stressed both of my carnivals in ways they didn't deserve. When I tried tying down my blooming girls the carnival split 4 times while the other 2 didn't at all. It happened really easy but each split was not too bad and I taped them up. My sickly looking veg carnival has a touch of the flu since I didn't leave the heat on high enough while away for a couple days. I just raised the intake ducting about 5 feet so they're drawing warmer air.

The flowering girl is starting to fill in a little since she got her first cat 3 days ago.

Here is a pic of my Carnival that is in Veg. She was super cropped off my last girl. She is held down in every direction. She has the potential to be huge.

If you are not familiar with super cropping a clone, it is a clone taken from a flowering plant. It takes longer to root and they go through some really funky leaves as she goes from flower back to veg. But they make big plants with lots of branches.

This is how the clones start. (This is C-99 on Carnival. Sorry. ) :circle-of-love::peace:

I believe you are referring to monster cropping. Super cropping is a form of high stress training when you bend the branches breaking the inside of the stem but outside stays intact.

Regardless she looks great. We have done that a few times. The latest we took a clone was 7 weeks into flower.
