Carnival: A Community Grow Experience

Ours look eerily similar ween. Has anyone offered you any decent explaination for the curling leaves? We've explored a multitude of reasons for mine, to no avail. I've stopped working about it because she continues to develop flowers at a normal rate, or normal enough for me. I'm hoping they turn out to be more potent because of the distress. That seems to be the way the universe works for me. :laughtwo:

They'll come through for you and you'll get that sweet ride she offers in the end. Sweet days ahead for you my friend. Just ask Noob. :battingeyelashes:

"The Claw" is almost always N toxicity. Heat stress can make this worse. You can have N toxicity in plants that do not show dark leaves or burned tips, especially if they are genetically sensitive to N. (which seems to be a common factor in the case of Carnival)

This is soil using Doc Bud's kit Dan. I shouldn't be seeing a problem with N toxicity in this soil. The soil bots should be handling it for the plant. It's trying hard to frustrate me, but she's blooming nicely, so I'm just holding out for the best. I refuse to be frustrated. :laughtwo:

Heat has been a recurring problem in my tents. This is likely complicating the entire thing.

It certainly does appear to be what you propose. It suggests this soil is seriously out of wack. It's getting retired after this run and replaced with new. Which reminds me, I need to schedule that soil-making for this weekend.

My Carnival is on +38 and finally starting to fill in and frost up.

Very nice ween. :high-five: Your's may be building more trichomes than mine. I can't get the image clear enough on the phone. :laughtwo:

Day 41 now? So another..... 20 days or so? Mine comes down sometime between now and the 18th.

Close to the end now. :slide: Mmmmmm...... Fresh Carnival.

She's taken on a mild smell of rotten meat today. That'll change in a day or two.

My first attempt at LST

That's going to pay big dividends livetoskate. Nice work. :high-five: Were you nervous? I was my first time, so afraid I'd break something. Lol! Now I tie those branches down without thinking about it.

Damn Sue, those are some huge buds. Nice work!! I wish mine would swell up like that but I'm pretty sure they won't. My white widow big bud is on target to have large buds but my carnival just hasn't been filling in, she is just starting to now. She smells amazing while the widow doesn't have much of a smell. Either way I can't wait to harvest my 1st high Brix plants!

How many days post flip are yours at?

For comparison ween, these are shots of my Carnival one month ago, on Nov. 7.

Right now she's 55 days into flowering. I'm trying to get her to 65. She may make it.

She comes down in the morning. That'll make her 62 days flowering. I can't wait to taste her. :slide:

Rest assured, every bit I consume will be decarbed in advance, 230 degrees F for 110 minutes. Try it. You won't regret it.

This includes what you plan to combust. I realize this flies in the face of everything we've been told about decarbing, but trust me on this. A group of us stumbled into this information, and it's panning out, one-by-one. This long decarb will potentiate your cannabis far beyond what you expect. Best sustained high of my life. At this point I'm three days in and no tolerance build-up at all.

Have fun with this guys. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Interesting. So do you de carb in bud form that which you plan to combust? I will have my lady try it. I culled a plant that was not doing well and showed signs of hermie at about +28 and took a bunch of lower growth from the girls at +44 or so, dried it out, ground it up, passed the torch to her, it was about 120 grams, decarbed it for a couple hours but only at 170, then put it all in about 14oz of coconut oil plus some sunflower lecithin in the crock pot and let it simmer for 1/2 day so far, not sure if she will have it simmer more. She has been having good success so I just let her do all of that now. It helps increase her appetite and also smoke "less." I will suggest the 230 for 110 minutes if/when she runs out of oil.

No new pics of my carnivals. Blooming one is +49 and vegging one now has the veg tent to herself but has not been doing well, doc said to do another rescue drench which I will do in the next couple days.
