Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Hope you don't get as much incoming rain as they're predicting for the coast.
Yeah, the weekend is looking a bit bleak, 3 to 4 inches is what they're predicting...
Fortunately, the Atreum Hydra-1000 is on standby in the garage Ellipse of Illumination®!....

She loves it! I think I see a smile.
She's definitely a happy little camper...not growin' much, but really happy... 😁

Good morning C Star!

I was dazzled right up until the very last pic.

I’m not sure how to tell you this… but she’s definitely hermed.

Plants look fab. SIPs seem to be working great.
Thank You, VG!
They really are working well- I figured I'd try them once, to see how it goes...but now, I'm pretty sure I'll be using them from now on-
Watering is easier, and the plants grow faster- 2 good reasons to stick with the SIPs...😄

I couldn't understand what I was looking at
I couldn't help myself, had to do it...😆
Have you seen these?
Thank You, Boo!
I have, and I may go that route next grow- they're thin enough that they won't eat up much vertical space in the box, but large enough to hold a lot more water than my current ones, which I just finished watering for the second time today...(.75 gal. reservoirs)

Thank you for the kind words, LA..:thumb:
Welcome to my little journal !

In spite of all this cold weather, your plants are looking awesome! :thumb: I bought some grow dots for my son to try out this summer. I'm very encouraged!

Thanks, Beez!
I bought some grow dots for my son to try out this summer. I'm very encouraged!
The Dots are working very well so far- last grow with them, they did sort of run out of gas toward the end, so it remains to be seen if that's going to happen this time or not...I am following their schedule to the letter this time, so that might make a difference...
We'll probably know for sure in a month or so.. 🤔

It's Monday, so it seems like a good time for a little Update on my 2 ladies...

First up, the 80 day old ATF...it's her 57th day in the SIP, and she's still diggin' it in there..
A SaugaView®:
1.jpg

She did a little growing this week(3 inches), so she's 18" tall now...
5a.jpg

Even with the stretching, she's still pretty flat on top...far from perfect, but close enough...it's day 23 of 12/12..
She's 19" from the Nextlight, which is set to 225 watts..she was sitting on a 2" spacer till 3 days ago, now she's on the floor.

A peek through both doors:
3.jpg

One of her little buds...she's just starting with the trichomes..
4.jpg

And the 66 day old Amnesia Haze...here's where she started this morning, but then the sun came out...
she almost doesn't fit in the Ellipse of Illuminatonn® anymore..:(
6a.jpg

Stopped for a pic on her way outside...
6 AH s.jpg

This one is 14" tall, she's been in her SIP for 44 days now.
She was also flipped to 12/12 23 days ago...she seems to be thinking about flowering, but not a lot of pistil action so far...
8 AH.jpg

She doesn't look it, but she's about two feet wide-I haven't done any training on her for 3 weeks or so, but she's staying pretty well under control on her own.
She needs a little defoliation pretty soon- I've been leaf-tucking so far, but that's not going to work for much longer...
10 AH.jpg

Here's a little soon-to-be double bud thing she's got going on- I guess she is going to start flowering eventually- but I've never had one take this long to do it...maybe it's the cold weather- she's running about two weeks behind where (I think) she should be.
Not that we're in a hurry....
AH pre-bud.jpg

The SIP/GrowDots combo is working great so far, hopefully they keep it up till the end...

And that's where things are at today!
Thank you for looking, I appreciate your support...

Have a great week!

Lovely specimens Carcass!

But I can't help that feel that the AH is getting the short end of the stick. I'm trying to get over it.

But I can't help that feel that the AH is getting the short end of the stick.
It does seem like it- If the sun would just cooperate, I could get her on a more stable schedule- she can't like all the moving around she's had to do, but she's not really showing any signs of stress...

(other than that "refusing to flower" thing... 🤪)

Marvelous my man!
Thank You, Stone!- They're both happy as clams in their SIPs! I think the ATF has topped out at 18.5" tall, but the AH is just starting to stretch (both are on flip day 25) so she may get there yet...still not many flowers though...

That ATF has a damn fine canopy unless you're trying to balance a bowl of soup on it.
And I recall that Justin moved an auto to flower outside that he vegged indoors, and it turned out to be massive. So...like son like father?

It looks like that's where we're headed...just waitin' on a little sunshine...⏱️
Her spot in the garage is officially too small for her now, so the sooner, the better!
Still not sure about her auto status...don't a lot of them take 25 days post 12/12 to start flowering?🤪

Hi C Weed!

I somehow missed this!

I realised it’s Thursday and you hadn’t updated. Literally searched you just to give you a spray, and here you are!

Looking just beautiful

😻😻😻

I somehow missed this!
And I missed this last week- Sorry for the late response....
Looking just beautiful
Thank You, T!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another Monday, so it's time for another Update on my 2 little ladies...

The ATF is tall enough that I've got to pop the top on the box to get a good SaugaView®:

Some of you may not have known it's a convertible...:)
1c.jpg

She's 19+" tall now, probably as big as she's going to get...
1b.jpg

She stretched fairly evenly, despite removing all her tie downs a week or so ago...
The light is set to 210 watts, which supplies 56k lux @ 18"from the canopy...
2.jpg

That yellow string is her only restraint now- that's to keep the buds off the walls later on...
She's 87 days old- she's been in her SIP for 64 days...
3.jpg

She's stacking pretty good-This girl's going to have some fairly long buds on her...
Flipped to 12/12 30 days ago, first flowers showed up 20 days ago....

This is the stickiest plant I've grown yet-touch her anywhere near a bud, and there's goo on your hands
5.jpg

Now for the Amnesia Haze-73 days old, in her SIP for 51 days.
6.jpg

I've got to get her defoliated pretty soon- I may have to stop waiting for the sun and just do it, because she's a bit thick in the middle...
7.jpg

The ATF is 3 inches taller than the AH, but they're both apx. 2 feet wide..

8.jpg

Since there's no sun yet, (we've had one sunny day in the last week) she's still getting stuffed into the "Ellipse of Illumination®" every day, even though she's actually too big for it...Her light is set to 85watts, which supplies 46k lux @ 12" from the canopy..
She spends her nights in the hall closet, because it's warmer than the garage...🥶
10.jpg

She was also flipped 30 days ago, but her pistils just showed up a week ago...she's going for it pretty good now...(that's her double bud)
She's showing a few trichomes already...
10a.jpg

They're both still living exclusively on the GrowDots- nothing but water (and a smidge of AloeVera powder) has been added to the rez's so far.*
I'm sort of expecting the Dots to start running out of gas pretty soon, but it hasn't happened yet!

* I've added 3ml/gal of Neem oil, twice in the last month, to do away with a few critters in the runoff water- it works very well, and the plants don't mind it a bit...

And that's about all there is today-
Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support..

Have a great week, and I hope your gardens are thriving...:peace:
