Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

@Carcass man that GG looks good the colors you draw out from those strains you've been growing.... damn they just look like straight up candy. Good work man. :passitleft:

@Trala I've used Dr.Ziggy's low and slow method and it works well, and it does preserves the terpene profile like carcass was stating. Try it, it won't disappoint. I think a lot of people think its crazy, almost like they do when you tell them about washing your buds right after harvest.
I must have ADHD coz I cant follow that thread. I cant make myself concentrate.

I'm the type of brain who needs step by step instructions, even a picture or two LOL

Eg:

1. stand in front of fridge >insert picture<
2. Open door >insert arrow to door<

Just kidding, I'm not that bad.

I was in a thread the other day and someone was good enough to talk me through it. I just need to find it. I think the biggest problem with me is I talk... alot! And I don't listen and retain. I think a fit punishment is having to wade through my own posts in my quest to find it. Reading me is making me want to gouge my eyes out, not even joking! No wonder people put me on block LOLLINGGGGG

Hey @Carcass

If I may ask you and the other cool folks in this thread a question about some equipment. I’m downscaling from a grow room to a grow box. Just recently had to ditch five plants and lots of other stuff just to play it safe. It was an extremely safe move on my part but “ain’t nobody got time for all that”!

So I’m upping my stealth game. Can I get some opinions on the best way to go in regards to fans/scent control? I don’t mind spending some money to build this thing nice and tight so I’m thinking about not only effective airflow and scent control but also want to keep things as quiet as possible. I’m going ultra sneaky on this one. Thanks in advance and sorry if this wasn’t the right way to ask my question.

Beautiful end to a great looking plant Carcass...congratulations! Mrs C has to be used to this by now, it's not like you grow once in a while.
Thanks, Shed- yeah, she is used to it, but I think harvest time reminds her that she hasn't griped about it for awhile ...
Well I am having trouble with high RH during burping, thank you for the tip. I will make one.
Shed to the rescue!
I cant follow that thread.
Shed to the rescue once again!

I can't help you with the odor control, since I don't use any (hence the griping wife :) ) but for quiet fans, I recommend the AC Infinity Multifan s3 (Model AI MPF120) totally silent, usb powered, 3 speed fans.
I paid $11.00 each, but they may be a little more now. I use 6 in the box- 2 exhausts, 1 intake, 2 circulators, and 1 on the floor. I use the 3 speed feature to control the temps in the box.
And they last 80,000 hours...hell, they might outlive me!
My go-to low and slow instructions are here!
Thank You!, Shed! You have an amazing ability to find "the right stuff":thanks:

That is so sweet. Thanks for that knowledge! I’m seriously thinking of turning a gun safe into a grow box. Bolting it to the floor. Running my wires and ducting through the wall side of the safe and or the bottom. Using an old rusted and trashed out looking safe mind you. Just “off in the corner/lost the key” type thing. Ha!

That is a great idea- fireproof too!...and probably taller than the box I grow in...

Once again, it's Monday...so it's time for a little Update...
I'm down to the 2 outside ladies now, Soon to be just 1...

First, the FastBuds Blackberry auto-70 days old, 26" tall, and getting chopped tomorrow...she's slowed way down on her water consumption, and some of her sugar leaves are starting to die, so it's time...

The SaugaView®:

2.jpg

She started to get a few aphids in the last 2 weeks, a few sprays with Insecticidal soap got rid of them...I'll hose her off this afternoon to wash any soap residue off, and then tomorrow, chop-chop!

1.jpg

She's going to be an easy harvest- I think she's only got about 50 leaves on her....
3.jpg

The main cola:
4.jpg

A closer look...
5.jpg

And then there's the WSE Blueberry auto- 21" tall, 67 days old, and still drinking plenty of water, so she's probably got a week or so to go, maybe even a little more:

7.jpg

She's showing some purple too, just not as much purple as the other one...
This one has remained pretty much pest free, except for a few whiteflies, which I mash whenever I see 'em...

6.jpg

A couple of her buds:

8.jpg

There's very few amber trichomes on this one so far, just some on the sugar leaves, and those don't count...

9.jpg

This plant was actually a scrawny thing right at first, but she's put that behind her now...

