Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Thank You, Stunger!
Either these 2 are just easy, or I'm getting a little better at it...

It is!
I feel like a slacker when I don't have to fiddle with them for at least 15 minutes a day..
(watering daily doesn't really count- that takes about a minute)

She was flipped 2.5 weeks sooner than usual, and she doesn't have alternating nodes yet- maybe she's just not quite ready to enter womanhood..🤪
So with the autos does the light situation change like photos or can you give them the same light cycle all the way thru?

TGIF!
How about a little Friday Update on these 2 little ladies?

First up is the ATF- she's stretching a bit now, and flowering is going about like it should...

She's 70 days old, flipped 13 days ago...fortunately, she's stretching fairly evenly, because I can't go much wider in there..

I found some critters in her runoff on Tuesday (lots of little "swimmy things") so I added 3ml of Neem oil
to her Wednesday (warm) watering..by Thursday, they were still coming out in the runoff, but they were all dead...This morning the runoff water was clear- I'll add another dose of Neem in a few days to keep the critters away...I'm impressed by how well that shit works!

2.jpg

She's maintaining her canopy pretty well so far...
3.jpg

She's been in her SIP for 47 days now...she was watered from the top 1 time, on transplant day, and since then all her watering has been from the bottom.
4.jpg

And now the Amnesia Haze (not an auto)
She's an odd one...13 days into 12/12, and she's not starting to flower yet- maybe her cold environment
is slowing her flowering down?
She's been in her SIP for 34 days..I didn't find any bugs in the res on this one..(probably too damn cold for 'em...:cheesygrinsmiley: )
5.jpg

She's real healthy (she's not pale green, the Atreum just makes her look that way) but her growth and development is quite a bit slower than the ATF, who lives in the nice, warm box next door...the only heat this one gets is from a seedling mat and the light.
6.jpg

I haven't had to adjust any of her hooks for 6 days now, because she's growing so slowly...by the end of the day, it only gets up to 60f in the garage (from 45-50f in the morning)
7.jpg

The sun is shining today- if that continues, she'll be going outside soon...although, it's not a helluva lot warmer out there than it is in the garage...🤔

And that's about it for today..
Thanks for looking,
I appreciate your support...
Have a great weekend!

And now the Quotes:

Hi, GF!
No, autos don't care about the light cycle, they just flower whenever their internal clock tells them to..
My Amnesia Haze was mistakenly thought to be an auto at first, but when it got to 40 days old, and hadn't started flowering, I figured it must be a photo...

about when in the grow cycle do you find it necessary to begin daily watering?
Hi, John!
I'm growing these in SIPs, (self irrigating planters) so watering them only involves filling the reservoir- my reservoirs aren't very big, so they've been drinking them dry every day for the last 3 weeks or so, so they get watered every morning with nice warm water. It won't be too long till I'll need to water them twice a day...
You do nice work training them.
Thanks, LR! It helps when the plants cooperate, and both of these took to the training extremely well!
These plants are sure tuned in!
Thank you, Stone- I blame the SIPs for that... 😁
I thought autos had a built in schedule, unchanged by light.
Hi, Buzzzd!
That's correct...most of the autos I've grown have started flowering at apx. 21 days old, no matter the light cycle...occasionally one will take a week or so longer, but that doesn't seem to happen very often..

Good morning C Level

Omg that Carcanopy! It’s like a grow canopy songs should be written about!

You really are the bomb!

Thats mad lol at least that's clear. Cant wait to see her bloom

BUT, more or higher intensity light can make sure they get enough light to max out their daily limit. That's why a lot of auto growers use the 18/6 cycle. Gotta go pee autos every advantage you can since they can be more of a challenge to grow well.

Cant wait to see her bloom
I can't either, but she's sure in no hurry to do it- the cold is slowing her way down- the ATF will have little pom- poms by Monday, but the AH isn't even showing any pistils yet, and they were both flipped on the same day..

I do 18/6 with autos, I figure even autos need a little sleep...although, they seem to do a lot of their growing during the dark period, so I guess they're not really sleeping . 😁

Damn autocorrect...

Could be a long 1 with it being a haze but will be worth it in the end mate.

Damn autocorrect...
. Yeah this artifical intelligence stuff is a little scary. And my personal life is just that. Personal. :laughtwo:

It was meant to say "gotta  give autos every advantage..."

I really should proof read the post before sending.

Thank you, Trala!
I hope you and your man have an obscene one too!:high-five:

=======================================================================
And now...
How about a little Update on the 2 SIP girls?

They're both doing well- the Grow Dots/SIP combination is keeping them pretty happy so far..

Amnesia Haze auto(?) , left- ATF, right...

The AHa- 38 days old, 17 in the SIP- no sign of pistils yet...which seems like a good thing, but it's gettin' kinda late in the game for that...if she turns out to be a photo, I'm going to have to come up with a new plan... 🤔 Those specks on her leaves aren't bugs or something- they're dust blowing off the 2 overhead fans that I didn't clean when I should have..

This is a little late but I had a Blueberry auto that didn't start flowering until Day 47.

Could be a long 1 with it being a haze
And this cold weather sure isn't going to speed anything up..
Yeah this artifical intelligence stuff is a little scary.
Ai sez the darndest things...🤪

Thanks, HashGirl!
This one is 57 days old today, and I spotted a single pistil on her this morning, on the 14th day of 12/12...

Which makes me wonder- is she indeed an auto, and it's her "time" ? or, is she a photo, but slow to react to 12/12 because of her less than ideal environment? (56f in the garage right now)

Although- it doesn't really matter, as long as she eventually produces some good weed..:lot-o-toke:

Jeeez man hopefully the weather changes lol good luck

Well then what is it? Perhaps a new category -- a phauto?
Maybe a fauxto?

Day 15 of 12/12 ...All I know for sure is that she's a girl...
1 AH.jpg

Find the pistils!...(both of 'em)...🤪
2 AH.jpg

So, she's trying, but not very hard...
