Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Thanks for the kind words, Dean!
that one should get some pics for plant of the month brother
I may enter one of her buds in the Nug OTM contest, just because they're sooo purple....

Thanks,Sly!
She was a colorful one- no pink, but more than enough purple to go around!

Well, this morning I found some aphids on the in/outdoor plant, so she's coming down today...
Just a few aphids, but I can't bring her into the house anymore, and I can't spray them with anything this close to harvest, so chop it is!

I'ts pretty boring around here, so trim jail actually sounds like a welcome distraction....not fun, but at least it's something to do...
Anyway, here's a couple of trichome shots- best I can do with my camera. I have a usb microscope, but it's sort of a pain in the ass to use, so you just have to squint a little to see the amber on
the calyx's but it's there..not a lot, but enough to call it "good"

I don't think one more day would have made much difference anyway, so I'll just harvest before the aphids
take over- they are remarkably efficient at infesting a plant in a very short period of time.

I'll post up some harvest pics a little later on today- this one's going to take a little longer to trim than that one I did yesterday... :)

Oh how I know. Looking great C, congrats bro! You've motivated me, I'm gonna chop something tonight also! CHeers! :yahoo:

Thanks,Prof!

Hell yes! This is the second day in a row that I'm harvesting something...now I won't have anything to do tomorrow...!
Color my world with those beauties! :ciao:
Thanks for the compliment, Fred !
Damn aphids!!
Fortunately,I caught them real early, before they got to the buds...a shitload of leafhoppers also lost their happy homes....

Well that one's done....

Bigger job than the one yesterday, but not really too bad...I tried removing the big fan leaves while it was still in the pot,and I think that made trimming a helluva lot easier....maybe not,but it seemed to...
So here's what I started with- Homemade Low Ryder#2 x Northern Lights/Afghani, plant was 99 days old today. I had it down as flowering for 49 days, but I think I'm about 10-14 days off.

Before fan leaf removal:

And after...

Different view:

You might notice that white ring -I stuck that in there about two months ago to keep things spread out to let more light into the center of the plant.
It did what it was supposed to do,but I don't know if it helped anything or not.

Here's the pan o buds- 529g wet (18.9 oz),so probably around 4.5oz dry...not too bad for a 21" plant.

And hanging in the closet, for the next 5 days or so..(back row is the pink kush from yesterday)

So that's it for this one-

That clone I've got is from her,and it'll be part of my outdoor grow this year-it's going to grow in a ten gallon Geopot,so it should get bigger than it's mom (3 gallon pot)
I also just realized that I've only got one empty 2 quart jar,so I'll need to scrounge up a few more before this stuff dries...

Thanks for looking ,I appreciate the support! :peace:

I've got some journals to catch up on,so I'll see you around!
I hope everyone is staying safe out there...

Great haircut!!
I've got a little more manicuring to do today, but for the most part, it all got
trimmed up while still in the pot, which I think is how I'm gonna do it from now on
Big monster colas!!
Thanks,Chef! That plant did pretty well, considering her less-than-perfect light schedule...
She was indoors for the last week and a half-the sun went away the beginning of last week, and pretty much stayed away.
Some big old donkey D colas you got there
Thanks, shotta!
Yeah,I'm glad I took that clone, she looks like she's worth growing again...should do great out in the sun, if it ever shows itself again...it's raining right now.

Transplanted her this morning:

Borrowed one of the wedding reception apple baskets-they've got handles, so it'll be easier to move her around- I got the cheaper Geopots, without handles. (I won them,so I'm not complaining)

She was getting too wide for the box, so she's outa there...

Have a Great day,everyone!
and Stay Safe!

I agree, I like doing a nice major Defol before harvest, it makes the final trim so much less tedious. For me anyways lol :high-five:

it makes the final trim so much less tedious.
It sure does !
I trimmed that whole plant in only a half hour longer than the little pink kush...so it's faster,too-
and my fingers weren't a sticky mess when I got done- maybe a little sticky, but not too bad...

Cute apple bucket!
Good morning,VG!
-Those apple baskets are left over from my other son's wedding
reception a couple of years ago...so I might as well use them, since this years outdoor grow needs to be portable, because of another upcoming wedding reception ....
Now if I could just find a use for all the other crap the kids have left here over the years....
