Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Thanks,Everyone!
This is "different" for me,because I've never won anything ...(can't say that anymore,I guess)
It's nice seeing that stuff written under my avatar,I gotta admit.

Happy Labor Day!...and, it's also Monday,so it's update time!!!

My 2 seedlings (both autos) are doing pretty well, after what seemed like a slow start-They're about a week apart,So the Purple Punch is a bit bigger, and finally started growing like a weed-

GDP on the left,PP on the right

It's good to have something growing again...

2.JPG

The PP got her lower (#1) node trimmed off on Friday, and then she got topped on Saturday-
in preparation for her Quadline training-she never even flinched when I cut things off of her,so I think she's going to do pretty well with the training...
For a quadline, you're really supposed to trim off nodes 1 & 2 ,but since they're autos,
I just trimmed off node 1,and I'll use 2 &3 for the quad, to (hopefully) speed things up a little.

The GDP is 6 days behind, but she's working on getting all caught up. I've been doing a little top watering on them both- (probably a cup of water each) just enough to soak in about an inch,to keep the top roots from drying out completely, while I wait for the pots to get light enough to (fully) water and feed again.

4.JPG

At transplant time they both got a gallon of water and 4 grams of Mega Crop, which they seem to be enjoying...That was about a week ago- they won't need a "real" watering for another 4 or 5 days-they don't drink much at this age.

I did transplant the GDP a little early- I was thinking of doing it,and then @Backlipslide suggested it too,so I just went ahead and got it over with. She doesn't seem to mind.

That's about it for those girls,so lets take a look at Ms.Cheese- we had a little mini 5 minute rainstorm this morning, didn't bother her a bit-she grew another 5 inches this week,so she's 39 inches tall now

5.JPG

And she's starting to flower,so she'll be a little more interesting from here on in...

6.JPG

I've been feeding her 5 grams of MegaCrop per gallon (early flowering dosage),and she shows signs of needing water (gets a little droopy) about every 6 days-2 gallons per watering seems to do the trick,at least for now ...
She's pest free at the moment-there's 4 or 5 little spiders living on her, which may be helping with that. I sprayed her once about 3 weeks ago, with Safer brand caterpillar killer, and that's all the "special attention" she's gotten, aside from the Mega Crop.

That's about it for now...
I hope to see you back here in a week,we should see some significant progress on all three girls by then.
Thanks for looking:thanks:

I appreciate your support, and Hope everyone has a great week!:peace:

Hey carcass finally got round to catching up with your journal and I must say I've missed lots of action since I last made a appearance, congrats on the 45th wedding anniversary and also congrats on the harvest of NL part 2 looks great and winning MOTM well deserved mate well done, Ms cheese is looking great outside and good luck with the current seedlings I've never had good luck with any autos other than 1 which was a NL cross but I'm sure you'll be fine

I'm sure you'll be fine
Thanks,Tom -I hope so...as long as they give me a little time before they start to flower, things should work out...
MS.cheese is going to steal the show!! Lol
Thanks,BL -she's just about achieved "big girl" status out there-she's going to have a lot of buds, for a plant with no training....but cannabis has been doing ok without training since forever,so I shouldn't be too surprized!
congrats on MOTM too
Thank you,Vet it was pleasant news for a Sunday morning...

Congrats on MOTM and happy belated anniversary! Ms. Cheese is getting huge! Wonder how much more she'll grow? Seen one solitary girl planted in the ground the other day and must have stood between 5' - 6' tall. Definitely took me by surprise as it's the largest I've seen in person and not something I expected to see while working haha!

Other girls seem to be coming along good as well! :goodjob:

Thanks,NBT- and thanks for stopping in, you're always welcome in here!
Wonder how much more she'll grow?
She just started flowering, and she's starting "the stretch"- she's grown 3" since mid-day Monday...so 42" tall now.
I'm thinking she'll end up at about 5' tall, but you just never really know how much she'll end up stretching...

Very fine looking ladies you got there. :thumb:

I took a little ride out to the potfield this morning to see how things
are shaping up out there-they've put up more fencing to obscure the view, but I can still look in through the gate:

Them there girls are getting big- those short plants up the hill from the pot are cauliflower or broccoli:

The rest of the pics are through the fence-I included them so you can see just
how big this grow is...

and it goes on and on...for about 1/3 mile.

They appear to be starting to stretch, (as is Ms.Cheese) so in a month or so this should get pretty interesting...
That's all I've got today, but I'm going to try and look in on them weekly from here on in.

:peace: Thank you for looking, and I'll see you back in here in a few days!

Good to see you,Prof !
Where's the GDP Auto from?
It's actually a GDPxGumberry auto- I just shortened it because it's easier to type...
It's a "Garden of Green" seed from @SeedsMan.
I was looking for a straight GDP (to go with this grow's "purple" theme :))
But I couldn't find it anywhere,so I had to settle for the GDPxGB-
I'm not real impressed with the seed quality-1 was DOA,the second one sprouted and immediately died-the third one finally sprouted, but the leaves are wonky,at least so far.

I see. That's what caught my attention. I'd not heard of a straight up GDP Auto before. Shame about the germ rate. Still, wonky's not so bad. My underdog now has the biggest buds in the tent so fingers and eyes crossed for you

I'll refer to her as GDPxGB from now on to avoid any confusion-I'm glad you mentioned that.
Still, wonky's not so bad.
Her 4th set of leaves appear to be coming in pretty normal looking,so I think she's finally got things figured out !
