Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Killing it as usual Carcass!

You and Grow Dots dance together like Fred and Ginger! :Rasta:

You and Grow Dots dance together like Fred and Ginger!
Dancing is at the top of the "things I can't do" list :) ...but the Dots are dancing enough for both of us!
I hope they can keep it up till the end ...we'll know for sure in a month or so..🤔

Love it! Great stuff Carcass, lovely work you do!
Thanks, Stunger! - between the SIPs and the Grow Dots, it's a lot less work than it used to be...
It's been a joy to watch for the last 4 years.
Thank you so much, Vet! It means a lot..
We've both gotten a little better at this in those years!
Funny- my main worry when I first built the box, was plants getting too tall to fit in there-
10 or 12 plants later, and it hasn't happened yet!

And, in case anyone missed it...the Monday update is here !

And I missed this last week- Sorry for the late response....

Thank You, T!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another Monday, so it's time for another Update on my 2 little ladies...

The ATF is tall enough that I've got to pop the top on the box to get a good SaugaView®:

Some of you may not have known it's a convertible...:)
1c.jpg

She's 19+" tall now, probably as big as she's going to get...
1b.jpg

She stretched fairly evenly, despite removing all her tie downs a week or so ago...
The light is set to 210 watts, which supplies 56k lux @ 18"from the canopy...
2.jpg

That yellow string is her only restraint now- that's to keep the buds off the walls later on...
She's 87 days old- she's been in her SIP for 64 days...
3.jpg

She's stacking pretty good-This girl's going to have some fairly long buds on her...
Flipped to 12/12 30 days ago, first flowers showed up 20 days ago....

This is the stickiest plant I've grown yet-touch her anywhere near a bud, and there's goo on your hands
5.jpg

Now for the Amnesia Haze-73 days old, in her SIP for 51 days.
6.jpg

I've got to get her defoliated pretty soon- I may have to stop waiting for the sun and just do it, because she's a bit thick in the middle...
7.jpg

The ATF is 3 inches taller than the AH, but they're both apx. 2 feet wide..

8.jpg

Since there's no sun yet, (we've had one sunny day in the last week) she's still getting stuffed into the "Ellipse of Illumination®" every day, even though she's actually too big for it...Her light is set to 85watts, which supplies 46k lux @ 12" from the canopy..
She spends her nights in the hall closet, because it's warmer than the garage...🥶
10.jpg

She was also flipped 30 days ago, but her pistils just showed up a week ago...she's going for it pretty good now...(that's her double bud)
She's showing a few trichomes already...
10a.jpg

They're both still living exclusively on the GrowDots- nothing but water (and a smidge of AloeVera powder) has been added to the rez's so far.*
I'm sort of expecting the Dots to start running out of gas pretty soon, but it hasn't happened yet!

* I've added 3ml/gal of Neem oil, twice in the last month, to do away with a few critters in the runoff water- it works very well, and the plants don't mind it a bit...

And that's about all there is today-
Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support..

Have a great week, and I hope your gardens are thriving...:peace:
Good evening C Lovebubble!

😊💛😊💛😊💛

The red wine and scoob have officially collided. Lol!

🍷 + 🚬 =🥰

Right at this moment I’m breathing in contentment and breathing out love. Lolling!

1, 2 back to you. Your grow is simply amazing. Every time you show us my heart bursts with pride.

Love your guts. Xo

Thank You for the kind words, Shed!
with the yellow belt tied just so around the waist..
Only the good ones get "the belt"- the GSC got the belt too...
I'm guessing it grew all the foliage in the middle in an attempt to stay warm
You and Grow Dots dance together like Fred and Wilma! 🦕
Or Dino and Wilma...:)

Your grow is simply amazing.
Thank You, T!- I've got to admit, these two are doing better than usual...SIPs and GrowDots seem to be a pretty good combination...so far, anyway👍
A convertible!
Ha!...but it's not really "top down" weather!...(it's pouring rain right now:straightface:)

The trifecta!...It's pouring rain, it's too damn cold, and now, the power is out...good time to give the Amnesia Haze her much-needed haircut...but otherwise a very grower-unfriendly second day of Spring...

:yahoo: The AH finally got with the program. Still no clue why she took so long to start blooming?

Sorry for the late response....it also seemed like a good time for a nap!🥱
:goodluck: trimming by candle light! 🕯️
There was enough light in the garage to get her done- I had my flashlight in case there wasn't...😁
Still no clue why she took so long to start blooming?
Thanks for asking, HashGirl!
Not really, although there's a few things that may have contributed to it-

First- the temps- she's been too damn cold all her life so far, I think that's probably the main thing...

Second- I flipped her apx 2 weeks earlier than usual, maybe that kept her from flowering for awhile? (I don't think so, never mattered before)

Third- She went into the Grow Dots 2 weeks earlier than she should have, and she started flowering 2 weeks later than she should have- probably no connection there, though-

Fourth- maybe she's actually a late-blooming auto? (this one is a bit of a stretch)

So, to answer your question, I'm not really sure what caused it, but she's really going for it now!😁

Atmospheric River. That even sounds ominous!

Looks ominous too! It's damn dark out there...
Today is (allegedly) the end of the rain till Tuesday, but we won't see the sun until (allegedly) Friday...

I hope I recognize it...🤪

It's a big orange-reddish thingy. It will come back to you when you see it!

It will come back to you when you see it!
It will!

I hope it brings a little warmth with it....🥶

in more storm news...my electrician son didn't like my grow lights going off during the power failures yesterday, so he gave me a 600 watt UPS...he figures it'll last about two hours powering my 350 watt grow stuff...so that's pretty cool, and, I won't have to reset my damn timers every time the lights flicker..👍
