Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Good afternoon, Prof!
I know how you feel with the seedlings dying.
It's bad enough when they just don't sprout...when they sprout and immediately start dying, it just adds insult to injury!
Hopefully, that's all behind us now ;)

I got this bag today. Looks totally different than the others I've had and it has black flakes in it that dont dissolve and there aren't any of the little balls.

There is a new version but I haven't seen it yet. I guess that is what it looks like.

I can’t find anywhere saying you don’t have to ph it
I know @InTheShed hasn't pH'd his water for a long time, and his plants grow just fine(exceptionally well, in fact)...Something about Mega Crop being amino acid based nutrients as opposed to salt based.
This means that the nutes are available to the plants under a lot wider pH range.
At least that's how I understand it...but I still pH my water, because....expensive new pH tester.... :)

Looks totally different than the others
Sure does- looks easier to dissolve (except for those black specks, whatever they are...)
There is a new version but I haven't seen it yet.
I saw some in my son's ( @13goody13 ) thread, and @Virgin Ground also posted up some pics.
I won't need any for a year or so, so I'll be using the chunky stuff for quite awhile .
My wife says it smells like poop.
I've got the v2 or v2.5 ,so, the poop smelling stuff!;)

The new stuff is great. The specks eventually disappear... And ya I do pH my water a bit but only because it’s 8ish and I’d rather have it in a normal range to start. If I buy distilled water it comes out of the jug at about 6.9 and that with MegaCrop works fine with nothing else.

I have to age my water before use. Otherwise my pH isn't stable.

The new stuff doesn't smell like the old stuff. I actually prefer the old formula. It smells like something organic and familiar( family farm) , the new stuff smells caustic almost, perhaps chemical saltiness. I wear a mask when I mix this up. I'm sure the old formula wasn't any better for me to inhale.

I hope they haven't "improved" it to death...
I don't mind the smell (v2)- it stinks a little, but it's a "friendly" stink ;)

I don't have time to start from the beginning
No, you have to go back and read every word!

Kidding! Anytime you want to stop by is the right time!
I was just over in your journal reading about edibles...I've never made brownies, but I've got the gummy making process down pretty well...
