Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Hey C!

I had to catch up a bit but not much has changed. The IG is still a lovely specimen and the banter still quite entertaining. Congrats on the new baby though.

Seems that almost everyone using GF has their own way of doing it. Its been interesting reading about the different approaches and seeing the results. IMO, your method is the most radical, for lack of a better word. :Rasta:

I guess "simplicity" is a relative term.

Stay safe distant relative! :Rasta:

Thanks, GDB!
IMO, your method is the most radical,
TBH, I'm surprised it's working as well as it is...although the IG still isn't as green as I'd like it to be....
I guess "simplicity" is a relative term.
I'm going to give the GF nutes another chance on the outdoor plants, and I'm planning on using it
the right way this time (follow the directions to the tee)... for the simplicity... :)
Hey, we’re growing amnesias as the same time!
Cool! I can watch and see how a real expert does it!:thumb:
Lil’ Dope looks very happy hanging out in your little box.
She is extremely happy today- hopefully that doesn't change when I top her tomorrow...:cheesygrinsmiley:
I am gonna have symmetry baby, SYMMETRY!
You'll be amazed how much easier the training is- those clones were pretty tricky!

Hope you're having a good weekend Mr.C.

If your IG comes up even remotely smelling like grapefruit, I'm in.
It sounds amazing.

Who was the breeder on that one?

Hi, VG- glad to see you're feeling a bit better...

So far, So good- I hope yours is also going well!

I got that seed from @Justin Goody , but I'm pretty sure it was originally from the "unmentionable" seed folks...
It was, indeed.
I forgot I even gave you that one! From the same freebie batch last year as the Green Crack.
I just started a Dr. S (photo freebie) too, in totally unrelated news lol

Looking good over there, as always. I’m sure you’ll treat that Amnesia right. She’ll be 13 inches tall before you know it ;)

I’m sure you’ll treat that Amnesia right.
She did me the honor of sprouting, so I figure I owe it to her... ;)
Now if we could just get some dependable sunshine around here for the next few months...

Cool! I can watch and see how a real expert does it!:thumb:
Ha! Yeah right, I’m preparing myself to get blown out of the water by your magical box of wonders. Or is that one of the outdoor summer girls?

Or is that one of the outdoor summer girls?
She's going to be an outdoor girl- although, both of the outside girls will be put inside, under my old light
on the days when the sun don't shine...which seems to be happening waaayy too often this year...

Now if we could just get some dependable sunshine around here for the next few months...
Dependable sunshine..What’s that even like? :laughtwo: Don’t ask my autos that went outside early.
Batch 2 all just sprouted though, and they will get a better chance at the sunshine life…or as close to it as WA can get them.

Dependable sunshine..What’s that even like?
I barely remember it...:hmmmm: although, it is shining today...still cold though, with the 40mph winds
we've had for the last 3 days...but when the wind stops, the clouds come back...can't win this year...
I should probably just call them my semi-outdoor plants:)

At least you got plants underway for the sunshine when it comes.
It's sunny again today, so things are looking up!
You're germinating like a pro here.
Not so much...there was one quick casualty mid week- the seed immediately sunk and then turned black...
probably just a bad seed, but it still goes on my record as a miss....
Only a fool would schlep plants in and out like that!
I know, right? What in the hell is wrong with me?:hmmmm:

Nah, some have to get blamed on nature!
I'll give that one to nature, I just hope it's not her new "thing":)

I've got lil Nova again today, so Monday's update will have to wait till tomorrow....
I hope everyones week is off to a great start!

I hope everyone's week is going well so far....
It's time for my "better late than never" Tuesday Update...

The plants have all been doing well this last week...the 84 day old Iced Grapefruit is still dropping a few leaves, but all in all she's in pretty good shape...a little pale in the center, just like the Kalashnikov was- not sure why that is...I wouldn't mind, except the pale buds don't get very big.
The SaugaView®:
1.jpg

She was flipped to 12/12 33 days ago, first flowers appeared 24 days ago- I think those colas are going to be pretty fat by harvest time, which is probably about a month from now...
2.jpg

A closer look at a couple of her buds...
3.jpg

I was initially worried that the @Atreum Lighting Hydra-1000 wouldn't put out enough light to produce
solid, dense buds, but (as usual) I was worried over nothing- it's doing an amazing job @ just 100 watts...

And today was also watering day for the IG (every other day now) She got her "every 12 day" dose of GF Veg nutes +1.75gBPN CalMag & 1.25g BPN Easy Weed on Sunday, so today was just water plus the BPN stuff...
Here she is before she went back into the box:
10a.jpg

You may have noticed in the first pic, there's another seedling hanging on the wall in the box- that's an Amnesia auto that sprouted 4 days ago...the soil in the cup was pre-charged with 1/4 tsp. of Geo Flora veg., and 1/8g of Earth Alive soil activator, about a 3 days before the seed went in. The Soil Activator is what makes the perlite look rusty.
6.jpg

Hanging them in the box like that seems to give them just the right amount of light- They grow fine and they don't stretch at all. (I don't like it when seedlings stretch and get all leggy)
This one will also live outside after she gets transplanted into a 3 gallon pot- probably about a week from now. Her amended soil is cooking as we speak....
5.jpg

The Chocodope auto from @BooWho2 was hanging there last week, but now she's in a new 3 gallon home, and she lives outside during the day (she gets schlepped in at night) .
Yesterday was her first day out there, so she was in the semi-shade under the apricot tree to get her acclimated to the sun. Today she's in full sun and loving it! She's 2 weeks old today.
She's a very happy little plant..:)
7.jpg

Her soil was pre charged with 50g of GeoFlora veg about 2 weeks ago, and I added 14g of Soil Activator a
week ago (when the GF stuff got here from potm)
She's in a plastic pot inside a (3 gal)fabric pot to keep the roots cool- Great Idea, @InTheShed ...thank you!

I'm going to top her a little later than I usually do- I usually top above node#3, she'll be topped above node #4 as soon as there's enough node#5 to cut off..probably this evening.
8.jpg

And that's about all that's been happening for the last week 8 days...

Thanks for looking, I really appreciate the support :peace:

Covid is almost in the rearview, but not quite...lets all keep doing what we've been doing- it seems to be working!
