Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Happy Monday!
Time for a little Update on my 2 girls...

First up is the ATF- 108 days old, flipped 51 days ago, and it's her 85th day in the SIP...
Last week, she had a leaf problem developing, but 15ml of Purpinator with every watering has gotten that problem under control- the funky leaves are still there for the most part, but they're not getting any funkier now- it took 5 days for the Purpinator to start working, but she should be fine from here on in...
The SaugaView®:
ATF 1.jpg

Her buds are getting a little fatter every day...she's got some pretty long colas for such a small (21") plant
ATF 2.jpg

The weather has warmed up (84f yesterday), so it's getting hotter in the box, and she seems to like that just fine..it also means that she drinks half a gallon every 6-7 hours- so I'm doing a lot of watering- it occurred to me that 15ml of Purpinator every 8 hours or so might be too much, but she's not complaining, so I'll keep doing it..
ATF 2a.jpg

One of her buds...a little fatter than last week...
ATF 3.jpg

This is just something I noticed on the ATF...
I always leave node#1 when I top the plants, because sometimes the branches do well, sometimes they don't.
This is one of the branches from node 1- it's the tallest, longest, fattest bud on the whole plant...
ATF 4.jpg

And the other branch from node 1? pathetic, isn't it? So ya never know....
ATF 5.jpg

On to the 94 day old Amnesia Haze..she's been in her SIP for 72 days, she was also flipped 51 days ago.
She's been out in the sun for the last 8 days or so, she loves that...She also had the K deficiency last week, but the Purpinator also got her fixed up- I left the funky leaves on this one too.
I'm going to continue using the Grow Dots, but next time I'll start adding some potassium around day 65-70-
The Dots are excellent for veg, but they seem to need a little help with flowering, at least that's been my experience...
AH 1.jpg

I don't know why, but it's hard to get a good pic of this plant- she's not very photogenic from any angle.
She still spends 5 hours a day under the Atreum- 5pm to 9pm and she still goes into the broom closet every night. I was considering just leaving her in the garage at night, since it's warming up here, but then she'd only get about 9 hours of darkness, so I'll keep schlepping her in and out...
AH 2.jpg

The double bud- I think it's starting to foxtail a little bit...foxtails smoke just fine, so she can have at it
AH 3.jpg

A regular bud- plenty of frost and real stinky...not very big, either- but there is about 40 of 'em..
AH 6.jpg

And that about covers it for today!
Thanks for looking, I appreciate your support..
I hope you and your gardens are all doing well!

I'll do that, T!
He sent me a pic of his latest BX-1 Wookiee- it looks great! (I don't know what BX-1 means, but it must be good :))
That's a beauty of a pic Shed/Carcass!
Thanks, Stone- it was a team effort !😁

Sweet sweet progress! The AHa is going to be loaded with 40 flowers but that ATF is flat out loaded.

21" plant, 19" cola. :thumb:

I've found the same thing on lower nodes (never the first because it's gone on upcan to 1 gallon), and I often take off one side if it looks like a laggard compared to its mate opposite.
This is one of the branches from node 1- it's the tallest, longest, fattest bud on the whole plant...
Yes, good idea to have left that. :cheesygrinsmiley:

They can't all be lookers, but the jars don't care!

Sweet sweet progress!
Thanks, Shed! I'm actually a bit stoked that I got her fixed in less than a week- I figured that k def. might drag on till the end..(like the last one did...)
I've found the same thing on lower nodes
Yeah, sometimes they're worth leaving on, sometimes, not so much...
They can't all be lookers, but the jars don't care!
Ugly smokes as good as pretty...
You have got them looking beautiful Carcass!
Thank You, Stunger- a little potassium did the trick!

Both of your girls look good. Are they both photos? Do you know how many more days/weeks they have left?

They responded well Carcass! Good call on the Purpinator. :Rasta:

I've noticed the same thing with node #1s. One branch may be muscular and tall and its opposite looks like a much younger sibling.

And that Coca-Cola! It’s an absolute spear!
Thanks, T! it is a fat one!
Are they both photos? Do you know how many more days/weeks they have left?
Thanks, Hash Girl! They did both end up being photos, and both were flipped 55 days ago-I'm calling it 7 weeks of flowering, so they both probably have 2 or 3 weeks to go- I am seeing quite a bit of amber on the outside girl, mostly on the sugar leaves, so it doesn't mean much yet...but I think she'll probably be ready first
Good call on the Purpinator..
Thanks, GDB!
...occasionally, even a blind squirrel stumbles across an acorn...🐿️

On the outside girl , 1 branch was so tiny I cut it off a long time ago- the other branch did fine- not as fine as the ATF, but fine enough...

Well, it's Monday again!
Time for an Update on my 2 little ladies...

First up, the 115 day old ATF- it's her 92nd day in the SIP, 58 days since flip. Still 21" tall...
I turned the light down to 50 watts for some of the pics- she looks a little different than she does under the usual 200 watts- not that she's real colorful, but what color she does have looks better at the lower wattage..

The SaugaView®:
ATF1-a.jpg

There's a few funky leaves leftover from her brief K deficiency, but no new ones in the last ten days or so.
Neither plant has even dropped a leaf in the last week, since the Purpinator started working...

