Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

I actually did all 3....It may of helped some-but I might have just been too stoned to tell...being that stoned wasn't actually unpleasant- it's just real weird waking up that way (and having it last almost 4 hours)

Update Time!

The SuperSilver Haze has been doing fine this week, the only change is that she's grown half
an inch or so, and gotten a little wider...34 days since the flip, 83 days old today...

And a shot through the door- she fills that box pretty well now- she needs water soon- she's not drooping yet, but she will be by this afternoon

And a budshot or 2- I think she's going to be a real frosty one by the end...

This is a branch I broke almost all the way off about two weeks ago- immediately slapped some scotch tape on there to hold it back up, and it healed up just fine...It's about an inch behind the other branches now, so it slowed it down a little

Here's a silhouette shot

She's still a little too dark green, so I dropped her MegaCrop down another quarter gram, to 4.75g/gal

That's about all there is for today - this plant is going to be with us for awhile- she's supposed to flower for 10 or 11 weeks, so we'll have to see how that goes- she's actually only about 3 weeks in now...(I'm counting from first flowers, not the flip 34 days ago)

Thank You for looking!
I appreciate the support...:peace:

I hope you all have a great week, and continue to stay as safe as possible!

I can’t wait to try and grow like this. I swear my next plant is getting a bit of Carcass grow style with a sprinkle of Heavenly Hybrid grow style. I have six clones planted and I’m desperate to strike one, but two would be perfect for me to get this grow style happening. It is head and shoulders above my favourite looking grow style.

She looks fantastic @Carcass . Great job buddy
Thank you, Sparkey! Right back at ya...your plants are gorgeous!
I have my doubts that it was a complete decarb
15 minutes probably wasn't long enough, although those nugs were pretty small, and the cool down time probably added about 10 minutes to the decarb...it definitely decarbed enough of it to keep me too stoned for way toooo long... :lot-o-toke:Hell, if it did a complete decarb, I might still be stoned...

I have to thank you for the giggles
You're welcome, Boo!...Mrs.C. also got quite the kick out of it... the word "dumbass" was thrown around a little....;)
I can’t wait to try and grow like this.
I think you're gonna do a great job, Trala!

She vegged for 44 days- it took that long to decide that she wasn't an auto- seems early, but with my height limit, I can't let them get real big before the flip
You did better than me! I looked at my faux-auto for 50 days before concluding something wasn't right.

Dudes, I've been staring at mine for 60 days... :laughtwo:

I'm not even set up for flowering photos, but why not give it a shot. I'll try to learn a little from you.

Welcome to my little journal, NC!

Another faux auto!...a lot of that going around, it seems....
By far, the most important thing is being able to provide her complete darkness for 12 hours a day for pretty much the rest of her life...I started out growing photos in the box, so It got light-proofed about a year ago by adding light baffles to the intakes and exhausts..
Have you figured out where you're going to put her ? (closet, shed, dark garage?)

Or, are you? ... are we really here?
I'm here.......wait...what day is it?

Welcome to my little journal, NC!
Thank you! :)

Have you figured out where you're going to put her ? (closet, shed, dark garage?)
I placed it in a closet today, which I hope is dark enough. It has no ventilation or anything, it's an "emergency" procedure... I wasn't prepared for flowering a photo. It'll have to stay in the closet for 12 hours, then in the tent with lights on for 12 hours together with the other autos, doing the move every 12th hours - don't know if I'll be able to keep that up for a couple of months. There's this old 75W blurple UFO that I may try in the closet for some days when I'm away. The worry is that whatever I do, there may be some stress or "photo error" to ruin it. I've never dealt with a photo before so I don't know quite what to expect. My journal will be updated with this mysterious lady's future history...

Actually, you really only need to provide darkness
for 4 hours a day- nighttime will take care of the other 8- you'll just have to work out the schedule..
But it's still something you'll need to keep up for a couple of months...
I had to schlep my outdoor plants in and out every day for a couple of months..It's kind of a pain, but
it's definitely do-able...heck, @InTheShed wouldn't know how to act if he didn't have
to do his daily schlepping :)

Ah, but there's a twist. Nighttime in the tent is at daytime outside... I have it turned around to manage temperatures.

The closet is in a bedroom that never receives direct light during daytime, except a little ambient light leaking through the curtains and the door. I'll make a light proofing thingy of cardboard to shut of the tiny crack between in the closet's doors. Edit: found a blue LED in the room that I didn't spot earlier - I'm applying black tape!

May I ask 2 Qs of you experts:

I may already have subjected it to non optimal light conditions. Is it super critical to go straight to an exact 12/12 or can you wiggle your way a little there?

After flipping, if deviating from a strict 12/12 schedule, what's worse of too long night or day for the plant?

As for the schlepping, I'll just have to endure :laughtwo:

A tiny amount of light that is consistent won't effect the plants, but changes to the lighting can create hermies.

Less than 12 hours of light on any given night is okay, less than 12 hours of dark is not.

Can you get a big piece of cardboard or something to block the door from the outside? Or thick tape along the gaps?

Also, put a fan in there for air circulation. It's going to get pretty wet in there on the days after you water.

OK - no less than 12 hour darkness - noted! The room is in use, so "boarding it up", isn't really an option. I simply can't guarantee that there won't be a tiny amount of ambient light in the room at times, but hopefully the closet will block of enough of that. Yeah, ventilation... I have no solution right now, apart from cardboard monster constructions (maybe I'll do it).

So yeah, this is the worlds clumsiest photo-op. A stunt that will have to serve as an experiment in what you can get away with or not... I'm fine whichever way it goes - it's exciting nonetheless :)

I don't want to hijack Carcass' journal with this though  I do have a place for it after all.

So it'd be better to forget them in the closet, than forgetting to put them in the closet.
And, as Shed said, you'll need a fan in there- ideally to pull in fresh air and circulate the air in the closet.

No worries about my journal- we're learning stuff, and that's what it's here for:thumb:

I'll share a pic of Olga the OG Kush faux auto waking up after her first 12 hour night (there's a BCN Critical XXL to the left and CBD 20:1 to the right). She looks quite perky so far, with her 11-fingered leaves pointing slightly upwards straight out of the closet:

Edit: An hour or so later she's strutting her stuff like I've hardly seen before! Even though that is encouraging, I know that the long run is what matters here, with the photo regime being critical.
