Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Fully vaxxed on Friday! :woohoo:

59g.-Just a smidge over 2 oz.- not great, but not terrible either.
Congrats on taking a stalled runt and turning it into over 2 ounces of stinky cannabis! I hope it smokes as good as it smells. :)
50g GeoFlora Veg nutes, 1.5g BPN CalMag, 1g BPN Easy Weed, and 4ml Silica Blast.
I'm beginning to lose track of the GF advantage here...
She's finally big enough that she doesn't look silly in a silhouette shot...
Noice! Not silly at all.
this is the point in the grow when I really need it
:goodluck:

Fully vaxxed on Friday!
Wonderful news! It is a good feeling, like a big sigh of relief after feeling/being vulnerable for the last 15 months or so...
I'm beginning to lose track of the GF advantage here...
I hear that...I lost track awhile back- although I might of used some additives with my former nutes too, just not as much...
It's actually working well so far, the only yellow is at the very bottom of the plant.

And to borrow a little thing from @InTheShed , you can find the Monday update here ...

Congrats on the harvest, Carcass. It looks good.

The Iced Grapefruit is looking really good, too. Quick question, if you put them into flower, why are you still using Veg nutes?

Thank you HashGirl!

Good question, HG!
Well, the Kalashnikov auto was doing fine until I switched to the GF Bloom nutes- 2/3rds of it immediately turned yellow (within 3 days) ....This didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling about their Bloom nutes and the Iced Grapefruit, so I decided to stick with Veg - because it has more nitrogen..and I'm adding the CalMag for a little more Nitrogen, and the EasyWeed for the extra phosphorous and potassium needed for flowering.(they're both from @Blue Planet Nutrients )
The combination is working very well so far, so I'm just going to stick with it unless I see a reason to switch, like if the leaves start to get crispy or something ...none of that yet though.

Congrats on the harvest! 2 oz is a very nice stash. Oh my chocodope! Just in time, I feel the need to drool over another one and I’m sure you’ll knock it out of the park too carcass. Yay for Mrs c! Now that you mention it, I’m fully vaccinated now too. :Namaste:

Thank you, HH- and it's true- it would last me over a year if I was the only one smokin' on it... I'm about to put it to the test in just a few minutes...:rollit:
Now that you mention it, I’m fully vaccinated now too. :Namaste:
Sweet! One less (big) thing to be stressed about!

So, this happened this morning...:cheesygrinsmiley:..... Thanks again, @BooWho2 !

Chocodope Sprout 5-11-21.jpg

The force is strong with that one.
It sure is!
A little over 48 hours from soak to sprout...
I've got that rare "warm, fuzzy feeling" about this one!

Well Hello, Amy!
I hope your staycation is going well, and thanks for stopping by!
You know my door is always open...:hugs:

I can't wait to watch them grow up together.
Sounds like fun, Trala!
Congrats Carcass on MotM nomination. Good luck!
Thanks, Mr.S.!

Happy Saturday, 420!
Not an update... just going to post up a little trick that you can use if you ever end up
with "soggy seedling syndrome" (Soil in the seedling cup is too wet, like soggy wet)

(maybe a little update-that's my Chocodope auto seedling)

So first, you'll need a second solo cup, the same size as the one the (soggy) seedling is in...(it doesn't have to be an opaque cup, since no roots are showing yet)
1.jpg

Then, (and this is very important) the drain holes in the seedling cup need to be cut with scissors, like this: (the @InTheShed method)
(it won't work if the holes are just poked in the bottom of the cup)
The scissor cut holes can be added at any time, even if you've already got other holes in the bottom...
2.jpg

So now, you take 1/4 of a paper towel, and lay it on top of the second solo cup:
3.jpg

Then you take your soggy cup and sit it inside of the second cup, like this:
Push it down as far as it'll go- it'll be a very snug fit...
4.jpg

This is what you'll end up with...
5.jpg

Now, you just leave it alone for 45 minutes or so...then, pull the seedling cup out...you'll notice the paper towel has wicked out a bunch of water, and is now soaking wet, so you do it again with a fresh, dry paper towel.
You may need to repeat the process 5 or 6 times or more...you'll know you're done when the paper towel comes out dry.
At this time, you'll also notice that the seedling cup no longer weighs a pound or so- now it weighs as much as a properly watered solo cup should weigh....

You might say "jeez, that's gonna take all day!"...while this may be true, it's still a lot faster than the 8 or 10 days it would take for the soggy cup to dry out naturally. (which is also long enough to stunt a seedling)

So there ya go!
Some folks may never have this problem, I'm one of the folks that occasionally does, so this is how I fix it..

Thanks for looking, hopefully, this helps a few people...
Have a great weekend!

Much safer than transplanting out of the cup and into a new, drier one.

Yeah- I consider myself lucky if it sprouts at all, so I really don't want to chance a transplant- not with these sausage fingers :)