ATF2-2.jpg

The weather has warmed up, so it's warmer in the box(82-85f), which means she's drinking a half gallon every 7 or 8 hours...I let the rez sit dry for a couple hours before I water her, but she still needs water twice a day.
She's still getting most of her nutes from the Grow Dots, but they're weak on the p&k, hence the Purpinator...

I'm planning on continuing to use the Grow Dots in the future, but I'll start applying a pk booster around day 65-70 in the Dots.

A bud under 205 watts:
4ATF.jpg

On to the 101 day old outdoor Amnesia Haze- it's her 79th day in the SIP, and she was also flipped 58 days ago..

A SaugaView- She's kinda funky looking, but as healthy as can be...
6AH.jpg

There was no sun until 4:30pm yesterday, so she spent her whole day in the garage under the Atreum Hydra-1000@ 100 watts...This one drinks half a gallon every 8 or10 hours- slower than the ATF, but it's also 10-15f cooler outside than it is in the box .
8AH.jpg

17" tall, 23" wide- She keeps it pretty well hidden, but there's a crapload of weed on her...I really should give her a little haircut...If she were growing exclusively indoors, I would, but out in the sun it doesn't seem to matter very much- all the buds manage to find the sun one way or another..
We'll all get a better look at her buds at harvest time...👁️

She also got the Purpinator treatment, so (hopefully) she's going to be nice n' healthy at harvest time (probably 2 or 3 weeks from now)
6AH3.jpg

A regular bud..they're starting to get fat now

The doublewide bud...it started out fat...:)

A damn lovely pair Carcass! :green_heart:

You've got me wondering if I had a defective bag of Grow Dots!

Speaking of which, I hear Tad started a new growing using them.

A damn lovely pair Carcass!
Thanks, GDB! That's not what I was expecting a few weeks back, but they pulled through pretty well...

You've got me wondering if I had a defective bag of Grow Dots!
It may be possible that the Dots behave a little differently in a sip- nothing gets washed away by runoff, so 100% of the nutes go into the plant...they're still weak in the pk dep't, but I'm hoping we've got that part figured out now...
Speaking of which, I hear Tad started a new growing using them.
Ha!- He probably found mine, because I sure haven't.. 🤔

After correcting for damaged leaves (by ignoring them with my selective eyesight), that's a beautiful plant. I love the way the orange pistils stand up just as straight as the white ones.

I'd say 2 weeks easy for those buds, and they'll be even fatter by then!
what color she does have looks better at the lower wattage
Much prettier when the colors aren't washed out by the blazing LEDs!
On to the 101 day old outdoor Amnesia Haze- it's her 79th day in the SIP, and she was also flipped 58 days ago..
That's a hot mess (hopefully hotter from here on out). I can't wait to see all the bud hiding under the leaves.

Dunno why he would need to grow anything with all the overflow jars he has on hand. :hmmmm:

Thank You, Shed!

Nothing like when I turned the light down on the GSC,and all the colors showed up, but yeah, the Nextlight puts out so much white light that everything gets washed out- things look fine under the Atreum because it's got like 3 colors of led's- the Nextlight just has white- although, it seems to grow weed pretty well.. :)
I can't wait to see all the bud hiding under the leaves.
Here's an apx. 8 inch one that's not totally buried in the leaves- she's getting real stinky lately too...
AH big bud.jpg

Nothin' wrong with that! Sometimes, there's no other choice...the stem crush should be done at the first sign of "tallness", because it'll slow them down and they may end up not getting too tall...but once they are too tall,
your method works fine!
Here's a crude drawing of what you can do with the smaller branches to keep them in line (this won't work for the big main branches)
tootall.jpg

You may not need to do this yet, but when she starts stretching this^^ is something you might have to do.

Omg!

I literally forgot this advice!

I lightening bolted Snow just the other week. I wish I had have remembered this tip.

They both look beautiful! Just beautiful!
Looking very nice Carcass!
Beastly Beautiful Carcass!
Thanks so much, guys! If it weren't for the Purpinator, you'd probably be offering me condolences instead...😀
I think you're right about a SIP container holding on to nutes allowing a plant opportunity for longer periods.
Once they get into the rez, the only way out is through the plant.!.
I'm actually a bit surprised that both my plants can handle 15ml of Purpinator, twice a day, with no adverse effects...but they just keep soakin' it up!
Are you taking all 200mg of CBG at bedtime? That would be 20 capsules for me.
Hi, Shed! I've dropped the dosage down to 30mg CBG+ 20mg CBD three times a day- I blended the 2 isolates @ 3parts CBG to 2 parts CBD, so I just take 50mg of the blend...(3x/day)
Does it have any positive effects? I don't know- but it doesn't hurt anything, either!🤔

The biggest bud on the ATF started out that way!

:thanks: for that! I'm going to start with just bedtime for now and I guess work my way up from 10 to 30mg an hour before I hit the sack. Being able to fall back to sleep after the 4am bathroom trip is my main goal (is that why they call it the "wee" hours of the morning?).
