Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Hi, Sye!
This is what I was looking for. Would've made organising my quadline a lot simpler.
You should make some up- takes about ten minutes to make 30 of them....the hooks do make it pretty easy to build a nice flat canopy...and it only pokes one hole in the soil, so there's less chance of damaging the roots...

20ga. solid core thermostat wire is what I use for the hook- strong enough to hold the branches down, but soft enough to make the hooks out of- each hook takes apx 10cm of wire- make them up once, and like I said earlier- they'll last for years...

Oh, and you'll also need some of them skewers...:)

Invaluable! Thank you. Bookmarked!! :high-five: :Namaste:

Tuesday update time!

The SSH (not an) auto had a good week- only grew about an inch, but getting wider all the time...
Today is day 44 for her, and still no flowering....so she's getting flipped to 12/12 either tonight or tomorrow.
She does have a few tiny preflowers with pistils (so we know for sure that she's a girl) but that's about all.
She's a little droopy right now- she needs water today sometime...she's looking a bit pale, so I'll bump her MegaCrop up to 5g/gal. (her last feed on Friday was 4.5g)
1608066756182.jpeg

The canopy still looks pretty good- a good starting point for 12/12...I could probably let her veg another week or 2, but I have a feeling she's going to do some major stretching after the flip
1608066926695.jpeg

Since I want her a little wider than the container she's in, I added some styrofoam "outriggers" to the pot,
so she's 18" wide now, which is about right- she'll fill out more as she stretches.
1608067230742.jpeg

Her training is pretty much done now- that flat canopy will probably be gone by this time next week, and keeping the tall shoots from getting too tall will be the challenge from here on in...
At least that's my plan- she may have different ideas....

That's about it for today- next week should be a little more interesting, once she starts to stretch..

Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support:peace:
And please stay safe out there- It's nice that there's a vaccine, but we've still got to be careful!

I wondered about that as those were not listed anywhere on the site as an auto, and came as freebies. Mislabeled maybe?
Not the end of the world, luckily! Unless it has like a 120 day flower time...

Looking forward to seeing her stretch. Let the fun begin.
Me too- I have a feeling that she's going to go apeshit after the flip...

No problem at all- I'll even save a few bucks on electricity..According to the seed place, 10 or 11 week flowering time, so a little bit longer than I'm used to, but not much...I'm not in any hurry, so if she ends up taking 120 days, I'm fine with that too ;)

The canopy still looks pretty good-
That canopy looks perfect!
Tuesday update time!
YAY! :slide:
Today is day 44 for her, and still no flowering.
Oof! I am the little engine that could and still believe in her....but you seem to have gotten effed by the seed man. asshole.
She does have a few tiny preflowers with pistils (so we know for sure that she's a girl) but that's about all.
Maybe she is a late bloomer? My Zkittles went 41 days before flowering so.... :eye-roll:

Once again, you come up with a new fangled idea to make things works efficiently. :bravo::high-five:

regardless of whether she is an auto or a photo - she looks marvelous. :welldone:

Just lovely carcass. I had the same situation in reverse, I thought it was a photo and started quad training, and it turned out to be an auto... Lmao, I’d much rather have the big beautiful plant you’ve got!

can you stick your hooks to the floor and tie the wide branches down that way?
I could, and that would work well, but I rotate the plant 1/4 turn a couple of times a day (just something I do) so however I do it needs to move with the pot. You can't really see it in the pics, but the plant sits on one of those swivel thingys so it's easy to rotate...
but GPTZ was Grommet Potz! I think they went bust though.
 Thanks for the clarification, Mr.S!

She got flipped to 12/12 last night...so we'll never know for sure....:hmmmm:
but you seem to have gotten effed by the seed man.
Actually, the seed was from Justin:)...Thinking back on when I recieved the seeds, I'm not 100% sure he said it was an auto- he sent it with some auto seeds, and I may have just assumed it was also an auto...
Either way, it's doing great now, so I'm happy with it...

I’d much rather have the big beautiful plant you’ve got!
Thanks ,HH!
(I Hope) She's about to get alot bigger once she gets her stretch on...

Really verdant! Super carcass! The shades of green just shout a healthy vibrancy that you know will continue through the stretch and into flower. Have a great day and stay stoneder

So beautiful!

Carcass you LST like a boss!

Watching me LST is like watching an episode of Criminal Minds. I become the serial killer. I can see my plants trembling when I walk towards them with ties and pegs. Honestly I have never managed a single plant bondage session without ripping at least one limb off or splitting the main body In two.

Thank you for the kind words, Tra!
Watching me LST is like watching an episode of Criminal Minds. I become the serial killer.
I've snapped quite a few things off- always right at the beginning of training (when they don't seem to be hooked on very well :) ).
The last one I broke off survived being tied down just fine, but it didn't survive me dropping my magnifying glass on it...
Fortunately, the plants don't seem to mind as much as we do...

Tuesday Update time!

The Super Silver Haze is 51 days old today- she got flipped to 12/12 on day 44 (last Tuesday) ,so it's flip day 7 for her.
She didn't grow any much till Sunday, but she's grown 2 inches since then, so she's starting to stretch a little .
fed 5.25g/gal MC & 4 ml Silica Blast/gal.
She's also growing in used ProMix HP- the same soil and pot that my last auto (Wedding Cheesecake) grew in-
and she seems pretty happy in there..no complaints yet, anyway....

The SaugaView®:

The canopy is still pretty flat, with the help of some bamboo skewers, which are also steering the tops to the open spots in the canopy so they don't get in each others way...
1608665919434.jpeg

No flowers showing at the tops...they don't yet have that "funny" look to 'em...
1608666580432.jpeg

But there are some pistils sprouting at the nodes- not very many, but she'll eventually get there...she definitely isn't in a hurry...
1608666760954.jpeg

She's wide enough now (18-19") so (I think) she'll just be growing taller from here on in.
Hopefully, not too tall...2 feet is about the limit in there..

That's about all I've got for you today...
Not that much to report on with just 1 plant going...
Hopefully she gets more interesting this week...

Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support!
And please- stay safe out there...there is a light at the end of this tunnel, but we're not there yet... :peace:

Thanks, Vet!
Gonna be one full box that's for sure
Yeah, it may end up pretty tight in there- hopefully the stretch isn't too crazy
