Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Thanks, GDB!
I've been trying to spoil the stepchild too, but all this rain won't let me...
It's going to rain for the next 3 days, so the stepchild gets stuffed into the ellipse of illumination® for 3 more days, and she really doesn't fit in there now...it's a "two pounds of shit in a one pound bag" thing...🤪

Both plants are looking fantastic. That ATF looks like it's gonna bust the walls out on your grow tent box. :welldone:
I've got the same weather forecast here, at least the temps have been a bit warmer lately.

Thank You, Beez!
That ATF looks like it's gonna bust the walls out on your grow tent box
That yellow string around her midsection really works to keep the buds off the walls...good thing, too- this is the gooiest plant I've grown so far, and I don't need all that good goo stuck on the walls...
at least the temps have been a bit warmer lately.
They have- a few more degrees, and I can stop schlepping her into the house every night...

The only string I have is a neutral, tan color. Will it work as well as a yellow string? 😜

Glad I could help with that, Shed!:high-five:

Mine too, I love watching the buds get a little bit fatter every day..💚

Monday again, so here goes another Update!

First up is the 91 day old ATF-she's still doing pretty well, she's been in her SIP for 71 days now.
She's drinking like a fish lately, a gallon a day. The Rez is just a little over half a gallon, so it gets filled twice a day- next SIP, I'm going to try it in something a bit bigger, or figure out an autofill arrangement...

atf1.jpg

She may have finally stopped getting taller @ 21" tall. She's 16" from the light, which is set to 210 watts..
atf2.jpg

Her canopy survived the stretch pretty well, only 2 branches tried to get too tall, but I got to 'em before they did... 😁
atf3a.jpg

She's going to have some fairly long spears on her- most of the colas are 8-10" long.
She was flipped 37 days ago, so I figure she's about halfway there...there probably won't be any silhouette shots of this one, because she's not going to fit through the door very well, if at all
atf4.jpg

Figured I'd throw in an artsy bud shot...I see my background wasn't quite black enough...
atf6.jpg

On to the 80 day old Amnesia Haze (front)...The sun is out today, so I stopped here for a pic on the way outside..
ah2.jpg

Not the best looking plant around, but she's pretty healthy considering this is only the fourth time she's seen the sun- the Atreum Hydra-1000 has done a good job keeping her going in the garage.
And she'll see it some more tomorrow- it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days...it's her 58th day in the SIP,.
She was also flipped 37 days ago..
ah1 (2).jpg

It's hard to tell from the pic, but her canopy is fairly flat, despite her lack of training...she's finally starting to drop a few of her older leaves, but only about 5 so far..
ah1.jpg

Some of her pistils are changing color now- this is the double bud..
ah4.jpg

And, a "regular" bud
ah5.jpg

I haven't actually "fed" either one of them since they went into their SIPs...instead, they're living on
the Grow Dots that were mixed into the soil the day they each went into the SIPs, so 71 days ago for the ATF, and 58 days ago for the AH.
9 tsp. of Dots for the AH in3 gallons of soil, and 12 tsp. for the ATF, in 3.75 gallons of soil..
Not sure if the Dots will last to the end, but I'll be finding out real soon here...🤔

And, there you have it!
Thanks so much for looking,
I appreciate the support..
Have a good week, and I hope your gardens are all doing what you want them to do!:thumb:
Omg they both look so good! But Outcast Ophelia won my heart. Not that this is about me while making it all about me…. Lol! She is basically living my school years!

C’mon Ophelia! The cold and hunger makes you stronger! Let it shape you! Coz girl you are as worthy of a crown as any of those fancy arsed girls! You. Will. Shine!

It won't be nearly as stylish as the yellow string, but I guess it'll work ... 🤪
As per usual!! Nothings changed!!
Thanks, BL!
When something works, I tend to stick with it...:high-five:

She really is making the best of a less-than-ideal situation...she just keeps pluggin' along!
Hey Backlip nice to see you brother!
I know, right?
Great to see you, @Backlipslide !

Hi,Otter!
I was just checking out your bucket o' clones thread- great job on them, and good on you for
giving them all away...not sure I could do that- I'd probably have to keep at least one!:D
and then find a place to put it...

I want a lot of things! Giving them away is best for everyone though! Those Bruce Bannons are tempting!

This is one of the things that is preventing me from wanting to try a SIP. My lights are on at night because electricity is cheaper then but I'm not so I can't be giving them liquid more than once per day. I always look for less work to do rather than more.

Either of the top 2 photos would be excellent Photo of the Month contenders, IMO. :battingeyelashes: Both of your plants look healthy and lush.

Once a day is fine. Some growers will do it more than once per day if they're drinking that much to maximize the grow, but you don't have to.

If you could do a SIP on a larger scale, something with a bigger reservoir, you wouldn't have to water them every day- My next SIP will have a bigger rez- the two I have now only hold a half gallon each.
They each drink that up in 12 hours, so now I'm having to water twice a day- I don't mind because I've got the time to do it, but it would definitely be a pain in the ass if I were still as busy as I used to be.

I knew the the rez were pretty small when I built them, so all this watering was something I was prepared for-
It'll be a little different next time

Either of the top 2 photos would be excellent Photo of the Month contenders, IMO.
Thanks so much, HashGirl!

Once a day is fine.
Once a day was fine until they started flowering- they started drinking twice as much after the flip.
Like I mentioned above- I've got the time, so for me, all that watering not a problem, and my next SIP will either have a bigger rez, or I'll figure out an auto fill system for it...

I'm using 5 gal Gro Buckets that hold about a gallon of water. Of late I'm feeding about every day and a half. I could feed daily, but I've been treating them more like a fabric pot and letting them dry a bit between feedings rather than keep the res full at all times. I never let them get to the point of getting wilted. They're still some good sized girls. Two tents, 6 plants total.

I think I'll wait awhile longer between waterings..
Judging by your pics, I don't think it'll be bad for them... 😁
I think I'm just a bit ocd about keeping them full, but I can work around that!
Said, Capt. Obvious!
exactly!

My res was never empty through veg, but the last three weeks I was working 66+ hours per. I slacked and would stretch them to filling the res every day and a half. Didn't seem to bother them.
