Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Your son loves you Carcass! Cool tool!
Ha! That's part of it!
The other part is making sure that the crop finishes with no problems, so he can smoke a bunch of it 😁
You'll be squinting like you've been in a cave! Better days ahead!
I'm looking forward to the squinting!

Young'uns always looking out for us old folks.
Yep! He gave it to me then he added "because I know you're too cheap to buy one"...

He knows his dear old Dad pretty well...

Your plants are looking amazing as usual, and if the ATF is this sticky so early in the flower cycle, I can't wait to see it when it's closer to harvest. :bravo:

Thanks, Beez!

Yeah, I think she's going to be a good one- plenty of stink to go with her sticky too...

A Friday mini- update?
Sure, why not....:)

The 91 day old ATF, in her SIP for 68 days (and loving it!)
1atf.jpg

I thought she stopped growing at 18.5", but she's grown another 2.5 inches since then- 21" tall now..
she's 34 days post-flip...
2atf.jpg

She's staying nice n' green so far, hopefully, she can keep that up for another month or so...
3a atf.jpg

She's got some happy looking buds on her...she's getting her frost on pretty good now, too...
3atf.jpg

And the Amnesia Haze finally got her day in the sun!

She's a bit funky looking from being stuffed into the Ellipse of Illumination® every day for the last week and a half or so (she doesn't really fit in there)
She's grown a little more- 17" tall now..and she's also 34 days post-flip..
5ah.jpg

The SaugaView®: She's actually got a few more buds than the ATF- the big one (center left in the pic) is her double bud. She's77 days old, in her SIP for 55 days.
7ah.jpg

A closer look at that double bud..it's a hairy one...😁

And that's it for todays mini-update!
Thanks for looking,
I appreciate the support...

Be sure to have a great weekend...👍

Your plants look good, Carcass. Is 21" for the ATF the tallest plant you've grown in your box? I thought 19" was where they usually ended up.

Thank You, HashGirl!

It's not the tallest (yet?) - the GSC was the tallest at 26"- it was close to outgrowing the box, but not quite...
I had a run of 3 x 17" tall plants in a row before the GSC, but since then, they've varied.

I'm going to keep using the SIPs, so I may need to get used to them getting a bit taller in there- 27" is the max height (imo)- that puts the plant at 10" from the light, which is as close as I'd like it to get.

It all really depends on the stretch, because I flip them at apx.10" tall, and hope for the best from then on.. 😁

Looking sweet in there and loving the structure 👍
Thanks, LA!
I got lucky with this one- her stretch was very even across the canopy...now her only restraint is that
yellow string (belt) around her middle to keep her off the walls when the buds start to get heavy...

The one outside hasn't gotten much training because of her lighting situation- I'm thinking I'll just let her do her own thing from here on in..
Super gorgeous and ultra verdant!
Thank You, VG!
Those GrowDots definitely keep them nice 'n green!
Until they don't- the last Grow Dot one started to yellow about this time in the grow, but I also didn't follow the "timing"instructions that time...
that AH must like her treat of being in sunshine too!
Thanks, Stunger!
She does!
(as it's clouding up out there right now)
Oh well- half a day of sun is better than no sun at all!

I've never had a double-bud.

It must be twice as much fun watching one of those mature! :Rasta:

Looking forward!

I had one other one on a CBD plant a few years back- you can tell there's one on the way by the stem- it gets flat, like it's trying to be 2 stems, but it never splits, it just grows a wide bud.
They also both had 4 leaves/branches per node, whatever that's called...(I should know, but I don't)

Quad-something!

"4 leaves per node" is probably easier to say anyway... ;)

Heck it made my Friday night!
Glad I could help with that, Shed!:high-five:
This is my favourite stage of flower.
Mine too, I love watching the buds get a little bit fatter every day..💚

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Monday again, so here goes another Update!

First up is the 91 day old ATF-she's still doing pretty well, she's been in her SIP for 71 days now.
She's drinking like a fish lately, a gallon a day. The Rez is just a little over half a gallon, so it gets filled twice a day- next SIP, I'm going to try it in something a bit bigger, or figure out an autofill arrangement...

atf1.jpg

She may have finally stopped getting taller @ 21" tall. She's 16" from the light, which is set to 210 watts..
atf2.jpg

Her canopy survived the stretch pretty well, only 2 branches tried to get too tall, but I got to 'em before they did... 😁
atf3a.jpg

She's going to have some fairly long spears on her- most of the colas are 8-10" long.
She was flipped 37 days ago, so I figure she's about halfway there...there probably won't be any silhouette shots of this one, because she's not going to fit through the door very well, if at all
atf4.jpg

Figured I'd throw in an artsy bud shot...I see my background wasn't quite black enough...
atf6.jpg

On to the 80 day old Amnesia Haze (front)...The sun is out today, so I stopped here for a pic on the way outside..
ah2.jpg

Not the best looking plant around, but she's pretty healthy considering this is only the fourth time she's seen the sun- the Atreum Hydra-1000 has done a good job keeping her going in the garage.
And she'll see it some more tomorrow- it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days...it's her 58th day in the SIP,.
She was also flipped 37 days ago..
ah1 (2).jpg

It's hard to tell from the pic, but her canopy is fairly flat, despite her lack of training...she's finally starting to drop a few of her older leaves, but only about 5 so far..
ah1.jpg

Some of her pistils are changing color now- this is the double bud..
ah4.jpg

And, a "regular" bud
ah5.jpg

I haven't actually "fed" either one of them since they went into their SIPs...instead, they're living on
the Grow Dots that were mixed into the soil the day they each went into the SIPs, so 71 days ago for the ATF, and 58 days ago for the AH.
9 tsp. of Dots for the AH in3 gallons of soil, and 12 tsp. for the ATF, in 3.75 gallons of soil..
Not sure if the Dots will last to the end, but I'll be finding out real soon here...🤔

And, there you have it!
Thanks so much for looking,
I appreciate the support..
Have a good week, and I hope your gardens are all doing what you want them to do!:thumb:

Looking great Carcass!

I like the way you're enthused on SIPS, and how that is sweeping thru our community, of course I am slacking as I don't have a reservoir in mine but I might try to incorporate one in the future if I can get a Harry Potter wand to do all the heavy lifting.

The double bud with its pistils all simultaneously turning colour at their ends looks very striking, I haven't had one like that before.

Thank You, Stunger💚

I like the way you're enthused on SIPS,
I didn't start out that way- initially I thought "probably won't work that well, but I'm going to try it anyway"
Didn't take long for the SIPs to prove me wrong-They actually do what they're supposed to do, and they do it extremely well...Who knew that such a simple concept could work as well as it does?
@Azimuth, that's who!:thanks:
I am slacking as I don't have a reservoir in mine
The SIP that the Amnesia Haze is in is the air chamber type like yours, and it's doing just as good as the ATF in the double bucket one- it is a little smaller than the ATF, but it also hasn't had much "real" light in it's life so far.

I might try to incorporate one in the future if I can get a Harry Potter wand to do all the heavy lifting.
Putting wheels on it might be a good idea, because they are a bit heavy with all that water on board...

The spoiled child and the stepchild both look great Carcass!

Looking forward! :Rasta:
