Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

The mods will likely remove that, but they do talk about hash a little,so it is
cannabis related content :) ...

Monday update time!
Hope everyone's having a great day!

Today was watering day for all 3 girls-it's been hotter than hell,so they were all pretty thirsty.
The indoor girls (autos) both get 6g of MegaCrop per gallon every watering.

They're doing pretty well, the Purple Punch stopped stretching at a little above the 2 foot mark in the box, which makes her about 19" tall.

The GDPxGB is flowering and stretching now,but slowly- it's like she can't quite decide whether she wants to get any taller or not...

Here's a peek from above: (PP on the right)

1.JPG

It's getting crowded in there, you can see the height difference-the GDPx is catching up,but
slowly...

2.jpg

And a couple of silhouette shots,Purple Punch first-I did a little early supercropping on some of the tallest branches to slow them down a little, and it seemed to work out well, her canopy is fairly level..
close enough,I figure...

And the "I'm not in any hurry" GDPxGB- She's going to need a little bending too,but it's too early for that right now- some of her is stretching, some of her isn't- I'm not really sure what she's going to do next, because she's growing way different than what I'm used to-but she's an auto,so she's allowed to have a mind of her own.....

I have some thinning out to do on both of them, which I should probably get around to pretty soon...might even do that later today...

So now lets have a look outside...Ms Cheese has been digging this heat wave we're having...

Still 48" tall-she's just getting fatter now,I'm going to have to stake up some of her branches soon.
I'm feeding her 7g of MegaCrop per gallon now,and she gets fed every 3rd day-the sand/dirt she's growing in dries out really fast, especially when it's hot- and it is hot...
I was going to feed her a little "Terpinator" since I've got a huge jug of it,but I decided against it-
she's doing fine on her diet right now,so I'll just keep feeding her what I've been feeding her.

Her main cola is getting fairly chunky now:

I offered her a soda, but she just ignored me.... :)

Her lower buds are getting bigger and heavier now...

12.jpg

Here's 3 more of them,she's got quite a few...
14.jpg

Funny thing-in the morning, she's almost odorless, but after a few hours in the 90 degree sun...woooo-weeee...that girl knows how to stink!

As close as I can figure, she's been flowering for 5 weeks,so she's got about 4 weeks to go,according to @SeedsMan (8-9 week flowering time)
So she's got quite a bit of fattening up to do before then...

That's about it for today's update....
Thank you all for looking,I really appreciate the support!
See you around the forum:peace:

you really shouldn't be messing with the K side of the MC ratio!
Yeah,I thought about that last one I fried, and decided once is enough...
and she does seem to be doing just fine on the MC alone...almost
as if they designed it that way

Dude, your girls are looking absolutely fabulous!!!

I just opened up my 2500g pack - the older blend. So I'm still adding CalMag for now. Once this is gone (gonna take a while) I won't need the CalMag any longer. At least, that's my understanding.

Thanks,Chef!
2500g will last a while...I've been using a 700g bag for about 5 months now,and it's only about half empty (or half full,if you're an optimist:))

Hey,Hutch,good to see you!
I start all mine on 4 grams per gallon right off the bat (apx 1.5 weeks old) and
they've never suffered any ill effects-since you're growing autos,at 23 days they may be close to flowering,so it won't be too long till you'll need to feed 5 grams.
I'm glad you stopped in-I didn't know you had a new journal going...I'll be checking it out!

Thanks, 4 grams it will be. Looking forward to the simplicity of Megacrop. I've gotten pretty used to the GH trio but I always feel a little dirty when I'm mixing them, not a big fan of Monsanto.

Hey carcass, my 500g pack of Megacrop just arrived today. I'll be feeding my two autoflowers in a couple of days, probably Day 23. Where do you think I would be on their chart, Veg 1 or Veg 2? Just not sure how that applies to autoflowers:confused:. My guess would be to give them 3 grams and see what happens. What do you think?

I agree with four grams/gal. I'm feeding that in coco/perlite to plants in their second week of veg.

how many days to go!
Close to a month to go, I think... she started flowering "gradually" so I don't have an exact date for when flowering actually started-I'm going to just let the trichomes tell me when she's actually "done"

lol you changed my quote! :ganjamon:

I read in the update that seedsman gave a 8-9 flowering time, so I did the math, and she’s got a few more weeks to fatten up yet! :cheer:

Monday's here again, time for an update...
Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian friends, and happy plain old Monday to the rest of us!

Today is day 36 of flowering for the Purple Punch auto, and day 20 for the GDP/GB...
The PP is doing well, with a fairly even canopy.
The GDPx is doing alright, but her canopy is never going to be nice n flat, but I'm just going to let her do what she's doing....she's sort of an odd grower-like half the plant stretched, and the other half didn't bother with it...but she's generally doing pretty good.
Here's a look from the top,PP on the left...

1.jpg

They're using up most of the room in the box width-wise.
The PP is 19" tall, and the GDPx is 17"
and I'm pretty sure they're both done getting taller, and that's fine in their limited space...

Took them out of the box for a couple pics, here's the PP:

5.jpg

Another shot of her:
3.jpg

And the GDPxGB-you can see she's taller in some places than others:
6.jpg

and one more of her:

4.jpg

They both need a little thinning "down below"-I did some thinning out about a week ago,but you'd never know it now...
This is a PP bud, starting to get a little frosty...
7.jpg

They're both getting 6g of Mega Crop with each watering (every 3 days now)

That about covers the indoor girls for today,so lets take a look at MsCheese

8.jpg

She's doing pretty well, although the caterpillars have been eating on her for the last week..
Even so,she's only lost 2 grams of buds to them so far.
I've picked about 14 caterpillars off her in the last week-although about ten of them were dead from the Safer brand caterpillar killer that I've been spraying on her daily...
Fortunately, they haven't messed with her main bud,at least not yet...

She's might have about two weeks to go...I thought she was going to go longer, but some of the lower buds are starting to show a little amber already... the trichs are about 98% cloudy, and she's putting out very few new pistils....If it sounds like I don't know when she'll be ready...it's because I really don't know when she'll be ready... :)

This is her "big bud"
10.jpg

This is just an odd pic I took at night with a flashlight behind her-the camera flash does really bring out the frost...

9.JPG

and that's about it for my plants...
I did take a ride out to the CBD/Hemp grow to see how it's doing, and it's doing great...It's a pretty sight, even if it is just Hemp:
12.jpg

So that's it for today-the autos are both doing better than I expected-neither one of them is very tall, but in the box,I can't really do "tall"

I have decided that my next auto grow is only going to be 1 plant in the box - 2 in there works, but I don't like having to keep them narrow so they'll both fit....

Thanks for looking,I really appreciate the support!
And I hope all your plants are doing what you want them to do....

Have a great week, and I'll see you back in here next Monday!:peace:
