Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

Aloha Carcass!

The plants are beautiful! I gotta say I’m intrigued by that Alaskan purple hedgery you got goin on. Layers of bud sites and lots of them. Sending you nothing but positive thoughts and vibes from Hawaii!! :passitleft:

a real looker with all that makeup on
Thanks,Mr S. !
All her little pre flowers had black calyx's, so she showed some color pretty early on...
According to Seedsman, her pistils should start turning pink(ish) pretty soon, so she should get a little prettier when/if that happens....
It was a very beautiful sunny day!
We had sunshine for about ten minutes just before dark...it was nice... :cheesygrinsmiley:
On the bright side, my rain barrel is filling up, so I'll have 40 gallons of fresh plant water...

Aloha, Sunny- For being left with only node 1 she's doing better than I thought she would....
She appears to be starting to flower just this morning- not many pistils yet, but she did grow about an inch overnight, so she's finally stretching a little...It's nice that she waited till day 33 to start this stuff

I need to get me a rain barrel.
I've always thought stuff just grows a little better with rain water....not necessarily true ,but I like to think that... ;)
My rain barrel is a trashcan during the dry times, which is almost always in this neck of the woods...

I would have thought California would be the other way around... seeing a lot of rain. You know being that close to the coast an all... like in Vancouver island Canada, they have rain more often then not. Then not much snow in the winter, but a lot of rain.

I would have thought California would be the other way around
Parts of Cali do get quite a bit of rain- unfortunately, those parts are about 200 miles north of here...
We used to get more, but that's changed in the last ten years.
Being close to the coast just means we get a lot of fog, especially in the winter...
Or, as the weather people call it - "marine layer activity with periods of low or limited visibility":)

Monday update time!
I hope everyone is safe, and staying that way!

So things are ok in the grow box- Pink Kush evidently doesn't stretch much,so it's not ever going
to be very tall, and the Alaskan Purple is stretching a little, and slowly getting into the flowering thing.

Here's the Saugaview®-APa left,PKa on the right, both 39 days old

The mutant AP is finally waking up- I had some doubts about her but she finally started growing a bit-
She's already taller than the PK- but the PK is only 6" tall....

PK is kinda pretty-you can't tell from the pic, but a lot of the trichomes are red-I'll try and get a close-up of that when the buds develop a little more...

And the AP- flowering, but the flowers look a little odd- so far anyway....

The houseplant is doing well- We haven't seen any sun here for about the last 10 days, so I bought another light to keep her happy on the sunless days.
Here she is in her temporary home...she's 77 days old now...(LowRyder#2 x Northern Lights/Afghani)
1584383012902.jpeg

She's on 6g/gal. of Mega Crop, 19 inches tall now

And then there's the clone, 26 days in the cup today, still flowering

And she finally started putting out some roots, so it looks like she'll make it...
she had me wondering for awhile...
1584384208593.jpeg

In case you're wondering what kind of light I bought...it's another cheapie, like the one I've been using in the box for the last 13 months. (Oneo 1000w / 200w actual draw)

I actually had the money set aside to get a good light, but I got a traffic ticket awhile back that cost 487 of the 500 bucks that I had saved....so that put a little dent in my plans...

This light cost me 10 bucks less than the first one, and it came with a nifty thermometer/hygrometer/clock/calendar/ thingy....and with over a year of use on the original, It doesn't hurt to have a spare.

That's about all for today- I hope you're all well, and staying safe during these troubling times !

Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support!
See you back here in a week or so...:peace:

The ladies are looking absolutely beautiful :green_heart: Loving the purple on the one:love: Bummer about the ticket:( something almost always seems to happen when we try to save for something. Hope you have a great rest of your day!
:peace::love::Namaste:

Thanks for the kind words,Candy !
Bummer about the ticket:(
It was kind of a downer-I'll still get a good light, it'll just take a while longer. ;)
Meanwhile, these cheapies actually do a pretty good job in the 2'x2' box (50w/sq.ft.)
I'll just have to use them both if I get a 2x4 tent, which is going to happen eventually...

Alls well in your garden man! :high-five:
Thanks, Stone- if they come out half as good as yours did, I'll be tickled...
Houseplant FTW! I'm so glad you kept it alive, and I bet you are too :)
Very much so-those 4 main colas are going to be "bigguns" by the time they're done...

Mostly it looks like those skinny leaves autos put out before they flower.
Before it really got started on the flowering thing, I noticed the pre flowers looked funny- each calyx has it's own stipule- which seems to be continuing at the tops...
It may be nothing, but she is a mutant...so there's that...
