Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Fairly certain that’s a boy you have there. In regards to pollinating. will the females your pollinating be in pots or planted in ground? If they are in pots and mobile I would bring the plant inside somewhere where there is no air movement at all. Or you could bag the branches with a ziplock or any kind of bag to prevent them from getting wet. Spray everything everywhere in your greenhouse and plants to mitigate stray pollen. When you have sprayed them down welll carefully remove the bags trying to keep all moisture off the buds you had bagged. Then take a little paint brush or cue tip and apply the pollen to the buds. Making sure to pollinate when there is plenty of white hairs around week 3-4 depending on the strain. Hope this helps.

Just a little Thursday flower update...

The pink Jasmine makes the whole yard smell wonderful...but oddly, only in the late afternoon....

You probably thought I meant cannabis flowers... ;)

6 dozen white roses and a bunch of other flowers (that I don't know the names of) arrived yesterday afternoon - They were for my son's wedding reception that was going to happen Saturday, but is now on hold till...whenever.
He cancelled them last week, but the flower company sent them out anyway...that was nice of them, but also pretty sad that they're all going to waste...My laundry area does look pretty nice right now,though...

That's all for today (so far)
Thanks for looking, and Stay Safe out there!

Beautiful flowers! If you want to do something nice with them, let the roses open up more and then hang them upside down to dry. After they dry, you can spray them with hairspray and you can make a nice little arrangement that will last forever. Just a thought. They are so beautiful!! So happy to hear your son is good. What a relief!! :)

That's a good idea, because I hate the idea of just sticking them in the greenwaste in a week or so...
I'll have 72 roses to choose from,so I'll dry the nicest looking dozen, and save it for when the reception actually happens Thank You,HH!

So happy to hear your son is good.
Yeah, that was a relief...now I can concentrate on worrying about my 4 other kids... :)

That sounds wonderful!! I might err on the side of caution and go double the amount you dry. They become very fragile after drying and can break easily, especially when putting them together for the bouquet/arrangement. Just my 2 cents. I think your kids will be happily surprised.

Sucks that it was cancelled, but it’s just better that way in these weird times!! I hope they don’t charge you guys for the flowers when it was there Mess up of sending them!! Hope you guys are doing okay!! You’ve got some pretty flowers to look at and smell though! Oh and the pretty roses as well!

I think so too, HH .
I'll dry a bunch more than I'll need-these sausage fingers and tender dried roses aren't a good mix...
at least I don't have to cure them....
I hope they don’t charge you guys for the flowers
They didn't- Which pretty much guarantees we'll order from them again, when the time comes.
They may have just shipped them out to make room in their warehouse, since this isn't the only wedding that's been postponed during the current sucky times...

Dry the rest of the rose petals for potpourri???
Pick the nicest one and stick it in a potato. See if it grows....for science!?!?

The Jasmine is gorgeous. One of my favorite flowers and one of a handful of true aphrodisiacs in the botanical world.
I wish I could grow a cannabis plant with the same terpene profile.

Must smell amazing in there! :ciao:

Must be the popular Late-afternoon-blooming Jasmine!
We've also got one in the front yard-smells nice around here just before dark...they smell a little during the day, but probably 10 times stronger just before dark...I brought some into the house once, but it's really too strong of a smell for indoors...it does hide the cannabis smell pretty good though (not that I need to,especially now)
Pick the nicest one and stick it in a potato.
Is that a thing?- My daughter had a big box of produce delivered yesterday (she's afraid we'll starve, bless her heart...) so I've got potatoes out the wazoo...

It does smell great-grows like a weed,too...gotta keep it trimmed back or it tries to take over the whole garden-I trim it down to almost nothing every year, and it comes back with a vengeance...

If your potato and roses are pretty fresh it should work.

Cut at a 45° angle, add some rooting hormone or honey, core the potato so the rose fit snug. I think you plant it after that. My sister did it when she was getting her botany major. Grew a nice bush.
There are a bunch of tutorials on the net.

Thanks,VG , I think I'll give it a try-plenty of fresh roses and potatoes around here, and I've definitely got the time...

:rofl::laugh::rofl:
Couldn't hurt to try.
If it works it would be pretty cool imo.

Anyone here need an excuse to smoke????

I'm chewing on a gummy,as we speak :lot-o-toke:

It looks like I may be harvesting my in/outdoor plant this weekend, I'll post up some trichome pics as soon as I can get some decent ones-I finally louped them this morning, and way more amber than I expected-I must've
miscalculated how long it's been flowering-I thought it was 43 days...but it must be more like 60...so I'm only about 17 days off...

It's fine. I was watching some dirty hippy on the Youtubes and he said the plant will tap you on the shoulder when it is ready.
Be on the lookout!!

His joints were excessively large....
One of those "free thinkers".

I just can't seem to get any real good pics, but these show what I've got- a lot of amber on the sugar leaves
but not too many on the calyx's- the plant itself doesn't seem "done" -still drinking a gallon every 2 days, no fade, and the buds are still betting bigger.
These pics are the top buds-almost no amber down a little lower on the plant.
So I dunno....I'll probably give it at least a few more days, since it's still fattening up...

What do you think?