And that's about all for today...
Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support!
If everything goes according to plan, I'll be back tomorrow with a harvest update... :peace:

Have a great week!

Thanks, Shed, she really is a pretty one with her Mardi Gras colors ... :)

It's not you @Trala it's me...lol I got hooked into Wm Faulkner's style of writing when I was a preteen and have been living in my head ever since. lol But I'm getting better.. :Namaste:

Some of the purpleiest plants I've laid eyes on! :bravo:

Well lets just say its probably a little from column A and a little from column B then.

And FYI, I was today years old when I discovered who Wm Faulkner was.

Have a great week!

That is easily the most beautiful MJ plant I have ever seen in my whole life.

You sir are a grow wizard! A Gizard!

I feel I need an extra special Mardi Gras edition of my much sought after hooray songs for this grow C Fish :) :) :)

Gorgeous colourful plants, Carcass. Yay for less trimming!

I hope today's harvest goes well for you! Those two autos are very lovely, indeed. :bravo:

This one has remained pretty much pest free, except for a few whiteflies, which I mash whenever I see 'em...
Whiteflies are probably the worst insect pest we deal with here in our yard. They seem to infest everywhere - hibiscus, mandevilla, iris, even my olive tree.. but I've never had any of them bother my cannabis plants.

It's time for Tuesday's "better late than never" Harvest update!
The 70 day old Blackberry auto is done, and drying in the back room.
Got a few pics of the process:

A final look at her, or 2:

2.JPG

And, 2 hours later, she looked like this:
3.JPG

I decided to dry her in one piece, since she's not really very big..
3a.jpg

Surprisingly (to me) I only had 3 little "oopsies", which will do just fine as testers:

4.JPG

The scissor hash, which will get smoked tonight...(yum)
4a.jpg

I weighed her before hanging her up:
5.JPG

9.1oz. , so maybe 2 ounces after drying...not a whole lot, but there wasn't really a whole lot to her.

Here's where she'll live for 5 or 6 days, next to the almost dry enough Gorilla Glue, which was harvested on Saturday.

One more look at the rather sparse main cola-
12.jpg

And that's about it for now, except for one more thing...

I want to send out a very special Thank You to my friend, @BooWho2 ...

This plant would not have been possible without her!

Thank you for looking!
I appreciate your support.. :peace:

And now the quotes:

I know a little more about Mr. Faulkner than Trala does...I've heard of him before today...that's about it though... :)...I'm not much of a reader...
Some of the purpleiest plants I've laid eyes on!
Me too, GDB! I think the Blackberry will actually be black once it dries...
That is easily the most beautiful MJ plant I have ever seen in my whole life.
Thanks, Trala!
Those contrasting colors were awful pretty, I've got to admit!
Gorgeous colourful plants, Carcass. Yay for less trimming!
Thanks, HashGirl! I'm all for less trimming, although I don't seem to get done very much faster...
Those two autos are very lovely, indeed.
Thanks, Beez! The Blueberry is the real surprise- (I think) there's going to be a lot of weed on that little lady...not a lot like your plants... , but a lot for a little 21" thing...
Whiteflies are probably the worst insect pest we deal with here in our yard.
The only thing the Whiteflies really bother here are were Mrs.C's Basil plants- they actually killed a few of those...They don't really bother the weed plants much, maybe 5 or 6 total on the whole plant.

man she still looks like a winner to me, just be-uti-ful congrats.

I know a little more about Mr. Faulkner than Trala does...I've heard of him before today...that's about it though... :)...I'm not much of a reader...
His writing style was a stream of consciousness type sort of like have a conversation with yourself or (this is where I get lost) having a conversation with someone else all in your head where you supply both sides of the conversation. Sort of like playing chess and you're on both sides trying to outwit the other you. Its ok when you're the only one in the room, not so much when you've been medicating and there's other people around.

man she still looks like a winner to me, just be-uti-ful congrats.
Thanks, raziel- Yeah, I'm going to miss that one- she was fun and easy to grow!
It's almost as big as the fridge in the background of the first pic.
Yeah, Mrs.C. is going to teach the granddaughters to cook...figured she'd get 'em started early.
Little Nova already cooks up a great plastic pancake and egg breakfeast in the pressure cooker....
